Jeremiah 30

1 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying:	1 Palabra que fue dirigida a Jeremías de parte de Yahveh:
2 “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, saying: You shall write in a book all the words that I have spoken to you.	2 Así dice Yahveh el Dios de Israel: Escríbete todas las palabras que te he hablado en un libro.
3 For behold, the days are approaching, says the Lord, when I will convert the turning away of my people, Israel and Judah, says the Lord. And I will return them to the land which I gave to their fathers, and they will possess it.”	3 Pues he aquí que vienen días - oráculo de Yahveh - en que haré tornar a los cautivos de mi pueblo Israel (y de Judá) - dice Yahveh - y les haré volver a la tierra que di a sus padres en posesión.
4 And these are the words which the Lord has spoken to Israel and to Judah:	4 Estas son las palabras que dirigió Yahveh a Israel (y a Judá).
5 For thus says the Lord: ‘We have heard a voice of terror. There is dread, and there is no peace.’	5 Así dice Yahveh: Voces estremecedoras oímos: ¡Pánico, y no paz!
6 Inquire and see, does a male give birth? Then why have I seen every man with his hand on his lower back, like a woman bearing a child? And why have all of their faces turned pale?	6 Id a preguntar, y ved si pare el macho. Entonces ¿por qué he visto a todo varón con las manos en las caderas, como la que da a luz, y todas las caras se han vuelto amarillas?
7 Woe! For that day is great, and there is nothing like it. For it is the time of tribulation for Jacob, but he will be saved from it.	7 ¡Ay! porque grande es aquel día, sin semejante, y tiempo de angustia es para Jacob; pero de ella quedará salvo.
8 And this shall be in that day, says the Lord of hosts: I will crush his yoke from your neck, and I will break open his bands. And strangers will no longer rule over him.	8 (Acontecerá aquel día - oráculo de Yahveh Sebaot - que romperé el yugo de sobre tu cerviz y tus coyundas arrancaré, y no te servirán más los extranjeros,
9 Instead, they will serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.	9 sino que Israel y Judá servirán a Yahveh su Dios y a David su rey, que yo les suscitaré.)
10 Therefore, O my servant Jacob, you should not be afraid, says the Lord, and you should not be frightened, O Israel. For behold, I will save you from a far away land, and your offspring from the land of their captivity. And Jacob will return and have rest, and he shall flow with every good thing. And there will be no one for him to dread.	10 Pero tú no temas, siervo mío Jacob - oráculo de Yahveh - ni desmayes, Israel, pues mira que yo acudo a salvarte desde lejos y tu linaje del país de su cautiverio; volverá Jacob, se sosegará y estará tranquilo, y no habrá quien le inquiete,
11 For I am with you, says the Lord, so that I may save you. For I will bring about the consummation of all the nations, among which I have scattered you. But I will not bring about your consummation. Instead, I will chastise you in judgment, so that you will not seem innocent to yourself.”	11 pues contigo estoy yo - oráculo de Yahveh - para salvarte: pues acabaré con todas las naciones entre las cuales te dispersé. pero contigo no acabaré; aunque sí te corregiré como conviene, ya que impune no te dejaré.
12 For thus says the Lord: “Your fracture is incurable; your wound is very serious.	12 Porque así dice Yahveh: Irremediable es tu quebranto, incurable tu herida.
13 There is no one who may judge your judgment, so as to bandage it; there is no useful treatment for you.	13 Estás desahuciado; para una herida hay cura, para ti no hay remedio.
14 All your lovers have forgotten you, and they will not seek you. For I have wounded you with the strike of an enemy, with a cruel chastisement. Your sins have become hardened because of the multitude of your iniquities.	14 Todos tus amantes te olvidaron, por tu salud no preguntaron. Porque con herida de enemigo te herí, castigo de hombre cruel, (por tu gran culpa, porque son enormes tus pecados).
15 Why do you cry out over your affliction? Your pain is incurable. I have done these things to you because of the multitude of your iniquity and because of your hardened sins.	15 ¿Por qué te quejas de tu quebranto? Irremediable es tu sufrimiento; por tu gran culpa, por ser enormes tus pecados te he hecho esto.
16 Because of this, all those who devour you, will be devoured. And all your enemies will be led into captivity. And those who devastate you, will be devastated. And all those who prey upon you, I will offer as a prey.	16 No obstante todos los que te devoran serán devorados, y todos tus opresores, todos ellos, irán al cautiverio; serán tus despojadores despojados, y a todos tus saqueadores los entregaré al saqueo.
17 For I will close up your scar, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord. For they have called you an outcast, O Zion: ‘This is she who has no one asking for her.’ ”	17 Sí; haré que tengas alivio, de tus llagas te curaré - oráculo de Yahveh -. Porque «La Repudiada» te llamaron. «Sión de la que nadie se preocupa».
18 Thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will turn back the turning away of the tabernacles of Jacob, and I will take pity on his roofs. And the city will be built up in her heights, and the temple will be founded according to its order.	18 Así dice Yahveh: He aquí que yo hago volver a los cautivos de las tiendas de Jacob y de sus mansiones me apiadaré; será reedificada la ciudad sobre su montículo de ruinas y el alcázar tal como era será restablecido.
19 And praise will go forth from them, with the voice of those who play. And I will multiply them, and they will not be lessened. And I will glorify them, and they will not be weakened.	19 Y saldrá de entre ellos loor y voz de gente alegre; los multiplicaré y no serán pocos, los honraré y no serán menguados,
20 And their sons will be as in the beginning. And their assembly will remain in my sight. And I will visit against all those who trouble them.	20 sino que serán sus hijos como antes, su comunidad ante mí estará en pie, y yo visitaré a todos sus opresores.
21 And their ruler will one of their own. And their prince will be led forward from their midst. And I will draw him near, and he will cling to me. For who is the one who applies his heart, so that he may draw near to me, says the Lord?	21 Será su soberano uno de ellos, su jefe de entre ellos saldrá, y le haré acercarse y él llegará hasta mí, porque ¿quién es el que se jugaría la vida por llegarse hasta mí? - oráculo de Yahveh -.
22 And you shall be my people, and I will be your God.”	22 Y vosotros seréis mi pueblo, y yo seré vuestro Dios.
23 Behold the whirlwind of the Lord, his fury going forth, a destroying storm! It will rest upon the head of the impious.	23 Mirad que una tormenta de Yahveh ha estallado, un torbellino remolinea: sobre la cabeza de los malos descarga.
24 The Lord will not turn back the wrath of his indignation, until he has accomplished and completed the plan of his heart. In the last days, you shall understand these things.	24 No ha de apaciguarse el ardor de la ira de Yahveh hasta que la ejecute, y realice los designios de su corazón. En días futuros os percataréis de ello.
