Ezekiel 36

1 “But as for you, son of man, prophesy over the mountains of Israel, and you shall say: O mountains of Israel, listen to the word of the Lord.	1 Y tú, hijo de hombre, profetiza sobre los montes de Israel. Dirás: Montes de Israel, escuchad la palabra de Yahveh.
2 Thus says the Lord God: Because the enemy has said about you: ‘It is well! The everlasting heights have been given to us as an inheritance!’	2 Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Porque el enemigo ha dicho contra vosotros: «¡Ja, ja, estas alturas eternas han pasado a ser posesión nuestra!»,
3 because of this, prophesy and say: Thus says the Lord God: Because you have been made desolate, and you have been trampled on every side, and you have been made into an inheritance for the remainder of the nations, and because you rose up, over the tip of the tongue and over the shame of the people,	3 por eso, profetiza. Dirás: Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Porque habéis sido asolados y se os ha codiciado por todas partes hasta pasar a ser posesión de las otras naciones, porque habéis sido el blanco de la habladuría y de la difamación de la gente,
4 because of this, O mountains of Israel, listen to the word of the Lord God. Thus says the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the torrents, and to the valleys, and to the deserts, and to the ruins, and to the forsaken cities, which have been depopulated and ridiculed by the remainder of the nations all around:	4 por eso, escuchad, montes de Israel, la palabra del Señor Yahveh. Así dice el Señor Yahveh a los montes, a las colinas, a los barrancos y a los valles, a las ruinas desoladas y a las ciudades abandonadas que han sido entregadas al pillaje y a la irrisión del resto de las naciones circunvecinas.
5 Because of this, thus says the Lord God: In the fire of my zeal, I have spoken about the remainder of the nations, and about all of Idumea, who have given my land to themselves, joyfully, as an inheritance, and with all the heart and mind, and who have cast it out, so that they may lay waste to it.	5 Por eso, así dice el Señor Yahveh: Sí, en el ardor de mis celos voy a hablar contra las otras naciones y contra Edom entero, que, con alegría en el corazón y desprecio en el alma, se han atribuido mi tierra en posesión para entregar su pasto al pillaje.
6 Therefore, prophesy over the soil of Israel, and you shall say to the mountains, and to the hills, to the ridges, and to the valleys: Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I have spoken in my zeal and in my fury, because you have endured the shame of the Gentiles.	6 Por ello, profetiza sobre la tierra de Israel. Dirás a los montes y a las colinas, a los barrancos y a los valles: Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Ved que hablo en mis celos y mi furor: Porque habéis sufrido el ultraje de las naciones,
7 Therefore, thus says the Lord God: I have lifted up my hand, so that the Gentiles, who are all around you, will themselves bear their shame.	7 por eso, así dice el Señor Yahveh: Juro mano en alto que las naciones que os rodean cargarán con sus propios ultrajes.
8 But as for you, O mountains of Israel, spring forth your branches, and bear your fruit, to my people Israel. For they are close to their advent.	8 Y vosotros, montes de Israel, vais a echar vuestras ramas y a producir vuestros frutos para mi pueblo Israel, porque está a punto de volver.
9 For behold, I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you will be plowed, and you will receive seed.	9 Sí, heme aquí por vosotros, a vosotros me vuelvo, vais a ser cultivados y sembrados.
10 And I will multiply men among you and among all the house of Israel. And the cities shall be inhabited, and the ruinous places shall be restored.	10 Yo multiplicaré sobre vosotros los hombres, la casa de Israel entera. Las ciudades serán habitadas y las ruinas reconstruidas.
11 And I will fill you again with men and with cattle. And they will be multiplied, and they will increase. And I will cause you to live as from the beginning, and I will give you even greater gifts than those you had from the start. And you shall know that I am the Lord.	11 Multiplicaré en vosotros hombres y bestias, y serán numerosos y fecundos. Os repoblaré como antaño, mejoraré vuestra condición precedente, y sabréis que yo soy Yahveh.
12 And I will lead men over you, over my people Israel, and they will possess you as an inheritance. And you shall be to them as an inheritance. And you shall no longer be permitted to be without them.	12 Haré que circulen por vosotros los hombres, mi pueblo Israel. Tomarán posesión de ti, y tu serás su heredad, y no volverás a privarles de sus hijos.
13 Thus says the Lord God: Because they are saying about you, ‘You are a woman who devours men, and you are strangling your own nation,’	13 Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Porque se ha dicho de ti que devoras a los hombres y que has privado a tu nación de hijos,
14 because of this, you shall no longer consume men, and you shall no longer harm your own nation, says the Lord God.	14 por eso, ya no devorarás más hombres, ni volverás a privar de hijos a tu nación, oráculo del Señor Yahveh.
15 Neither will I permit men to discover in you the shame of the Gentiles any more. And you shall never again bear the reproach of the peoples. And you shall not send your people away any more, says the Lord God.”	15 No consentiré que vuelvas a oír el ultraje de las naciones, no sufrirás más los insultos de los pueblos, y no volverás a privar de hijos a tu nación, oráculo del Señor Yahveh.
16 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:	16 La palabra de Yahveh me fue dirigida en estos términos:
17 “Son of man, the house of Israel lived on their own soil, and they defiled it with their ways and with their intentions. Their way, in my sight, became like the uncleanness of a menstruous woman.	17 Hijo de hombre, los de la casa de Israel que habitaban en su tierra, la contaminaron con su conducta y sus obras; como la impureza de una menstruante era su conducta ante mí.
18 And so I poured out my indignation upon them, because of the blood which they shed upon the land, and because they defiled it with their idols.	18 Entonces yo derramé mi furor sobre ellos, por la sangre que habían vertido en su tierra y por las basuras con las que la habían contaminado.
