1 And king David spoke to the entire assembly: “My son Solomon, the one God has chosen, is still a tender boy. And yet the work is great, for a habitation is being prepared, not for man, but for God.	1 Il re Davide disse a tutta l'assemblea: "Salomone mio figlio, il solo che Dio ha scelto, è ancora giovane e debole, mentre l'impresa è grandiosa, perché la Dimora non è destinata a un uomo ma al Signore Dio.
2 Now with all my ability, I have prepared the expenses for the house of my God: gold for items of gold, and silver for those of silver, brass for those of brass, iron for those of iron, and wood for those of wood, and stones of onyx, and stones like alabaster, and stones of diverse colors, and every kind of precious stone, and marble from Paros in great abundance.	2 Secondo tutta la mia possibilità ho fatto preparativi per il tempio del mio Dio; ho preparato oro su oro, argento su argento, bronzo su bronzo, ferro su ferro, legname su legname, ònici, brillanti, topàzi, pietre di vario valore e pietre preziose e marmo bianco in quantità.
3 And in addition to these things that I have offered into the house of my God, I give, from my own belongings, gold and silver for the temple of my God, aside from those things that I have prepared for the holy shrine:	3 Inoltre, per il mio amore per la casa del mio Dio, quanto possiedo in oro e in argento dò per il tempio del mio Dio, oltre quanto ho preparato per il santuario:

5 and gold for wherever there is need of gold, and silver for wherever there is need of silver, for the works to be done by the hands of the artisans. 7 and gave, for the works of the house of the Lord, five thousand talents and ten thousand pieces of gold, ten thousand talents of silver, and eighteen thousand talents of brass, and also one hundred thousand talents of iron.	7 Essi diedero per l'opera del tempio cinquemila talenti d'oro, diecimila darìci, diecimila talenti d'argento, diciottomila talenti di bronzo e centomila talenti di ferro.
8 And whoever found precious stones among their belongings gave them to the treasuries of the house of the Lord, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.	8 Quanti si ritrovarono pietre preziose le diedero a Iechièl il Ghersonita, perché fossero depositate nel tesoro del tempio.
9 And the people rejoiced, since they were promising their votive offerings willingly. For they were offering these to the Lord with all their heart. 10 And he blessed the Lord before the entire multitude, and he said: “Blessed are you, O Lord God of Israel, our Father from eternity to eternity.	10 Davide benedisse il Signore davanti a tutta l'assemblea. Davide disse: "Sii benedetto, Signore Dio di Israele, nostro padre, ora e sempre.
11 Yours, O Lord, is magnificence and power and glory, and also victory; and to you is praise. For all the things that are in heaven and on earth are yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are above all rulers.	11 Tua, Signore, è la grandezza, la potenza, la gloria, lo splendore e la maestà, perché tutto, nei cieli e sulla terra, è tuo. Signore, tuo è il regno; tu ti innalzi sovrano su ogni cosa.
12 Yours is wealth, and yours is glory. You have dominion over all things. In your hand is virtue and power. In your hand is greatness and authority over all things.	12 Da te provengono la ricchezza e la gloria; tu domini tutto; nella tua mano c'è forza e potenza; dalla tua mano ogni grandezza e potere.
13 Now therefore, we confess to you, our God, and we praise your famous name.	13 Ora, nostro Dio, ti ringraziamo e lodiamo il tuo nome glorioso.
14 Who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to promise all these things to you? All is yours. And so the things that we received from your hand, we have given to you.	14 E chi sono io e chi è il mio popolo, per essere in grado di offrirti tutto questo spontaneamente? 15 For we are sojourners and new arrivals before you, as all our fathers were. Our days upon the earth are like a shadow, and there is no delay.	15 Noi siamo stranieri davanti a te e pellegrini come tutti i nostri padri. Come un'ombra sono i nostri giorni sulla terra e non c'è speranza.
16 O Lord our God, all this abundance, which we have prepared so that a house may be built to your holy name, is from your hand, and all things are yours.	16 Signore nostro Dio, quanto noi abbiamo preparato per costruire una casa al tuo santo nome proviene da te, è tutto tuo.
