1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] Rescue me, Yahweh, from evil men, protect me from violentmen,	1 Signore, a te ho clamato, esaudi; quando a te clamerò, intendi alla voce mia.
2 whose heart is bent on malice, day after day they harbour strife;	2 Dirizzasi la orazione mia come incenso nel conspetto tuo; la elevazione delle mani mie è sacrificio vespertino.
3 their tongues as barbed as a serpent's, viper's venom behind their lips.Pause	3 Poni, Signore, guardia alla bocca mia, e la porta della circostanza a' labbri miei.
4 Keep me, Yahweh, from the clutches of the wicked, protect me from violent men, who are bent onmaking me stumble,laying out snares where I walk,	4 Non declinare il cuore mio nelle parole di malizia, ad escusare la escusazione ne' peccati. Non comunicherò con li uomini operanti la iniquità, e con loro eletti.
5 in their arrogance hiding pitfal and nooseto trap me as I pass.Pause	5 Castigarammi il giusto nella misericordia, e riprenderammi; ma l'olio del peccatore non ungerà il capo mio. È ancora la orazione mia nelle loro bone piacevolezze;
6 I said to Yahweh, 'You are my God.' Listen, Yahweh, to the sound of my prayer.	6 sono assorbiti li loro giùdici, alligati alla pietra. Udiranno le mie parole per che hanno possuto;

8 Yahweh, do not grant the wicked their wishes, do not let their plots succeed.Pause Do not let myattackers	8 Per che a te, Signore, sono gli occhi miei; in te ho sperato, non rimovere (da te) l'anima mia.
9 prevail, but let them be overwhelmed by their own malice.	9 Guarda me dal laccio che a me hanno ordinato, e dalli scandali [delli] operanti la iniquità.
10 May red-hot embers rain down on them, may they be flung into the mire once and for all.	10 Nel suo reticello caderanno li peccatori; singularmente son io insino ch' io passi.
11 May the slanderer find no rest anywhere, may evil hunt down violent men implacably.
12 I know that Yahweh wil give judgement for the wretched, justice for the needy.
13 The upright shal praise your name, the honest dwel in your presence.
