1 Now king Solomon was reigning over all of Israel.	1 Or il re Salomone regnava sopra tutto Israele:

7 And Solomon had twelve commanders over all of Israel, who offered yearly provisions for the king and his house. 9 Bendeker, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and in Beth-shemesh, and in Elon, and in Beth-hanan;	9 Ben-Decar a Macces, e a Salebim, e aBeth-sames, e ad Elon, e a Bethanan:
10 Benhesed, in Arubboth: his was Socoh and the entire land of Hepher;	10 Ben-Hesed in Aruboth: ed egli aveva anche Socho, e tutto il paese di Epher:

15 Ahimaaz, in Naphtali, and he also had Basemath, the daughter of Solomon, in marriage;	15 Achimaas (stava) a Nephtali: ed egli pure sposò Basemath figliuola di Salomone:
16 Baana, the son of Hushai, in Asher and in Bealoth;	16 Baana figliuolo di Hasi in Aser, e in Baloth:
17 Jehoshaphat, the son of Paruah, in Issachar;	17 Giosaphath figliuolo di Pharue in Issachar:
18 Shimei, the son of Ela, in Benjamin;	18 Semei figliuolo di Eia in Benia­min:
19 Geber, the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, in the land of Sihon, king of the Amorites, and of Og, king of Bashan, over all who were in that land.	19 Gaber figliuolo di Uri nella terra di Galaad, nella ferra di Sehon re degli Amorrhei, e di Og re di Basan; ed era il solo soprintendente in tutto quel paese.
20 Judah and Israel were innumerable, like the sand of the sea in multitude: eating and drinking, and rejoicing.	20 Giuda, e Israele erano un popolo senza numero, come l'arena del mare; e mangiavano, e bevevano allegramente.
21 Now Solomon had, in his dominion, all the kingdoms, from the river to the land of the Philistines, even to the border of Egypt. And they offered gifts to him, and they served him all the days of his life.	21 E Salomone avea sotto il suo do­minio tutti i regni del paese de' Filistei, dal fiume sino alla frontiera d'Egitto. 22 And the provisions of Solomon, for each day, were thirty cor of fine wheat flour, and sixty cor of meal,	22 Or la provvisione per la tavola di Salomone era ogni dì trenta cori di fior di farinai, e sessanta cori di farina,
23 ten fattened oxen, and twenty oxen from the pastures, and one hundred rams, aside from the venison of stags, roe deer, and gazelles, and fattened poultry.	23 Dieci bovi ingrassati, e venti bovi di pastura, e cento arieti, senza la cac­ciagione di cervi, di caprioli, e di daini, e di uccellame di serbatoio.
24 For he had obtained the entire region which was beyond the river, from Tiphsah as far as Gaza, and all the kings of those regions. And he had peace on every side all around.	24 Perocché egli era signore di tutto il paese, che giace di là dal fiume, da Taplisa sino a Gaza, e di tutti i re di que' paesi: ed era in pace con tutti i confinanti all'intorno:
25 And so, Judah and Israel were living without any fear, each one under his own vine and under his own fig tree, from Dan as far as Beersheba, during all the days of Solomon.	25 Onde Israele, e Giuda viveano senza timori, ognuno all'ombra della sua vite, e del suo fico, da Dan fino a Bersabea per tutto il tempo, che regnò Salomone.
26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of chariot horses, and twelve thousand riding horses.	26 E Salomone avea quaranta mila greppie di cavalli da cocchio, e dodici mila cavalli da cavalcare.
27 And the above-stated commanders of the king nourished these. And they also offered the necessities for the table of king Solomon, with immense diligence, each in his time.	27 E gli uffiziali nominati dì sopra aveano l'incumbenza di mantenergli: ed eglino pure somministravano con gran pontualità a suo tempo tutto quello, che bisognava per la tavola di Salomone.
28 Also, they brought barley and straw for the horses and beasts of burden, to the place where the king was, just as it was appointed to them.	28 E facevano ancora portare l'orzo, e la paglia pe' cavalli, e pe' giumenti al luogo, dov' era il re, secondo l'ordine, che ad essi era stato dato.
29 And God gave wisdom to Solomon, and an exceedingly great prudence, and a spacious heart, like the sand which is on the shore of the sea.	29 Diede di più Iddio a Salomone sa­pienza, e prudenza oltre modo grande, e vastità di mente immensurabile, com è l'arena, che sta sul lido del mare.
30 And the wisdom of Solomon surpassed the wisdom of all the East, and of the Egyptians.	30 E la sapienza di Salomone supe­rava la sapienza di tutti gli Orientali, e degli Egiziani.
31 And he was wiser than all men: wiser than Ethan, the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And he was renowned in all the nations on every side.	31 Ed egli era il più sapiente di tutti gli uomini: più sapiente di Ethan Ezrahita, e di Heman, e di Chalcol, e di Dorda figliuoli di Mahol: ed egli era celebrato presso tutte le nazioni circon­vicine.
32 Solomon also spoke three thousand parables. And his verses were one thousand and five.	32 E Salomone pronunziò tre mila parabole: e le sue canzoni furono mille, e cinque.
33 And he discoursed about trees, from the cedar which is in Lebanon, to the hyssop which grows out from the wall. And he explained about beasts, and birds, and reptiles, and fish.	33 E ragionò intorno alle piante dal cedro, che sta sul Libano fino all'issopo, che spunta dalle pareti: e discorse delle bestie della terra, e degli uccelli, e degl'insetti e de' pesci.
34 And they came from all the peoples in order to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and from all the kings of the earth, who were hearing about his wisdom.	34 E venivano da tutte le genti a udire la sapienza di Salomone, emessi di tutti i regi della terra, presso i quali era sparsa la fama della sapienza di lui.
