Genesis 6

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 When people began being numerous on earth, and daughters had been born to them,	1 Amikor azután az emberek sokasodni kezdtek a földön, és leányokat nemzettek,
2 the sons of God, looking at the women, saw how beautiful they were and married as many of them asthey chose.	2 látták az Isten fiai, hogy az emberek leányai szépek, és feleségül vették közülük mindazokat, akiket kiszemeltek.
3 Yahweh said, 'My spirit cannot be indefinitely responsible for human beings, who are only flesh; let thetime al owed each be a hundred and twenty years.'	3 Isten ekkor így szólt: »Ne maradjon lelkem örökké az emberben, mivel test: százhúsz esztendő maradjon meg napjaiból!«
4 The Nephilim were on earth in those days (and even afterwards) when the sons of God resorted to thewomen, and had children by them. These were the heroes of days gone by, men of renown.	4 Óriások voltak a földön azokban a napokban – azután, hogy az Isten fiai bementek az emberek leányaihoz, és azok szültek –, ezek az ősidők erős, híres férfiai.
5 Yahweh saw that human wickedness was great on earth and that human hearts contrived nothing butwicked schemes al day long.	5 Amikor azonban az Úr látta, hogy nagy az ember gonoszsága a földön, és hogy szíve minden gondolata folyton gonoszra irányul,
6 Yahweh regretted having made human beings on earth and was grieved at heart.	6 megbánta az Úr, hogy embert alkotott a földön, és mélyen bánkódva szívében
7 And Yahweh said, 'I shal rid the surface of the earth of the human beings whom I created -- humanand animal, the creeping things and the birds of heaven -- for I regret having made them.'	7 így szólt: »Eltörlöm a föld színéről az embert, akit teremtettem, az embert és a jószágot, a csúszómászót és az égi madarat, mert bánom, hogy alkottam őket!«
8 But Noah won Yahweh's favour.	8 Noé azonban kegyelmet talált az Úr előtt.
9 This is the story of Noah: Noah was a good man, an upright man among his contemporaries, and hewalked with God.	9 Noé nemzetségének története a következő. Noé igaz és tökéletes ember volt nemzedékében: Istennel járt.
10 Noah fathered three sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth.	10 Három fiút nemzett: Szemet, Kámot és Jáfetet.
11 God saw that the earth was corrupt and ful of lawlessness.	11 A föld azonban megromlott Isten előtt, és telve volt gonoszsággal.
12 God looked at the earth: it was corrupt, for corrupt were the ways of al living things on earth.	12 Amikor aztán látta Isten, hogy a föld megromlott – mert romlott útra tért minden test a földön –,
13 God said to Noah, 'I have decided that the end has come for al living things, for the earth is full oflawlessness because of human beings. So I am now about to destroy them and the earth.	13 azt mondta Noénak: »Elérkezett a vége minden testnek előttem: megtelt a föld gonoszsággal általuk, s én elpusztítom őket a földről.
14 Make yourself an ark out of resinous wood. Make it of reeds and caulk it with pitch inside and out.	14 Készíts magadnak bárkát cédrusfából – kamrákat készíts a bárkában –, és kend be szurokkal belülről, kívülről.
15 This is how to make it: the length of the ark is to be three hundred cubits, its breadth fifty cubits, andits height thirty cubits.	15 Így készítsd el: háromszáz könyök legyen a bárka hossza, ötven könyök a szélessége, és harminc könyök a magassága.
16 Make a roof to the ark, building it up to a cubit higher. Put the entrance in the side of the ark, which isto be made with lower, second and third decks.	16 Készíts ablakot a bárkára, s attól egykönyöknyire legyen a teteje; a bárka ajtaját pedig oldalt helyezd el; alsó, középső és felső fedélzetet készíts benne.
17 'For my part I am going to send the flood, the waters, on earth, to destroy al living things having thebreath of life under heaven; everything on earth is to perish.	17 Mert íme, én az özön vizeit hozom majd a földre, hogy megöljek minden testet, amelyben az élet lehelete van az ég alatt; minden, ami a földön van, elvész.
18 But with you I shal establish my covenant and you wil go aboard the ark, yourself, your sons, yourwife, and your sons' wives along with you.	18 Veled azonban szövetséget kötök: menj be majd a bárkába, te, és veled a fiaid, a feleséged és a fiaid feleségei.
19 From al living creatures, from al living things, you must take two of each kind aboard the ark, to savetheir lives with yours; they must be a male and a female.	19 Vigyél be a bárkába minden állatból, minden testből kettőt-kettőt, hímet és nőstényt, hogy életben maradjanak veled.
20 Of every species of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that creeps along theground, two must go with you so that their lives may be saved.	20 A madárból, faja szerint, a lábasjószágból, faja szerint, s a föld minden csúszómászójából, faja szerint. Mindenből kettő-kettő menjen be majd veled, hogy életben maradjon.
21 For your part, provide yourself with eatables of al kinds, and lay in a store of them, to serve as foodfor yourself and them.'	21 Végy magaddal minden eledelből is, ami ennivaló, s hordd be magadhoz, hogy eleségül legyen neked és nekik.«
22 Noah did this; exactly as God commanded him, he did.	22 Meg is tette ezt Noé. Mindent megtett úgy, ahogy Isten megparancsolta neki.
