2 Samuel 22

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 David addressed the words of this song to Yahweh, when Yahweh had delivered him from theclutches of all his enemies and from the clutches of Saul.	1 E David disse a Dio le parole di questo verso, nel dì che il Signore lo liberò dalle mani di tutti i suoi nemici e dalle mani di Saul.
2 He said: Yahweh is my rock and my fortress,	2 E disse: il Signore mia pietra, e mia fortezza, e mio salvatore.
3 my deliverer is my God. I take refuge in him, my rock, my shield, my saving strength, my stronghold,my place of refuge. My Saviour, you have saved me from violence;	3 Iddio mio forte, e io ho sperato in lui, iscudo mio e corno della salute mia; elevatore mio e rifugio mio, liberami della iniquità mia.
4 I cal to Yahweh, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my foes.	4 Io invocherò lo Signore laudabile, e sarò salvo dai nemici miei.
5 With Death's breakers closing in on me, Belial's torrents ready to swal ow me,	5 Però che [mi] circondarono gli dolori della morte, e i fiumi della iniquità mi spaurirono.
6 Sheol's snares on every side of me, Death's traps lying ahead of me,	6 Gli funi dello inferno mi cerchiarono, e vennero innanzi a me gli lacci della morte.
7 I cal ed to Yahweh in my anguish, I cried for help to my God, from his Temple he heard my voice, mycry came to his ears!	7 Nella mia tribulazione chiamerò al mio Dio del suo santo templo; ed esaudirà la mia voce, e il mio gridare fu nelli orecchii suoi.
8 Then the earth quaked and rocked, the heavens' foundations shuddered, they quaked at his blazinganger.	8 La terra fue commossa e tremò; e le fondamenta de' monti furono commosse e conquassate, però che Iddio era irato a loro.
9 Smoke rose from his nostrils, from his mouth devouring fire (coals were kindled at it).	9 Del suo naso ascendeo il fumo, e il fuoco della bocca divorerà; i carboni s' accesero da lui.
10 He parted the heavens and came down, a storm-cloud underneath his feet;	10 E inchinò i cieli, e discese; e la caligine sotto i piedi suoi.
11 riding one of the winged creatures, he flew, soaring on the wings of the wind.	11 E ascendette sopra i Cherubini, e volò sopra le penne de' venti.
12 He wrapped himself in darkness, his pavilion dark waters and dense cloud.	12 Egli pose le tenebre nel circuito suo, vagliando le acque de' nuvoli dell' aria.
13 A brightness lit up before him, hail and blazing fire.	13 Li nuvoli sono splendidi nel suo cospetto; furono accesi i carboni del fuoco.
14 Yahweh thundered from the heavens, the Most High made his voice heard.	14 Il Signore tonerà del cielo, e l'altissimo darà la sua voce.
15 He shot his arrows and scattered them, his lightning flashed and routed them.	15 Mandò le sue saette, e dissipolli; il fulgore, e consumogli.
16 The very springs of ocean were exposed, the world's foundations were laid bare, at the roaring ofYahweh, at the blast of breath from his nostrils!	16 E apparvero gli spargimenti del mare, e le fondamenta della terra furono rivelate dalla reprensione del Signore (fuggirono) e dalla spirazione dello spirito del suo furore.
17 He reached down from on high, snatched me up, pul ed me from the watery depths,	17 Mandò da alto, e tolsemi; e trassemi di molte acque.
18 rescued me from my mighty foe, from my enemies who were stronger than I.	18 Liberommi dal mio nemico potentissimo, e da quelli che mi odiavano; perchè erano più forti di me.
19 They assailed me on my day of disaster, but Yahweh was there to support me,	19 Nel dì della mia afflizione fu innanzi a me, e fu il Signore mio, firmamento mio.
20 he freed me, set me at large, he rescued me, because he loves me.	20 E trassemi nella larghezza; e liberommi perchè gli piacqui.
21 Yahweh rewards me for my uprightness, as my hands are pure so he repays me,	21 Renderammi il Signore mio secondo la mia giustizia; e secondo la mondizia delle mie mani renderà.
22 since I have kept the ways of Yahweh, and not fal en away from my God.	22 Però ch' io servai le vie del Signore, e non operai empiamente col mio Iddio.
23 His judgements are al before me, his statutes I have not put away from me;	23 Però che tutti i suoi giudizii erano nel mio cospetto; e i suoi comandamenti non rimossi da me.
24 I am blameless before him, I keep myself clear of evil.	24 E sarò perfetto con esso lui; e guarderommi dalla mia iniquità.
25 Hence Yahweh repaid me for acting uprightly because he could see I was pure.	25 E renderammi il Signore secondo la mia giustizia, e secondo la mondizia delle mie mani nel cospetto degli occhii suoi.
