1 וזה הדבר אשר תעשה להם לקדש אתם לכהן לי לקח פר אחד בן בקר ואילם שנים תמימם	1 "This is the rite you shall perform in consecrating them as my priests. Procure a young bull and two unblemished rams.
2 ולחם מצות וחלת מצת בלולת בשמן ורקיקי מצות משחים בשמן סלת חטים תעשה אתם	2 With fine wheat flour make unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers spread with oil,
3 ונתת אותם על סל אחד והקרבת אתם בסל ואת הפר ואת שני האילם	3 and put them in a basket. Take the basket of them along with the bullock and the two rams.
4 ואת אהרן ואת בניו תקריב אל פתח אהל מועד ורחצת אתם במים	4 Aaron and his sons you shall also bring to the entrance of the meeting tent, and there wash them with water.
5 ולקחת את הבגדים והלבשת את אהרן את הכתנת ואת מעיל האפד ואת האפד ואת החשן ואפדת לו בחשב האפד	5 Take the vestments and clothe Aaron with the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod itself, and the breastpiece, fastening the embroidered belt of the ephod around him.
6 ושמת המצנפת על ראשו ונתת את נזר הקדש על המצנפת	6 Put the miter on his head, the sacred diadem on the miter.
7 ולקחת את שמן המשחה ויצקת על ראשו ומשחת אתו	7 Then take the anointing oil and anoint him with it, pouring it on his head.
8 ואת בניו תקריב והלבשתם כתנת	8 Bring forward his sons also and clothe them with the tunics,
9 וחגרת אתם אבנט אהרן ובניו וחבשת להם מגבעת והיתה להם כהנה לחקת עולם ומלאת יד אהרן ויד בניו	9 gird them with the sashes, and tie the turbans on them. Thus shall the priesthood be theirs by perpetual law, and thus shall you ordain Aaron and his sons.
10 והקרבת את הפר לפני אהל מועד וסמך אהרן ובניו את ידיהם על ראש הפר	10 "Now bring forward the bullock in front of the meeting tent. There Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head.
11 ושחטת את הפר לפני יהוה פתח אהל מועד	11 Then slaughter the bullock before the LORD, at the entrance of the meeting tent.
12 ולקחת מדם הפר ונתתה על קרנת המזבח באצבעך ואת כל הדם תשפך אל יסוד המזבח	12 Take some of its blood and with your finger put it on the horns of the altar. All the rest of the blood you shall pour out at the base of the altar.
13 ולקחת את כל החלב המכסה את הקרב ואת היתרת על הכבד ואת שתי הכלית ואת החלב אשר עליהן והקטרת המזבחה	13 All the fat that covers its inner organs, as well as the lobe of its liver and its two kidneys, together with the fat that is on them, you shall take and burn on the altar.
14 ואת בשר הפר ואת ערו ואת פרשו תשרף באש מחוץ למחנה חטאת הוא	14 But the flesh and hide and offal of the bullock you must burn up outside the camp, since this is a sin offering.
15 ואת האיל האחד תקח וסמכו אהרן ובניו את ידיהם על ראש האיל	15 "Then take one of the rams, and after Aaron and his sons have laid their hands on its head,
16 ושחטת את האיל ולקחת את דמו וזרקת על המזבח סביב	16 slaughter it. The blood you shall take and splash on all the sides of the altar.
17 ואת האיל תנתח לנתחיו ורחצת קרבו וכרעיו ונתת על נתחיו ועל ראשו	17 Cut the ram into pieces; its inner organs and shanks you shall first wash, and then put them with the pieces and with the head.
18 והקטרת את כל האיל המזבחה עלה הוא ליהוה ריח ניחוח אשה ליהוה הוא	18 The entire ram shall then be burned on the altar, since it is a holocaust, a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.
19 ולקחת את האיל השני וסמך אהרן ובניו את ידיהם על ראש האיל	19 "After this take the other ram, and when Aaron and his sons have laid their hands on its head,
20 ושחטת את האיל ולקחת מדמו ונתתה על תנוך אזן אהרן ועל תנוך אזן בניו הימנית ועל בהן ידם הימנית ועל בהן רגלם הימנית וזרקת את הדם על המזבח סביב	20 slaughter it. Some of its blood you shall take and put on the tip of Aaron's right ear and on the tips of his sons' right ears and on the thumbs of their right hands and the great toes of their right feet. Splash the rest of the blood on all the sides of the altar.
21 ולקחת מן הדם אשר על המזבח ומשמן המשחה והזית על אהרן ועל בגדיו ועל בניו ועל בגדי בניו אתו וקדש הוא ובגדיו ובניו ובגדי בניו אתו	21 Then take some of the blood that is on the altar, together with some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle this on Aaron and his vestments, as well as on his sons and their vestments, that his sons and their vestments may be sacred.
22 ולקחת מן האיל החלב והאליה ואת החלב המכסה את הקרב ואת יתרת הכבד ואת שתי הכלית ואת החלב אשר עליהן ואת שוק הימין כי איל מלאים הוא	22 "Now, from this ram you shall take its fat: its fatty tail, the fat that covers its inner organs, the lobe of its liver, its two kidneys with the fat that is on them, and its right thigh, since this is the ordination ram;
23 וככר לחם אחת וחלת לחם שמן אחת ורקיק אחד מסל המצות אשר לפני יהוה	23 then, out of the basket of unleavened food that you have set before the LORD, you shall take one of the loaves of bread, one of the cakes made with oil, and one of the wafers.
