1 The kings of the country, whom the Israelites conquered and whose territory they took, on the further, eastern side of the Jordan, from the Wadi Arnon to Mount Hermon, with the entire Arabah to the east, were asfol ows:	1 ואלה מלכי הארץ אשר הכו בני ישראל וירשו את ארצם בעבר הירדן מזרחה השמש מנחל ארנון עד הר חרמון וכל הערבה מזרחה
2 Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon, ruled from Aroer which is on the edge of the ArnonVal ey, including the bottom of the val ey, half Gilead and as far as the Jabbok, the river forming the frontier withthe Ammonites;	2 סיחון מלך האמרי היושב בחשבון משל מערוער אשר על שפת נחל ארנון ותוך הנחל וחצי הגלעד ועד יבק הנחל גבול בני עמון
3 the eastern Arabah up to the Sea of Chinneroth, and as far as the Sea of the Arabah, or Salt Sea, onthe eastern side, in the direction of Beth-Jeshimoth, and, in the south, the watered foothil s of Mount Pisgah.	3 והערבה עד ים כנרות מזרחה ועד ים הערבה ים המלח מזרחה דרך בית הישמות ומתימן תחת אשדות הפסגה
4 Og king of Bashan, one of the last of the Rephaim, who lived at Ashtaroth and Edrei,	4 וגבול עוג מלך הבשן מיתר הרפאים היושב בעשתרות ובאדרעי
5 ruled over Mount Hermon and Salecah, the whole of Bashan to the frontier of the Geshurites andMaacathites, and half Gilead to the frontier of Sihon king of Heshbon.	5 ומשל בהר חרמון ובסלכה ובכל הבשן עד גבול הגשורי והמעכתי וחצי הגלעד גבול סיחון מלך חשבון
6 Moses, servant of Yahweh, and the Israelites conquered these, and Moses, servant of Yahweh,conferred their territory on the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh.	6 משה עבד יהוה ובני ישראל הכום ויתנה משה עבד יהוה ירשה לראובני ולגדי ולחצי שבט המנשה
7 The kings of the country whom Joshua and the Israelites conquered on the nearer, western side of theJordan, from Baal-Gad in the Vale of Lebanon to Mount Halak rising towards Seir, and whose heritage Joshuadistributed to the tribes of Israel, dividing it up between them, were as follows:	7 ואלה מלכי הארץ אשר הכה יהושע ובני ישראל בעבר הירדן ימה מבעל גד בבקעת הלבנון ועד ההר החלק העלה שעירה ויתנה יהושע לשבטי ישראל ירשה כמחלקתם
8 In the highlands and the lowlands, in the Arabah and in the watered foothil s, in the desert and in theNegeb, belonging to the Hittites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites:	8 בהר ובשפלה ובערבה ובאשדות ובמדבר ובנגב החתי האמרי והכנעני הפרזי החוי והיבוסי
9 the king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai near Bethel, one;	9 מלך יריחו אחד מלך העי אשר מצד בית אל אחד

11 the king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;	11 מלך ירמות אחד מלך לכיש אחד
12 the king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;	12 מלך עגלון אחד מלך גזר אחד
13 the king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;	13 מלך דבר אחד מלך גדר אחד
14 the king of Hormah, one; the king of Arad, one;	14 מלך חרמה אחד מלך ערד אחד
15 the king of Libnah, one; the king of Adul am, one;	15 מלך לבנה אחד מלך עדלם אחד
16 the king of Makkedah, one; the king of Bethel, one;	16 מלך מקדה אחד מלך בית אל אחד
17 the king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one;	17 מלך תפוח אחד מלך חפר אחד
18 the king of Aphek, one; the king of Sharon, one;	18 מלך אפק אחד מלך לשרון אחד

22 the king of Kedesh, one; the king of Jokneam in Carmel, one;	22 מלך קדש אחד מלך יקנעם לכרמל אחד
23 the king of Dor, on the Slopes of Dor, one; the king of the nations in Galilee, one;	23 מלך דור לנפת דור אחד מלך גוים לגלגל אחד