26 Faithful you are to the faithful, blameless with the blameless,	26 Col santo sarai santo; e col forte, perfetto.
27 sincere to the sincere but cunning to the crafty,	27 E collo eletto sarai eletto; e col perverso sarai perverso.
28 you save a people that is humble and humiliate those with haughty looks.	28 E farai salvo il popolo povero; e cogli occhii tuoi li eccelsi umilierai.
29 Yahweh, you yourself are my lamp, my God lights up my darkness;	29 Perchè tu sei la mia lucerna, Signore; e tu, Signore, illuminerai le mie oscuritadi.
30 with you I storm the rampart with my God I can scale any wal .	30 E io accinto correrò in te; nel mio Iddio passerò il muro.
31 This God, his way is blameless; the word of Yahweh is refined in the furnace, for he alone is theshield of al who take refuge in him.	31 Iddio, la sua via è senza macula; la parola del Signore fie esaminata col fuoco, e fie scudo a tutti quelli ch' hanno speranza in lui.
32 For who is God but Yahweh, who is a rock but our God:	32 Però chi è Iddio altro che il Signore, e chi è forte altro che il nostro Iddio?
33 this God who girds me with strength, who makes my way free from blame,	33 Iddio che mi cinse di fortezza, e fece piana la mia perfetta via.
34 who makes me as swift as a deer and sets me firmly on the heights,	34 Agguagliando i miei piedi a' cervi, e pognendomi sopra le mie altezze.
35 who trains my hands for battle my arms to bend a bow of bronze.	35 Ammaestrando le mie mani alla battaglia, e componendo le mie braccia come arco d'acciaio.
36 You give me your invincible shield, you never cease to listen to me,	36 Tu mi desti lo scudo della tua salute; e la tua mansuetudine mi moltiplicoe.
37 you give me the strides of a giant, give me ankles that never weaken-	37 E tu dilaterai sotto a me gli miei andamenti; e i miei talloni non verranno meno.
38 I pursue my enemies and exterminate them, not turning back till they are annihilated;	38 Io perseguiterò gli miei nemici, e romperogli; e non torneroe, tanto ch' io gli abbia consumati.
39 I strike them down, and they cannot rise, they fal , they are under my feet.	39 Io gli consumerò e gli romperò, si che non si rileveranno; e caderanno sotto gli miei piedi.
40 You have girded me with strength for the fight, bent down my assailants beneath me,	40 Tu mi cignesti di fortezza a combattere; e incurvasti sotto di me gli miei avversarii.
41 made my enemies retreat before me; and those who hate me I destroy.	41 Tu desti a me il dorso de' miei nemici; e confondesti quegli che mi odiavano.
42 They cry out, there is no one to save, to Yahweh, but no answer comes.	42 Egli chiamaranno, e non sarà chi salvi loro; al Signore, e non gli esaudirà.
43 I crumble them like the dust of the squares, trample them like the mud of the streets.	43 Io gli torrò via, sì come la polvere della terra; e come il fango delle piazze gli romperò e minuzzerò.
44 You free me from the quarrels of my people, you place me at the head of the nations, a people I didnot know are now my servants,	44 Tu mi salverai delle contraddizioni del mio popolo, e fara'mi capo delle genti; il popolo, il quale io non conosco, mi servirà.
45 foreigners come wooing my favour, no sooner do they hear than they obey me,	45 E i figliuoli d'altrui mi faranno resistenza, e con l'audito degli orecchii obbediranno a me.
46 foreigners grow faint of heart, they come trembling out of their fastnesses.	46 E i figliuoli istrani vennero meno, e saranno contratti nelle loro angoscie.
47 Life to Yahweh! Blessed be my rock! Exalted be the God of my salvation,	47 Vive il Signore, e benedetto Iddio mio; sarà esaltato lo Iddio di mia salute.
48 the God who gives me vengeance and crushes the peoples under me,	48 Iddio il quale dài a me la vendetta, e fai cadere gli popoli sotto a me.
49 who takes me away from my enemies. You lift me high above those who attack me, you deliver mefrom the man of violence.	49 Il quale mi trài da' nemici, e da quelli mi fanno resistenza mi sublevi; tu mi libererai dall'uomo iniquo.
50 For this I wil praise you, Yahweh, among the nations, and sing praise to your name.	50 E però tra le genti ti laudarò, e canterò al tuo nome.
51 He saves his king, time after time, displays faithful love for his anointed, for David and his heirs forever.	51 È quello che magnifica la salute al suo re, e fa misericordia al cristo suo David e al suo seme in sempiterno.