24 ושמת הכל על כפי אהרן ועל כפי בניו והנפת אתם תנופה לפני יהוה	24 All these things you shall put into the hands of Aaron and his sons, so that they may wave them as a wave offering before the LORD.
25 ולקחת אתם מידם והקטרת המזבחה על העלה לריח ניחוח לפני יהוה אשה הוא ליהוה	25 After you have received them back from their hands, you shall burn them on top of the holocaust on the altar as a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.
26 ולקחת את החזה מאיל המלאים אשר לאהרן והנפת אתו תנופה לפני יהוה והיה לך למנה	26 Finally, take the breast of Aaron's ordination ram and wave it as a wave offering before the LORD; this is to be your own portion.
27 וקדשת את חזה התנופה ואת שוק התרומה אשר הונף ואשר הורם מאיל המלאים מאשר לאהרן ומאשר לבניו	27 "Thus shall you set aside the breast of whatever wave offering is waved, as well as the thigh of whatever raised offering is raised up, whether this be the ordination ram or anything else belonging to Aaron or to his sons.
28 והיה לאהרן ולבניו לחק עולם מאת בני ישראל כי תרומה הוא ותרומה יהיה מאת בני ישראל מזבחי שלמיהם תרומתם ליהוה	28 Such things are due to Aaron and his sons from the Israelites by a perpetual ordinance as a contribution. From their peace offerings, too, the Israelites shall make a contribution, their contribution to the LORD.
29 ובגדי הקדש אשר לאהרן יהיו לבניו אחריו למשחה בהם ולמלא בם את ידם	29 "The sacred vestments of Aaron shall be passed down to his descendants, that in them they may be anointed and ordained.
30 שבעת ימים ילבשם הכהן תחתיו מבניו אשר יבא אל אהל מועד לשרת בקדש	30 The descendant who succeeds him as priest and who is to enter the meeting tent to minister in the sanctuary shall be clothed with them for seven days.
31 ואת איל המלאים תקח ובשלת את בשרו במקם קדש	31 "You shall take the flesh of the ordination ram and boil it in a holy place.
32 ואכל אהרן ובניו את בשר האיל ואת הלחם אשר בסל פתח אהל מועד	32 At the entrance of the meeting tent Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram and the bread that is in the basket.
33 ואכלו אתם אשר כפר בהם למלא את ידם לקדש אתם וזר לא יאכל כי קדש הם	33 They themselves are to eat of these things by which atonement was made at their ordination and consecration; but no layman may eat of them, since they are sacred.
34 ואם יותר מבשר המלאים ומן הלחם עד הבקר ושרפת את הנותר באש לא יאכל כי קדש הוא	34 If some of the flesh of the ordination sacrifice or some of the bread remains over on the next day, this remnant must be burned up; it is not to be eaten, since it is sacred.
35 ועשית לאהרן ולבניו ככה ככל אשר צויתי אתכה שבעת ימים תמלא ידם	35 Carry out all these orders in regard to Aaron and his sons just as I have given them to you. "Seven days you shall spend in ordaining them,
36 ופר חטאת תעשה ליום על הכפרים וחטאת על המזבח בכפרך עליו ומשחת אתו לקדשו	36 sacrificing a bullock each day as a sin offering, to make atonement. Thus also shall you purge the altar in making atonement for it; you shall anoint it in order to consecrate it.
37 שבעת ימים תכפר על המזבח וקדשת אתו והיה המזבח קדש קדשים כל הנגע במזבח יקדש	37 Seven days you shall spend in making atonement for the altar and in consecrating it. Then the altar will be most sacred, and whatever touches it will become sacred.
38 וזה אשר תעשה על המזבח כבשים בני שנה שנים ליום תמיד	38 "Now, this is what you shall offer on the altar: two yearling lambs as the sacrifice established for each day;
39 את הכבש האחד תעשה בבקר ואת הכבש השני תעשה בין הערבים	39 one lamb in the morning and the other lamb at the evening twilight.
40 ועשרן סלת בלול בשמן כתית רבע ההין ונסך רבעית ההין יין לכבש האחד	40 With the first lamb there shall be a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a fourth of a hin of oil of crushed olives and, as its libation, a fourth of a hin of wine.
41 ואת הכבש השני תעשה בין הערבים כמנחת הבקר וכנסכה תעשה לה לריח ניחח אשה ליהוה	41 The other lamb you shall offer at the evening twilight, with the same cereal offering and libation as in the morning. You shall offer this as a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.
42 עלת תמיד לדרתיכם פתח אהל מועד לפני יהוה אשר אועד לכם שמה לדבר אליך שם	42 Throughout your generations this established holocaust shall be offered before the LORD at the entrance of the meeting tent, where I will meet you and speak to you.
43 ונעדתי שמה לבני ישראל ונקדש בכבדי	43 "There, at the altar, I will meet the Israelites; hence, it will be made sacred by my glory.
44 וקדשתי את אהל מועד ואת המזבח ואת אהרן ואת בניו אקדש לכהן לי	44 Thus I will consecrate the meeting tent and the altar, just as I also consecrate Aaron and his sons to be my priests.
45 ושכנתי בתוך בני ישראל והייתי להם לאלהים	45 I will dwell in the midst of the Israelites and will be their God.
46 וידעו כי אני יהוה אלהיהם אשר הוצאתי אתם מארץ מצרים לשכני בתוכם אני יהוה אלהיהם	46 They shall know that I, the LORD, am their God who brought them out of the land of Egypt, so that I, the LORD, their God, might dwell among them.
