6 also Baalath, all the supply cities belonging to Solomon, and all the cities for the chariots, the cities for the horsemen, and whatever else Solomon decided should be built in Jerusalem, in the Lebanon, and in the entire land under his dominion.	6 ebenso Baala und alle Vorratsstädte, die ihm gehörten, die Städte für die Wagen und ihre Mannschaft und was er sonst in Jerusalem, auf dem Libanon und im ganzen Bereich seiner Herrschaft zu bauen wünschte.
7 All the people that remained of the Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, who were not of Israel--	7 Die Reste der Hetiter, Amoriter, Perisiter, Hiwiter und Jebusiter, die nicht zu den Israeliten gehörten
8 that is, their descendants remaining in the land, whom the Israelites had not destroyed--Solomon subjected to forced labor, as they continue to this day.	8 und von denen noch Nachkommen im Land lebten - die Israeliten hatten sie nicht ausgerottet - hob Salomo als Fronarbeiter aus und sie blieben es bis zum heutigen Tag.
9 But Solomon did not enslave the Israelites for his works. They became soldiers, commanders of his warriors, and commanders of his chariots and his horsemen.	9 Von den Israeliten aber machte Salomo niemand zum Sklaven für seine Arbeit; sie waren seine Krieger, seine Obersten und Hauptleute, die Befehlshaber über seine Wagen und deren Mannschaft.
10 They were also King Solomon's two hundred and fifty overseers who had charge of the people.	10 Zweihundertfünfzig Werkführer, die unter dem Befehl der Statthalter Salomos standen, hatten die Aufsicht über die Arbeiter.
11 Solomon brought the daughter of Pharaoh up from the City of David to the palace which he had built for her, for he said, "No wife of mine shall dwell in the house of David, king of Israel, for the places where the ark of the LORD has come are holy."	11 Salomo brachte die Tochter des Pharao aus der Davidstadt in das Haus, das er für sie gebaut hatte; denn er sagte: Eine Frau soll nicht im Haus Davids, des Königs von Israel, wohnen; denn die Räume, in die die Lade des Herrn gekommen ist, sind heilig.
12 In those times Solomon offered holocausts to the LORD upon the altar of the LORD which he had built in front of the porch,	12 Damals brachte Salomo auf dem Altar, den er vor der Halle für den Herrn erbaut hatte, Brandopfer dar.
13 as was required day by day according to the command of Moses, and in particular on the sabbaths, at the new moons, and on the fixed festivals three times a year: on the feast of the Unleavened Bread, the feast of Weeks and the feast of Booths.	13 Auch an den Sabbaten und Neumondtagen ließ er die Opfer darbringen, die nach dem Befehl des Mose für diese Tage angeordnet waren. Das Gleiche tat er dreimal im Jahr, jeweils an den Festen, am Fest der Ungesäuerten Brote, am Wochenfest und am Laubhüttenfest.
14 And according to the ordinance of his father David he appointed the various classes of the priests for their service, and the Levites according to their functions of praise and ministry alongside the priests, as the daily duty required. The gatekeepers of the various classes stood guard at each gate, since such was the command of David, the man of God.	14 Dem Auftrag seines Vaters David folgend, bestellte er die Abteilungen der Priester für ihren Dienst und die Leviten für ihre Aufgabe, Loblieder zu singen und an der Seite der Priester Dienst zu tun, wie es für jeden Tag vorgeschrieben war. Auch bestellte er die Torwächter nach ihren Abteilungen für die einzelnen Tore; denn so lautete der Befehl Davids, des Mannes Gottes.
15 There was no deviation from the king's command in any respect relating to the priests and Levites or the treasuries.	15 Man wich in keinem Punkt von den Befehlen ab, die der König für die Priester und für die Leviten erlassen hatte.
16 All of Solomon's work was carried out successfully from the day the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid until the house of the LORD had been completed in every detail.	16 So wurde das ganze Werk Salomos planmäßig ausgeführt, vom Tag der Grundlegung des Hauses des Herrn bis zu seiner Fertigstellung, bis zur Vollendung des Hauses des Herrn.
17 In those times Solomon went to Ezion-geber and to Elath on the seashore of the land of Edom.	17 Damals begab sich Salomo nach Ezjon-Geber und Elat an der Küste des Meeres in Edom.
18 Huram, through his servants, sent him ships and crewmen acquainted with the sea, who accompanied Solomon's servants to Ophir and brought back from there four hundred and fifty talents of gold to King Solomon.	18 Hiram schickte ihm durch seine Knechte Schiffe und geübte Seefahrer. Sie fuhren mit den Leuten Salomos nach Ofir, holten von dort vierhundertfünfzig Talente Gold und brachten es dem König Salomo.
