1 [Psalm Of David When he was in the desert of Judah] God, you are my God, I pine for you; my heartthirsts for you, my body longs for you, as a land parched, dreary and waterless.	1 In fine, salmo di David.
2 Thus I have gazed on you in the sanctuary, seeing your power and your glory.	2 Esaudi, Iddio, la mia orazione, quando ti priego; dal timore del nemico libera l' anima mia.
3 Better your faithful love than life itself; my lips wil praise you.	3 Me defendesti dal convento de' malignanti; dalla moltitudine delli iniqui operanti.
4 Thus I will bless you al my life, in your name lift up my hands.	4 Perchè aguzzorono loro lingue, come coltello; tesero l'arco, come cosa amara,
5 Al my longings fulfil ed as with fat and rich foods, a song of joy on my lips and praise in my mouth.	5 per che da nascosto sagittassero l' immaculato.
6 On my bed when I think of you, I muse on you in the watches of the night,	6 Sagitteranno quello incontanente, e non temeranno; a sè hanno fermato il parlare iniquo. Raccontorono di nascondere li lacciuoli; dissero: chi li vederà?
7 for you have always been my help; in the shadow of your wings I rejoice;	7 Ricercorono le iniquità; vennero meno nel loro cercare. Ascenda l'uomo all' alto cuore;
8 my heart clings to you, your right hand supports me.	8 e sarà esaltato Iddio.Le sagitte de' piccolini sono fatte loro piaghe;
9 May those who are hounding me to death go down to the depths of the earth,	9 e contra loro sono firmate le loro lingue. Conturboronsi tutti che li vedevano,
10 given over to the blade of the sword, and left as food for jackals.	10 e tutto uomo temette. E raccontorono le opere di Dio; e' suoi fatti intesero.
11 Then the king shall rejoice in God, al who swear by him shal gain recognition, for the mouths of liarsshall be silenced.	11 Rallegrarassi il giusto nel Signore, e in lui sperarà; e saranno laudati li dritti di cuore.