17 I know, my God, that you test hearts, and that you love simplicity. Therefore, in the simplicity of my heart, I also have offered all these things joyfully. And I have seen, with immense gladness, your people, who have been found here, offering their donations to you.	17 So, mio Dio, che tu provi i cuori e ti compiaci della rettitudine. 18 O Lord, the God of our fathers Abraham and Isaac and Israel, preserve unto eternity this desire of their heart, and let this purpose remain forever, for the worship of you.	18 Signore, Dio di Abramo, di Isacco e di Israele, nostri padri, custodisci questo sentimento per sempre nell'intimo del cuore del tuo popolo. Dirigi i loro cuori verso di te.
19 Also, I give to my son Solomon a perfect heart, so that he may keep your commandments, your testimonies, and your ceremonies, and so that he may accomplish all things, and may build the temple, for which I have prepared the expenses.”	19 A Salomone mio figlio concedi un cuore sincero perché custodisca i tuoi comandi, le tue disposizioni e i tuoi decreti, perché eseguisca tutto ciò e costruisca l'edificio, per il quale io ho eseguito i preparativi".
20 Then David instructed the entire assembly: “Bless the Lord our God.” And the entire assembly blessed the Lord, the God of their fathers. And they bowed themselves, and they adored God, and next they reverenced the king.	20 Davide disse a tutta l'assemblea: "Su, benedite il Signore vostro Dio!". Tutta l'assemblea benedisse il Signore, Dio dei suoi padri; si inginocchiarono e si prostrarono davanti al Signore e al re.
21 And they immolated victims to the Lord. And they offered holocausts on the following day: one thousand bulls, one thousand rams, one thousand lambs, with their libations and with every ritual, very abundantly, for all of Israel.	21 Offrirono sacrifici al Signore e gli bruciarono olocausti il giorno dopo: mille giovenchi, mille arieti, mille agnelli con le relative libazioni, oltre numerosi sacrifici per tutto Israele.
22 And they ate and drank before the Lord on that day, with great rejoicing. And they anointed Solomon, the son of David, a second time. And they anointed him to the Lord as the ruler, and Zadok as the high priest.	22 Mangiarono e bevvero alla presenza del Signore in quel giorno con manifestazioni di grande gioia. Di nuovo proclamarono re Salomone, figlio di Davide, lo unsero, consacrando lui al Signore come capo e Zadòk come sacerdote.
23 And Solomon sat upon the throne of the Lord as king, in place of his father David, and it pleased everyone. And all of Israel obeyed him.	23 Salomone sedette sul trono del Signore come re al posto di Davide suo padre; prosperò e tutto Israele gli fu sottomesso.
24 Moreover, all the leaders, and the powerful, and all the sons of king David pledged with their hand, and they became subject to king Solomon.	24 Tutti gli ufficiali, i prodi e anche tutti i figli del re Davide si sottomisero al re Salomone.
25 Then the Lord magnified Solomon over all of Israel. And he gave to him a glorious reign, of a kind such as no one has had before him, as king of Israel.	25 Il Signore rese grande Salomone di fronte a tutto Israele e gli diede uno splendore di regno, che nessun predecessore in Israele aveva avuto.
26 Now David, the son of Jesse, reigned over all of Israel.	26 Davide, figlio di Iesse, aveva regnato su tutto Israele.
27 And the days during which he reigned over Israel were forty years. He reigned seven years in Hebron, and thirty-three years in Jerusalem.	27 La durata del suo regno su Israele era stata di quarant'anni; in Ebron aveva regnato sette anni e in Gerusalemme trentatré.
28 And he died at a good old age, full of days and wealth and glory. And his son Solomon reigned in his place.	28 Morì molto vecchio, sazio di anni, di ricchezza e di gloria. Al suo posto divenne re il figlio Salomone.
29 Now the acts of king David, from the first to the last, have been written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,	29 Le gesta del re Davide, le prime come le ultime, ecco sono descritte nei libri del veggente Samuele, nel libro del profeta Natan e nel libro del veggente Gad,