19 And I dispersed them among the Gentiles, and they have been scattered among the lands. I have judged them according to their ways and their plans.	19 Los dispersé entre las naciones y fueron esparcidos por los países. Los juzgué según su conducta y sus obras.
20 And when they walked among the Gentiles, to whom they had entered, they defiled my holy name, though it was being said about them: ‘This is the people of the Lord,’ and ‘They went forth from his land.’	20 Y en las naciones donde llegaron, profanaron mi santo nombre, haciendo que se dijera a propósito de ellos: «Son el pueblo de Yahveh, y han tenido que salir de su tierra».
21 But I have spared my holy name, which the house of Israel has defiled among the Gentiles, to whom they entered.	21 Pero yo he tenido consideración a mi santo nombre que la casa de Israel profanó entre las naciones adonde había ido.
22 For this reason, you shall say to the house of Israel: Thus says the Lord God: I will act, not for your sake, O house of Israel, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have defiled among the Gentiles, to whom you entered.	22 Por eso, di a la casa de Israel: Así dice el Señor Yahveh: No hago esto por consideración a vosotros, casa de Israel, sino por mi santo nombre, que vosotros habéis profanado entre las naciones adonde fuisteis.
23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was defiled among the Gentiles, which you have defiled in their midst. So may the Gentiles know that I am the Lord, says the Lord of hosts, when I will have been sanctified in you, before their eyes.	23 Yo santificaré mi gran nombre profanado entre las naciones, profanado allí por vosotros. Y las naciones sabrán que yo soy Yahveh - oráculo del Señor Yahveh - cuando yo, por medio de vosotros, manifieste mi santidad a la vista de ellos.
24 Certainly, I will take you away from the Gentiles, and I will gather you together from all the lands, and I will lead you into your own land.	24 Os tomaré de entre las naciones, os recogeré de todos los países y os llevaré a vuestro suelo.
25 And I will pour clean water over you, and you shall be cleansed from all your filth, and I will cleanse you from all your idols.	25 Os rociaré con agua pura y quedaréis purificados; de todas vuestras impurezas y de todas vuestras basuras os purificaré.
26 And I will give to you a new heart, and I will place in you a new spirit. And I will take away the heart of stone from your body, and I will give to you a heart of flesh.	26 Y os daré un corazón nuevo, infundiré en vosotros un espíritu nuevo, quitaré de vuestra carne el corazón de piedra y os daré un corazón de carne.
27 And I will place my Spirit in your midst. And I will act so that you may walk in my precepts and keep my judgments, and so that you may fulfill them.	27 Infundiré mi espíritu en vosotros y haré que os conduzcáis según mis preceptos y observéis y practiquéis mis normas.
28 And you shall live in the land that I gave to your fathers. And you shall be my people, and I will be your God.	28 Habitaréis la tierra que yo di a vuestros padres. Vosotros seréis mi pueblo y yo seré vustro Dios.
29 And I will save you from all your filth. And I will call for grain, and I will multiply it, and I will not impose a famine upon you.	29 Os salvaré de todas vuestras impurezas, llamaré al trigo y lo multiplicaré y no os someteré más al hambre.
30 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree and the produce of the field, so that you may no longer bear the disgrace of famine among the nations.	30 Multiplicaré los frutos de los árboles y los productos de los campos, para que no sufráis más el oprobio del hambre entre las naciones.
31 And you shall remember your very wicked ways and your intentions, which were not good. And you will be displeased by your own iniquities and your own crimes.	31 Entonces os acordaréis de vuestra mala conducta y de vuestras acciones que no eran buenas, y sentiréis asco de vosotros mismos por vuestras culpas y vuestras abominaciones.
32 It is not for your sakes that I will act, says the Lord God; let this be known to you. Be confounded and ashamed over your own ways, O house of Israel.	32 No hago esto por vosotros - oráculo del Señor Yahveh - sabedlo bien. Avergonzaos y confundíos de vuestra conducta, casa de Israel.
33 Thus says the Lord God: In the day when I will have cleansed you from all your iniquities, and when I will have caused the cities to be inhabited, and when I will have restored the ruinous places,	33 Así dice el Señor Yahveh: El día que yo os purifique de todas vuestras culpas, repoblaré las ciudades y las ruinas serán reconstruidas;
34 and when the deserted land will have been cultivated, which previously was desolate to the eyes of all who passed by,	34 la tierra devastada será cultivada, después de haber sido una desolación a los ojos de todos los transeúntes.
35 then they shall say: ‘This uncultivated land has become a garden of delight, and the cities, which were deserted and destitute and overturned, have been settled and fortified.’	35 Y se dirá: «Esta tierra, hasta ahora devastada, se ha hecho como jardín de Edén, y las ciudades en ruinas, devastadas y demolidas, están de nuevo fortificadas y habitadas».
36 And the Gentiles, those who remain around you, shall know that I, the Lord, have built up what was destroyed, and have planted what was uncultivated. I, the Lord, have spoken and acted.	36 Y las naciones que quedan a vuestro alrededor sabrán que yo, Yahveh, he reconstruido lo que estaba demolido y he replantado lo que estaba devastado. Yo, Yahveh, lo digo y lo hago.
37 Thus says the Lord God: Even in this time, the house of Israel shall find me, so that I may act for them. I will multiply them like a flock of men,	37 Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Me dejaré todavía buscar por la casa de Israel, para hacer por ellos esto: multiplicarlos como un rebaño humano,
38 like a holy flock, like the flock of Jerusalem in her solemnities. So shall the deserted cities be filled with flocks of men. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”	38 como un rebaño de reses consagradas, como el rebaño reunido en Jerusalén, en las fiestas solemnes. Así se llenarán de un rebaño humano vuestras ciudades en ruinas, y se sabrá que yo soy Yahveh.
