1 Salmo di David. Sulle rive de' fiumi di Babilonia ivi sedemmo, e piangemmo in ricordandoci di te, o Sionne:	1 Al eluia! Give thanks to Yahweh for he is good, for his faithful love endures for ever.
2 Ai salci appendemmo in mezzo a lei i nostri strumenti.	2 Give thanks to the God of gods, for his faithful love endures for ever.
3 Perché ivi domandarono a noi quelli, che ci avevano menati schiavi, le parole de' nostri cantici:	3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for his faithful love endures for ever.
4 E coloro, che ci avevano rapiti dissero: cantate a noi un inno di que', che si cantano in Sionne:	4 He alone works wonders, for his faithful love endures for ever.
5 E come mai canteremo un cantico del Signore in una terra straniera?	5 In wisdom he made the heavens, for his faithful love endures for ever.
