Jeremiah 22

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 Yahweh said this, 'Go down to the palace of the king of Judah and there say this word,	1 Questo dice Iddio: iscendi nella casa dello re di Giuda, e parlerai ivi questa parola,
2 "Listen to the word of Yahweh, king of Judah now occupying the throne of David, you, your officials andyour people who go through these gates.	2 e dirai udite la parola di Dio, re di Giuda, il quale siedi sopra la sedia di David, tu e' tuoi servi e il tuo populo, li quali entrate per queste porte.
3 Yahweh says this: Act uprightly and justly; rescue from the hands of the oppressor anyone who hasbeen wronged, do not exploit or il -treat the stranger, the orphan, the widow; shed no innocent blood in thisplace.	3 Questo dice Iddio: fate giudicio e giustizia, e liberate lo constretto per forza della mano del calunniatore; e lo forestiero e lo pupillo e la vedova non li contristate, e non li constrignete malvagiamente; e lo sangue innocente non ispargete in questo luogo.
4 For if you are scrupulous in obeying this command, then kings occupying the throne of David willcontinue to make their entry through the gates of this palace riding in chariots or on horseback, they, theirofficials and their people.	4 E se voi facendo farete (e osserverete) questa parola, sarete entrati per queste porte di questa casa sedenti della generazione di David sopra lo suo trono, e salirete li carri e li cavalli, elli e li servi e il populo loro.
5 But if you do not listen to these words, then I swear by myself, Yahweh declares, this palace shalbecome a ruin!	5 E se voi non udirete queste parole, io ho giurato in me medesimo, dice Iddio, che questa casa sarà in solitudine.
6 "Yes, this is what Yahweh says about the palace of the king of Judah: You are like Gilead to me, like apeak of Lebanon. Al the same, I wil reduce you to a desert, to uninhabited towns.	6 Però che questo dice Iddio sopra la casa dello re di Giuda: o Galaad, tu se' a me capo del Libano; se io non ti porrò in solitudine, le cittadi inabitabili.
7 I dedicate men to destroy you, each man with his weapons; they will cut down your finest cedars andthrow them on the fire.	7 E santificherò sopra te l' omicidiario e le sue armi; e succideranno lo tuo cedro eletto, e gitterannolo nel fuoco.
8 "And when many nations pass this city, they wil say to one another: Why has Yahweh treated thisgreat city like this?	8 E passeranno molte genti per questa città, e dirà ciascuno al prossimo suo: per che ha fatto lo Signore così a questa grande terra?
9 And the answer wil be: Because they abandoned the covenant of Yahweh their God to worship othergods and serve them." '	9 E risponderanno: però che hanno abbandonato lo patto del suo Signore Iddio, e adorarono gli altri iddii, e a loro servirono.
10 Do not weep for the man who is dead, do not raise the dirge for him. Weep rather for the one who hasgone away, since he wil never come back, never see his native land again.	10 Non piagnete lo morto, e non piagnete sopra lui con pianto; piagnete quello lo quale esce, per che non tornerà più, nè vederà la terra della sua nativitade.
11 For this is what Yahweh has said about Shallum son of Josiah, king of Judah, who succeeded Josiahhis father and was forced to leave this place, 'He wil never come back to it	11 Però che questo dice Iddio a Sello, figliuolo di Iosia, re di Giuda, lo quale regnò per Iosia suo padre, il quale è uscito di questo luogo: e' non tornerà più;
12 but wil die in the place to which he has been taken captive; and he wil never see this country again.	12 ma [nel]lo luogo al quale io lo menai, morrà ivi, e questa terra non vederà più.
13 'Disaster for the man who builds his house without uprightness, his upstairs rooms without fairjudgement, who makes his fel ow-man work for nothing, without paying him his wages,	13 Guai a colui che edifica la casa sua nella ingiustizia, e li suoi cenacoli (cioè lo luogo da mangiare o da cenare) non in giudicio; constrigne lo suo suo amico indarno, e la sua mercede non li renderà.
14 who says, "I shal build myself a spacious palace with airy upstairs rooms," who makes windows in it,panels it with cedar, and paints it vermilion.	14 Quello che dice: io mi edificherò la casa lata, e li cenacoli spaziosi; il quale apre le fenestre a sè, e fa i lacciuoli di cedro, e dipigneli di cinabro.
