1 The sons of Reuben, the first-born of Israel. (He was indeed the first-born, but because he disgraced the couch of his father his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph, son of Israel, so that he is not listed in the family records according to birthright.	1 Rúbennek, Izrael elsőszülöttjének fiai: – ő volt ugyanis elsőszülöttje, de minthogy meggyalázta atyja ágyát, elsőszülöttségét Józsefnek, Izrael fiának fiai kapták meg s ő nem számított elsőszülöttnek,
2 Judah, in fact, became powerful among his brothers, so that the ruler came from him, though the birthright had been Joseph's.)	2 hanem Júda lett a legerősebb a testvérei között s az ő törzséből származtak a fejedelmek, az elsőszülöttség pedig Józsefnek jutott. –
3 The sons of Reuben, the first-born of Israel, were Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.	3 Tehát Rúbennek, Izrael elsőszülöttjének fiai Énok, Fállu, Eszron és Kármi voltak.
4 His son was Joel, whose son was Shemaiah, whose son was Gog, whose son was Shimei,	4 Joel fiai voltak : az ő fia, Sámia, akinek fia Góg, akinek fia Szemei,
5 whose son was Micah, whose son was Reaiah, whose son was Baal,	5 akinek fia Míka, akinek fia Reja, akinek fia Baál,

7 His brothers who belonged to his clans, when they were listed in the family records according to their descendants, were: Jeiel, the chief, and Zechariah,	7 Testvéreinek s egész nemzetségének, amikor családjaik szerint összeírták őket, fejedelmei a következők voltak: Jejél, Zakariás,
8 and Bela, son of Azaz, son of Shema, son of Joel. The Reubenites lived in Aroer and as far as Nebo and Baal-meon;	8 továbbá Bála, annak az Atáznak a fia, aki Sammának, Joel fiának volt a fia. Ő Ároertől egészen Nébóig és Beelmeonig lakott,
9 toward the east they dwelt as far as the desert which extends from the Euphrates River, for they had much livestock in the land of Gilead.	9 kelet felé pedig az Eufrátesz folyóig terjedő puszta bejáratáig telepedett le. Nagyszámú barmuk volt ugyanis Gileád földjén,
10 During the reign of Saul they waged war with the Hagrites, and when they had defeated them they occupied their tents throughout the region east of Gilead.	10 és Saul napjaiban hadat indítottak az agariták ellen. Miután ezeket megölték, helyettük ők laktak sátraikban, a Gileádtól keletre eső egész vidéken.
11 The Gadites lived alongside them in the land of Bashan as far as Salecah.	11 Gád fiai pedig velük szemben, Básán földjén, Szelkáig telepedtek le.
12 Joel was chief, Shapham was second in command, and Janai was judge in Bashan.	12 Joel volt a fő, Sáfán a második, majd Jánáj és Sáfát következett Básánban.
13 Their brothers, corresponding to their ancestral houses, were: Michael, Meshullam, Sheba, Jorai, Jacan, Zia, and Eber--seven.	13 Testvéreik, családjaik szerint a következők voltak: Mikaél, Mesullám, Sebe, Jóráj, Jákán, Zíe és Héber: hét.

18 The Reubenites, Gadites, and half-tribe of Manasseh were warriors, men who bore shield and sword and who drew the bow, trained in warfare--forty-four thousand seven hundred and sixty men fit for military service.	18 Rúbennek, Gádnak és Manassze fél törzsének a fiai közül negyvennégyezer-hétszázhatvan harcos, pajzs- és kardviselő, íjász, harcban jártas férfi hadba vonult és

20 they received help so that they mastered the Hagrites and all who were with them. 23 The numerous members of the half-tribe of Manasseh lived in the land of Bashan as far as Baal-hermon, Senir, and Mount Hermon.	23 Manassze fél törzsének fiai a Básán határaitól a Baál-Hermonig és a Szánirig terjedő földet meg a Hermon hegyet lakták, mivel igen sokan voltak.
24 The following were the heads of their ancestral houses: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah, and Jahdiel--men who were warriors, famous men, and heads over their ancestral houses.	24 A családok fejei a következők voltak: Éfer, Jesi, Eliél, Ezriél, Jirmeja, Hodavja és Jahdiél. Ők igen vitéz és hatalmas emberek és neves fejedelmek voltak családjaikban.
25 However, they offended the God of their fathers by lusting after the gods of the natives of the land, whom God had cleared out of their way.	25 Elhagyták azonban atyáik Istenét s parázna módra az ország azon népeinek istenei után jártak, amelyeket Isten eltávolított előlük.
26 Therefore the God of Israel incited against them the anger of Pul, king of Assyria, and of Tiglath-pileser, king of Assyria, who deported the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh and brought them to Halah, Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, where they have remained to this day.	26 Erre Izrael Istene felingerelte ellenük Fúlnak, az asszírok királyának lelkét és Tiglatpilezernek, Asszúr királyának lelkét s az fogságba vitte Rúbent, Gádot és Manassze törzsének felét s Láhelába, meg a Háborhoz és Árába meg Gózán folyójához vitette őket, s ott is vannak mind a mai napig.
27 The sons of Levi were Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.	27 Lévi fiai Gerson, Kaát és Merári.
28 The sons of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.	28 Kaát fiai Amrám, Jichár, Hebron és Oziel,
29 The children of Amram were Aaron, Moses, and Miriam. The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.	29 Amrám fiai Áron, Mózes és Mirjám. Áron fiai Nádáb, Ábiu, Eleazár és Itamár voltak.
30 Eleazar became the father of Phinehas. Phinehas became the father of Abishua.	30 Eleazár Fineeszt nemzette, Fineesz Abisuét nemzette,
31 Abishua became the father of Bukki. Bukki became the father of Uzzi.	31 Abisue Bokkit nemzette, Bokki Ózit nemzette,
32 Uzzi became the father of Zerahiah. Zerahiah became the father of Meraioth.	32 Ózi Zaráját nemzette, Zarája Merajótot nemzette,
33 Meraioth became the father of Amariah. Amariah became the father of Ahitub.	33 Merajót Amarját nemzette, Amarja Ahitóbot nemzette,

41 Jehozadak was one of those who went into the exile which the LORD inflicted on Judah and Jerusalem through Nebuchadnezzar.	41 Joszedek eltávozott, amikor az Úr fogságba vitette Júdát és Jeruzsálemet Nebukadnezár által.
