Isaiah 56

1 Thus says the LORD: Observe what is right, do what is just; for my salvation is about to come, my justice, about to be revealed.	1 Così dice il Signore: "Osservate il diritto e praticate la giustizia, perché prossima a venire è la mia salvezza; la mia giustizia sta per rivelarsi".
2 Happy is the man who does this, the son of man who holds to it; Who keeps the sabbath free from profanation, and his hand from any evildoing.	2 Beato l'uomo che così agisce e il figlio dell'uomo che a questo si attiene, che osserva il sabato senza profanarlo, che preserva la sua mano da ogni male.
3 Let not the foreigner say, when he would join himself to the LORD, "The LORD will surely exclude me from his people"; Nor let the eunuch say, "See, I am a dry tree."	3 Non dica lo straniero che ha aderito al Signore: "Certo mi escluderà il Signore dal suo popolo!". Non dica l'eunuco:"Ecco, io sono un albero secco!".
4 For thus says the LORD: To the eunuchs who observe my sabbaths and choose what pleases me and hold fast to my covenant,	4 Poiché così dice il Signore: "Agli eunuchi, che osservano i miei sabati, preferiscono le cose di mio gradimento e restan fermi nella mia alleanza,
5 I will give, in my house and within my walls, a monument and a name Better than sons and daughters; an eternal, imperishable name will I give them.	5 io concederò nella mia casa e dentro le mie mura un posto e un nome migliore che ai figli e alle figlie; darò loro un nome eterno che non sarà mai cancellato.
6 And the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD, ministering to him, Loving the name of the LORD, and becoming his servants-- All who keep the sabbath free from profanation and hold to my covenant,	6 Gli stranieri, che hanno aderito al Signore per servirlo e per amare il nome del Signore, e per essere suoi servi, quanti si guardano dal profanare il sabato e restano fermi nella mia alleanza,
7 Them I will bring to my holy mountain and make joyful in my house of prayer; Their holocausts and sacrifices will be acceptable on my altar, For my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.	7 li condurrò sul mio monte santo e li colmerò di gioia nella mia casa di preghiera. I loro olocausti e i loro sacrifici saliranno graditi sul mio altare, perché il mio tempio si chiamerà casa di preghiera per tutti i popoli".
8 Thus says the Lord GOD, who gathers the dispersed of Israel: Others will I gather to him besides those already gathered.	8 Oracolo del Signore Dio che raduna i dispersi di Israele: "Io ancora radunerò i suoi prigionieri, oltre quelli già radunati".
9 All you wild beasts of the field, come and eat, all you beasts in the forest!	9 Voi tutte, bestie dei campi, venite a mangiare; voi tutte, bestie della foresta, venite.
10 My watchmen are blind, all of them unaware; They are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; Dreaming as they lie there, loving their sleep.	10 I suoi guardiani sono tutti ciechi, non si accorgono di nulla. Sono tutti cani muti, incapaci di abbaiare; sonnecchiano accovacciati, amano appisolarsi.
11 They are relentless dogs, they know not when they have enough. These are the shepherds who know no discretion; Each of them goes his own way, every one of them to his own gain:	11 Ma tali cani avidi, che non sanno saziarsi, sono i pastori incapaci di comprendere. Ognuno segue la sua via, ognuno bada al proprio interesse, senza eccezione.
12 "Come, I will fetch some wine; let us carouse with strong drink, And tomorrow will be like today, or even greater."	12 "Venite, io prenderò vino e ci ubriacheremo di bevande inebrianti. Domani sarà come oggi; ce n'è una riserva molto grande".