15 Are you more of a king because of your passion for cedar? Did your father go hungry or thirsty? Buthe did what is just and upright, so al went wel for him.	15 O regnerai, per ciò che ti adornì di cedro? lo tuo padre non mangiò elli, e bevve, e fece giudicio e giustizia, allora quando avea bene?
16 He used to examine the cases of poor and needy, then al went wel . Is not that what it means to knowme? Yahweh demands.	16 Visitò lo pianto del povero e del bisognoso in suo bene; or non per ciò che conobbe me? dice Iddio.
17 You on the other hand have eyes and heart for nothing but your own interests, for shedding innocentblood and perpetrating violence and oppression.'	17 Lo tuo cuore e li tuoi occhii sempre intenti all' avarizia, e al sangue innocente a spargerlo, alla calunnia e al corso della mala operazione.
18 That is why Yahweh says this about Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah: 'No lamenting for him,"My poor brother! My poor sister!" No lamenting for him, "His poor lordship! His poor majesty!"	18 Però questo dice Iddio a Ioachimo, figliuolo di Iosia, re di Giuda: non piagneranno lui oimè gentile!
19 He wil have a donkey's funeral -- dragged away and thrown out of the gates of Jerusalem.'	19 Sarà seppellito in sepoltura di asino, putrefatto e gittato fuori delle porte di Ierusalem.
20 'Climb the Lebanon range and shriek, raise your voice in Bashan, shriek from the Abarim, for al yourlovers have been ruined!	20 Sali nel Libano, e grida; e dà voce a Basan (cioè una contrada), e grida alli (viandanti e) passanti, per ciò che contriti sono tutti li tuoi amatori.
21 I spoke to you in your prosperity, but you said, "I wil not listen!" From your youth this has been howyou behaved, refusing to listen to my voice.	21 Io hoe parlato a te nella tua abbondanza, e dicesti io non udirò; questa è la via tua della tua giovinezza, per che non udisti la mia voce.
22 The wind will shepherd al your shepherds away and your lovers wil go into captivity. Then you wilblush deep with shame at the thought of al your wickedness.	22 Lo vento pascerà tutti li tuoi pastori, e li tuoi amatori anderanno in prigione; e allora sarai confusa e vergognera'ti di ogni malizia [tua].
23 You who have made the Lebanon your home and made your nest among the cedars, how you wilgroan when anguish overtakes you, pangs like those of a woman in labour!	23 La quale siedi nel Libano, e fai nidi [nei cedri], come piagnesti, conciosia cosa che ti venissono li dolori, come li dolori di quella che partorisce?
24 'As I live, Yahweh declares, even if Coniah son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, were the signet ring onmy right hand, I would stil wrench you off!	24 Io vivo, dice Iddio; se Ieconia, figliuolo di Ioachimo, re di Giuda, è stato quasi come anello nella mia mano ritta, io lo torrò indi.
25 I shal hand you over to those determined to kill you, to those you dread, to Nebuchadnezzar king ofBabylon, to the Chaldaeans.	25 E darò te nelle mani de' (Caldei) cercanti l'anima tua, e in mano di quelli la cui faccia tu temi, e in mano di Nabucodonosor re di Babilonia, [e in mano de' Caldei].
26 I shal hurl you and the mother who bore you into another country; you were not born there but youwil both die there.	26 E metterò te, e la tua madre la quale ingenerò te, nella terra altrui nella quale voi non siete nati, e ivi morirete.
27 They wil not return to the country to which they desperately long to return.'	27 Nella terra, alla quale egli levano l'anima sua acciò che tornino là, e' non vi ritorneranno.
28 Is he a shoddy broken pot, this man Coniah, a crock that no one wants? Why are he and his offspringejected, hurled into a country they know nothing of?	28 Questo Ieconia non è come vaso fittizio e sgretolato? or non è vaso sanza ogni voluttà? per che sono gittati, egli e lo suo seme, e gittati nella terra la quale egli ignorarono?
29 O land, land, land, listen to the word of Yahweh!	29 O terra, terra, terra, odi la parola di Dio.
30 Yahweh says this, 'List this man as: Childless; a man who made a failure of his life, since none of hisoffspring wil succeed in occupying the throne of David, or ruling in Judah again.'	30 Questo dice Iddio: scrivi questo uomo sterile, il quale non averà ventura nella vita sua; e non sarà uomo del suo seme, il quale segga sopra la sedia di David, e non averà più signoria [in] Giuda.
