NEW JERUSALEM	Біблія
1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he came to the throne, and he reigned for fifty-five years inJerusalem.	1 Манассії було 12 років, як став царем, і 55 років царював він у Єрусалимі.
2 He did what is displeasing to Yahweh, copying the disgusting practices of the nations whom Yahwehhad dispossessed for the Israelites.	2 Він чинив зло в очах Господніх, переймаючи гидоти народів, що їх Господь прогнав був перед синами Ізраїля.
3 He rebuilt the high places which his father Hezekiah had demolished, he set up altars to Baal andmade sacred poles, he worshipped the whole array of heaven and served it.	3 Він збудував знов узвишшя, що збурив Єзекія, його батько, і спорудив жертовники ва-алам, поробив священні палі, поклонявся всьому воїнству небесному й служив йому.
4 He built altars in the Temple of Yahweh, of which Yahweh had said, 'My name wil be in Jerusalem forever.'	4 Він збудував жертовники в домі Господньому, що про нього заповідав Господь: «В Єрусалимі буде ім’я моє повіки»;
5 He built altars to the whole array of heaven in the two courts of the Temple of Yahweh.	5 і встановив жертовники всьому воїнству небесному на обох дворах дому Господнього.
6 He caused his sons to pass through the fire of sacrifice in the Val ey of Ben-Hinnom. He practisedsoothsaying, divination and sorcery, and had dealings with mediums and spirit-guides. He did very many morethings displeasing to Yahweh, thus provoking his anger.	6 Він також перевів своїх синів через вогонь у долині Бен-Гіннома, знахурював, і ворожив, і чарував, завів викликачів мертвих та знахурів, і коїв багато злого в очах Господніх, приводивши його до гніву.
7 He put a sculpted image, an idol which he had had made, inside the Temple of which God had said toDavid and his son Solomon, 'In this Temple and in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen out of al the tribes ofIsrael, I shal put my name for ever.	7 Поставив подобу витесаного ідола, що його зробив, в домі Божому, про який Бог говорив Давидові та Соломонові, його синові: «У цьому домі та в Єрусалимі, що я вибрав з усіх колін Ізраїля, покладу я моє ім’я навіки,
8 Nor shal I ever again remove Israel's foot from the soil on which I established your ancestors oncondition that they were careful to observe al I commanded them as laid down in the whole Law, the statutesand the ordinances, given through Moses.'	8 і не допущу, щоб ноги Ізраїля вийшли з землі, що її я закріпив за вашими батьками, як тільки вони пильнуватимуть, щоб виконувати все, що я їм заповідав, ввесь закон, постанови й накази приписані Мойсеєм.»
9 But Manasseh misled Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem into doing worse things than the nationswhich Yahweh had destroyed for the Israelites.	9 Але Манассія довів Юдею та мешканців Єрусалиму до того, що вони чинили гірше від тих народів, що їх Господь вигубив був перед синами Ізраїля.
10 When Yahweh spoke to Manasseh and his people, they would not listen.	10 І говорив Господь до Манассії та до його народу, та вони не зважали.
11 Yahweh then brought down on them the generals of the king of Assyria's army who capturedManasseh with hooks, put him in chains and took him to Babylon.	11 Тоді Господь навів на них начальників війська асирійського царя, що забили Манассію в ланцюги, закували в подвійні кайдани та й одвели у Вавилон.
12 While in his distress, he placated Yahweh his God by genuinely humbling himself before the God ofhis ancestors.	12 Але він у своїй скруті узяв благати Господа, Бога свого, і смирився вельми перед Богом батьків своїх;
13 When he prayed to him, he was moved by his entreaty, heard his supplication and brought him backto Jerusalem to his kingdom. Manasseh realised then that Yahweh is God.	13 молився до нього, й Господь вислухав його благання й повернув його в Єрусалим на його царство. Тоді Манассія пересвідчився, що Господь є Бог.
14 Afterwards, he rebuilt the outer wall of the City of David, to the west of Gihon, in the val ey, up to theFish Gate and round the Ophel, and made it very much higher. And he stationed military governors in al thefortified towns of Judah.	14 Після того побудував він зовнішній мур Давидгороду, на захід від Гіхо-ну, низом аж до входу в Рибні ворота, навколо Офела, й підвів його дуже високо. Настановив також військових начальників по всіх укріплених містах Юдеї.
15 He also removed the foreign gods and the idol from the Temple of Yahweh, as well as all the altarswhich he had built on the mountain of the Temple of Yahweh and in Jerusalem, and threw them out of the city.	15 Він усунуь чужоземних богів та ідола з дому Господнього та усі жертовники, що спорудив на горі дому Господнього й в Єрусалимі, і викинув їх геть за місто.
16 He repaired the altar of Yahweh and offered communion sacrifices and thanksgiving offerings on it,and commanded Judah to serve Yahweh, God of Israel.	16 Він поставив наново жертовник Господній і приніс на ньому мирні й подячні жертви, й наказав юдеям служити Господеві, Богові Ізраїля.
17 The people, however, went on sacrificing at the high places, although only to Yahweh their God.	17 Але народ приносив ще жертви на узвишшях, хоч то й було Господеві, Богові своєму.
18 The rest of the history of Manasseh, his prayer to his God, and the prophecies of the seers whospoke to him in the name of Yahweh, God of Israel, can be found in the Annals of the Kings of Israel.	18 Решта дій Манассії та його молитва до свого Бога й слова видющих, що говорили до нього в ім’я Господа, Бога Ізраїля, записані в діях ізраїльських царів.
19 His prayer and how God was moved by his entreaty, all his sins, his infidelity, the sites where he builthigh places and set up sacred poles and idols before humbling himself, are set down in the records of Hozai.	19 Молитва ж його й те, як його вислухав його Господь, усі його гріхи та його нечестивість, і про місця, де він спорудив узвишшя й поставив священні палі та тесаних бовванів, перед своїм упокоренням, записані в споминах видющих.
20 Then Manasseh fel asleep with his ancestors and was buried in the garden of his palace. His sonAmon succeeded him.	20 І спочив Манассія при своїх батьках, і поховали його в його палаці. Замість нього став царем його син Амон.
21 Amon was twenty-two years old when he came to the throne, and he reigned for two years inJerusalem.	21 Було Амонові 22 роки, як став царем, і 2 роки царював він у Єрусалимі.
22 He did what is displeasing to Yahweh, as his father Manasseh had done, for Amon sacrificed to althe images which his father Manasseh had made, and served them.	22 Він чинив зло в очах Господніх, як чинив його батько Манассія; всім тесаним бовванам, що наробив Манассія, його батько, Амон приносив жертви і служив їм.
23 He did not humble himself before Yahweh as his father Manasseh had done; on the contrary, Amonwilfully added to his guilt.	23 Але він не смирився перед Господом, як був смирився Манассія, його батько: ба навіть грішив щораз більше.
24 His retinue plotted against him and killed him in his own palace.	24 І змовились на нього його слуги й убили його в його палаці.
25 The people of the country, however, slaughtered al those who had plotted against King Amon andproclaimed his son Josiah as his successor.	25 Але народ краю повбивав усіх, що були. в змові проти царя Амона, і замість нього народ краю настановив царем Йосію, його сина.
