1 Unto the end. A Psalm of David. How long, O Lord? Will you forget me until the end? How long will you turn your face away from me?	1 (Per la fine. Salmo di David). Fino a quando, o Signore? Mi dimenticherai per sempre? Fino a quando volgerai da me la tua faccia?
2 How long can I take counsel in my soul, sorrowing in my heart throughout the day?	2 Fino a quando avrò la preoccupazione nell'anima mia e quotidiani dolori nel mio cuore?
3 How long will my enemy be exalted over me?	3 Fino a quando avrà il sopravvento su di me il tuo nemico?
4 Look upon me and listen to me, O Lord my God. Enlighten my eyes, lest I fall asleep forever in death,	4 Volgi a me il tuo sguardo ed esaudiscimi, o Signore, mio Dio. Illumina gli occhi miei, affinchè io non m'addormenti mai nella morte,
5 lest at any time my enemy may say, “I have prevailed against him.” Those who trouble me will exult, if I have been disturbed.	5 Affinchè il mio nemico non dica mai: « L'ho vinto! » I miei avversari esulteranno s'io vacillo;
6 But I have hoped in your mercy. My heart will exult in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, who assigns good things to me. And I will sing psalms to the name of the Lord Most High.	6 Ma io ho riposta ogni mia speranza nella tua grazia. Nella salvezza che mi darai esulterà il mio cuore, canterò al Signore mio benefattore, e innalzerò inni di lode al nome dell'Altissimo Signore.
