Zechariah 9

1 An oracle: The word of the LORD is upon the land of Hadrach, and Damascus is its resting place, For the cities of Aram are the LORD'S, as are all the tribes of Israel,	1 Lo carico della parola di Dio nella terra di Adrac, e di Damasco al suo riposo; però che del Signore è l'occhio dello uomo, e di tutte le schiatte di Ierusalem.
2 Hamath also, on its border, Tyre too, and Sidon, however wise they be.	2 Ed Emat sì è nelli termini suoi, e Tiro e Sidone; e pigliarono a sè molto la sapienza.
3 Tyre built herself a stronghold, and heaped up silver like dust, and gold like the mire of the streets.	3 E Tiro edificò la sua armadura, e radunò i monticelli di argento come la terra, e l'oro come. lo luto delle piazze.
4 Lo, the LORD will strip her of her possessions, and smite her power on the sea, and she shall be devoured by fire.	4 Ed ecco lo Signore la possederà, e percuoterà nel mare la sua fortezza; e questa sarà divorata. al fuoco.
5 Ashkelon shall see it and be afraid; Gaza also: she shall be in great anguish; Ekron, too, for her hope shall come to nought. The king shall disappear from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited,	5 E Ascalone vedrà, e temerà; e Gaza (un'altra città) si dolerà molto; e Accaron, per che la sua speranza è confusa; perirà lo re di Gaza, e Ascalon non sarà abitata.

7 and take from his mouth his bloody meat, and his abominations from between his teeth: He also shall become a remnant for our God, and shall be like a family in Judah, and Ekron shall be like the Jebusites.	7 E torrò lo loro sangue della bocca, e le loro abominazioni del mezzo de' suoi denti; e anco lui sarà lasciato al nostro Iddio, e sarà come duca nella Giudea, e Accaron sarà come Iebuseo.
8 I will encamp by my house as a guard that none may pass to and fro; No oppressor shall pass over them again, for now I have regard for their affliction.	8 E attornierò la mia casa di costoro i quali cavalcano a me andando e ritornando, e non passerà più sopra loro lo tiranno; però che io ora l' hoe veduto ne' miei occhi.
9 Rejoice heartily, O daughter Zion, shout for joy, O daughter Jerusalem! See, your king shall come to you; a just savior is he, Meek, and riding on an ass, on a colt, the foal of an ass.	9 Allègrati, figliuola di Sion; e loda Iddio, [figliuola di] Ierusalem. Ecco lo tuo re viene giusto e salvatore; egli sarà povero, e cavalcherà l'asina, e sopra lo puledro figliuolo dell' asina.
10 He shall banish the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; The warrior's bow shall be banished, and he shall proclaim peace to the nations. His dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.	10 E disperderò lo carro di Efraim, e lo cavallo di Ierusalem; e sarà spezzato l'arco della battaglia, e parlerà la pace alle genti; e la sua signoria dal mare insino al mare, e dalli fiumi infino alli confini della terra.
11 As for you, for the blood of your covenant with me, I will bring forth your prisoners from the dungeon.	11 E tu cacciasti nel sangue del tuo testamento, li tuoi prigioni fuori dello lago, nel quale non era acqua.
12 In the return to the fortress of the waiting prisoners, This very day, I will return you double for your exile.	12 Convertitevi a guarnimento, congiunti alla speranza; e oggi certamente annunziando io ti renderò le cose duplicate.
13 For I will bend Judah as my bow, I will arm myself with Ephraim; I will arouse your sons, O Zion, (against your sons, O Yavan,) and I will use you as a warrior's sword.	13 Però ch' io distesi a me Giuda come uno arco, e riempierò (la terra di) Efraim; e risusciterò li tuoi figliuoli, o Sion, sopra li tuoi figliuoli, o Grecia; e porrò te quasi come arco de' forti.
14 The LORD shall appear over them, and his arrow shall shoot forth as lightning; The LORD God shall sound the trumpet, and come in a storm from the south.	14 E lo Signore Iddio sarà veduto sopra loro, e lo suo dardo uscirà fuori come (una saetta di) fulgore; e lo Signore sonerà come una tromba, e andrà nella tempesta d' austro.
15 The LORD of hosts shall be a shield over them, they shall overcome sling stones and trample them underfoot; They shall drink blood like wine, till they are filled with it like libation bowls, like the corners of the altar.	15 E lo Signore delli esèrciti difenderà loro; e divorerannogli, e sottometterannogli a sè colle pietre della rombola; e bevendo s' inebrieranno quasi come di vino, e saranno ripieni come guastarde, e come corni d'altare.
16 And the LORD, their God, shall save them on that day, his people, like a flock. For they are the jewels in a crown raised aloft over his land.	16 E lo Signore Iddio li salverà in quel dì, come la greggia del popolo suo; però che le sante pietre saranno levate sopra la sua terra.
17 For what wealth is theirs, and what beauty! grain that makes the youths flourish, and new wine, the maidens!	17 Adunque qual è lo suo bene, e qual è la sua bella cosa, se non lo grano delli (suoi) eletti, e lo (suo) grillante vino le vergini?
