Isaiah 43

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 And now, thus says Yahweh, he who created you, Jacob, who formed you, Israel: Do not be afraid, for Ihave redeemed you; I have cal ed you by your name, you are mine.	1 E ora questo dice lo Signore Iddio, il quale creò te, Iacob, e formò te, Israel: non temere, però ch' io t'ho ricomperato, e chiamai te per lo tuo nome: tu se' lo mio servo.
2 Should you pass through the waters, I shall be with you; or through rivers, they will not swal ow you up.Should you walk through fire, you wil not suffer, and the flame wil not burn you.	2 Quando passerai per le acque (cioè per le tribulazioni), io sarò teco, e li fiumi non ti occuperanno; e se tu anderai nel fuoco, non arderai, e la fiamma non arderà te.
3 For I am Yahweh, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour. I have given Egypt for your ransom,Cush and Seba in exchange for you.	3 Però ch' io sono lo tuo Signore Iddio, santo d' Israel, tuo salvatore; io diedi lo tuo aiuto Egitto, ed Etiopia e Saba per te.
4 Since I regard you as precious, since you are honoured and I love you, I therefore give people inexchange for you, and nations in return for your life.	4 Poi che sei stato convenevole a' miei occhi e glorioso, io amai te, e darò per te li uomini, e li populi per l'anima tua.
5 Do not be afraid, for I am with you. I shal bring your offspring from the east, and gather you from thewest.	5 Non temere, però ch' io sono teco; io menerò lo tuo seme d'oriente insino a occidente.
6 To the north I shal say, 'Give them up!' and to the south, 'Do not hold them back!' Bring back my sonsfrom far away, and my daughters from the remotest part of the earth,	6 Io dirò ad aquilone, che dia; e ad austro, che non faccia niente di vento; portami li miei figliuoli da lunga, e le mie figliuole dalle estreme parti della terra.
7 everyone who bears my name, whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed, whom I havemade.	7 E io creai nella mia gloria ogni uomo il quale chiama lo mio nome; io lo formai, e fecilo.
8 Bring forward the people that is blind, yet has eyes, that is deaf and yet has ears.	8 Mena fuori lo popolo cieco, e che hae occhi; lo sordo, e non gli mancano gli orecchi.
9 Let al the nations assemble, let the peoples gather here! Which of them has proclaimed this andrevealed things to us in the past? Let them bring their witnesses to justify themselves, let others hear and say, 'Itis true.'	9 Tutte le genti sono radunate insieme e le tribù (cioè le schiatte) si sono raccolte; quale è tra voi che annuncii questo, e che farà udire a noi quelle cose che furono in prima? Diano li loro testimonii, e siano giustificati, e odano, e dicano: veramente.
10 You yourselves are my witnesses, declares Yahweh, and the servant whom I have chosen, so thatyou may know and believe me and understand that it is I. No god was formed before me, nor wil be after me.	10 Voi siete testimonii [a me], dice lo Signore, e mio servo, il quale elessi, acciò che voi sappiate e intendiate e crediate che io sono Iddio. Innanzi a me non è alcuno Iddio formato, e dopo a me non verrà più.
11 I, I am Yahweh, and there is no other Saviour but me.	11 Io sono lo Signore, e senza me non è alcuno salvatore.
12 I have revealed, have saved, and have proclaimed, not some foreigner among you. You are mywitnesses, declares Yahweh, I am God,	12 Io annunciai, e salvai; e fecilo udire, e non fu in voi alcuno straniero; voi siete testimonii a me, dice lo Signore, e io Iddio.
13 yes, from eternity I am. No one can deliver from my hand; when I act, who can thwart me?	13 Dal principio io medesimo sono, e non è persona che della mano mia possa scampare; e io adoperrò; e chi sarà chi tolga quello (che io adoperrò)?
14 Thus says Yahweh, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, Ishall knock down al the prison bars, and the Chaldaeans' shouts of joy wil change to lamentations.	14 Questo dice lo Signore, santo di Israel, vostro ricompratore: per vostra cagione (cioè per voi salvare) mandai in Babilonia, e spezzai li chiavistelli, e li Caldei i quali avevano la gloria nelle loro navi..
15 I am Yahweh, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your king.	15 Io sono lo vostro Iddio santo, che creò Israel; e io sono lo vostro re.
16 Thus says Yahweh, who made a way through the sea, a path in the raging waters,	16 Questo dice lo Signore, il quale ci diede la via nel mare, e diede lo sentiere nelli fiumi dell' acque correnti.
17 who led out chariot and horse together with an army of picked troops: they lay down never to riseagain, they were snuffed out, put out like a wick.	17 lo quale menò lo carro e lo cavallo, e la compagnia e l'uomo robusto (e forte): tutti dormirono insieme (cioè insieme morirono), e non si rilevaranno; e furono spezzati e spenti, come lo lino.
18 No need to remember past events, no need to think about what was done before.	18 Non vi ricordi delle prime cose, e le antiche non vogliate riguardare.
19 Look, I am doing something new, now it emerges; can you not see it? Yes, I am making a road in thedesert and rivers in wastelands.	19 Ed ecco che io foe ora le cose nuove, c ora nasceranno (e averanno principio), e voi conoscerete (e vedrete) quelle; io porrò la via nel deserto, ? dove non sarà via porrò i fiumi.
20 The wild animals wil honour me, the jackals and the ostriches, for bestowing water in the desert andrivers on the wastelands for my people, my chosen one, to drink.	20 La bestia del campo darà gloria a me, e li dragoni e li struzzoli; però che puosi le acque nel deserto, e li fiumi dove non era via, acciò ch' io dessi beveraggio al mio populo e al mio eletto.
21 The people I have shaped for myself wil broadcast my praises.	21 Io formai a me questo populo; egli narrerà (e dirà) la mia laude.
22 But, Jacob, you have not invoked me; no, Israel, you have grown weary of me.	22 O Iacob, tu non chiamasti me; e tu, Israel, non facesti per me.
23 You have not brought me lambs as your burnt offerings and have not honoured me with yoursacrifices. I have not subjected you to cereal offering, I have not wearied you by demanding incense.	23 Tu non offeristi a me lo montone del tuo sacrificio; non desti gloria a me; io non ti feci servire nell' offerta, e non ti diedi fatica nello incenso.
24 You have not bought expensive reed for me or sated me with the fat of your sacrifices. Instead byyour sins you have trected me like a slave, you have wearied me with your crimes,	24 Tu non comperasti a me lo calamo (aromatico) per argento, e non inebriasti me (del mangiare) del grasso del tuo sacrificio. Ma tu mi facesti servire ne' tuoi peccati, e dèsti a me fatica nelle tue malvagitadi.
25 I, I it is who blot out your acts of revolt for my own sake and shal not cal your sins to mind.	25 Io sono colui il quale spengo le malvagitadi tue per me, e non averò memoria delli tuoi peccati.
26 Remind me, and we will judge this together; state your own case and justify yourself.	26 Riduci me in memoria, e facciamo insieme lo giudicio; narra e di' se tu hai alcuna cosa acciò che tu si giustificato.
27 Your first ancestor sinned, your interpreters revolted against me.	27 Lo tuo primo padre peccoe, e li tuoi interpreti (cioè li dottori) hanno prevaricato contro a me.
28 That is why I deposed the chief men of my sanctuary, why I put Jacob under the curse of destructionand subjected Israel to insult.	28 E contaminai li santi prìncipi (cioè li prelati), e diedi a morte Iacob, e Israel puosi in biastema.
