1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.	1 Giunto il giorno della Pentecoste stavano tutti insieme nel medesimo luogo,
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.	2 e all'improvviso venne dal cielo un rumore come di vento impetuoso e riempì tutta la casa dove si trovavano.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.	3 Ed apparvero ad essi, distinte, delle lingue come di fuoco, e se ne posò una su ciascuno di loro:
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.	4 e furono tutti ripieni di Spirito Santo e cominciarono a parlare vari linguaggi secondo che lo Spirito Santo dava loro di esprimersi.
5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.	5 Or, fra gli ebrei residenti a Gerusalemme, c'eran persone pie d'ogni nazione sotto il cielo.
6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.	6 Essendo venuto quel rumore, concorso la moltitudine, e rimase sba­lordita, sentendoli ciascuno parlare nella sua propria lingua.
7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?	7 E ne stupivan tutti e ne facevan le maraviglie, dicendo: Ecco, questi che parlano non sono tutti Galilei?
8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?	8 Come va che ognuno di noi li udiamo parlare nel nostro linguaggio natio?
9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,	9 Parti, Medi ed Elamiti, abitanti della Mesopotamia e della Giudea, della Cappadocia, del Ponto e dell'Asia,
10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,	10 della Frigia, della Panfilia, dell'Egitto e dei paesi della Libia che è intorno a Cirene, e avventizi Romani,
11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.	11 intanto i Giudei che i proseliti, Cretesi ed Arabi, li abbiamo uditi parlare nelle nostre lingue delle grandezze di Dio.
12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?	12 E tutti ne stupivan ed eran pieni di maraviglia, dicendo: Che vuol essere questo?
13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.	13 Altri poi, facendosene beffe, dicevano: Ei son pieni di vin dolce.
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:	14 Ma Pietro, levatosi su con gli altri undici, alzò la voce e disse loro: Uomini di Giudea, e voi tutti che abitate in Gerusalemme, siavi noto questo, e date ascolto alle mie parole.
15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.	15 Costoro certo non sono briachi, come voi pensate, non essendo che la terza ora del giorno.
16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;	16 Avviene invece quello che fu detto dal profeta Gioele:
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God,I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:	17 E avverrà negli ultimi giorni (dice il Signore) che io diffonderò il mio Spirito sopra tutti gli uomini, e i vostri figli e le vostre figlie profeteranno, i vostri giovani avranno delle visioni ed i vostri vecchi dei sogni.
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:	18 E sopra i miei servi e sopra le mie serve diffonderò il mio Spirito, in quei giorni, e profeteranno.
19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:	19 E farò prodigi su in cielo e segni giù in terra, sangue e fuoco e vortici di fumo.
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:	20 Il sole si cangerà in tenebre e la luna in sangue, prima che venga il giorno grande e glorioso del Signore.
21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.	21 Allora chiunque avrà invocato il nome del Signore sarà salvo.
22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:	22 Israeliti, ascoltate queste parole: Gesù Nazzareno, uomo approvato da Dio tra voi, con opere potenti e prodigi e segni, che Dio fece per lui in mezzo a voi, come voi stessi sapete,
23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:	23 essendo stato per determinato consiglio e prescienza divina dato nelle vostre mani voi l'avete fatto morire crocifìggendolo per mano di empi;
24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.	24 ma Dio l'ha risuscitato infranti i legami dolorosi della morte, essendo impossibile che ne fosse ritenuto,
25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:	25 infatti David dice di lui: Ho avuto presente il Signore sempre nel mio cospetto essendo egli alla mia destra affinchè io non tremi.
26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:	26 Per questo si è rallegrato il mio cuore e la mia lingua ha giubilato ed anche il mio corpo riposerà nella speranza;
27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.	27 perchè tu non lascerai l'anima mia nell'inferno e non permetterai che il tuo Santo vegga la corruzione.
28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.	28 M'hai rese note le vie della vita e mi ricolmerai di gloria colla tua presenza.
29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.	29 Fratelli, sia lecito di dirvi liberamente del patriarca David che morì e fu sepolto e la sua tomba è anche al presente presso di noi;
30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;	30 ma essendo egli profeta o sapendo che Dio gli aveva promesso con giuramento di far sedere uno della sua stirpe sul suo trono,
31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.	31 profetando della risurrezione di Cristo, disse che egli non sarebbe stato lasciato nella morte e che la sua carne non avrebbe visto la corruzione.
32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.	32 Questo Gesù, Dio l'ha risuscitato e noi tutti ne siamo testimoni.
33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.	33 Esaltato egli dunque alla destra di Dio, e ricevuta dal Padre promessa dello Spirito Santo, l'ha diffuso, come voi vedete e udite.
34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,	34 Certamente David non salì al cielo; eppure egli disse: Ha detto il Signore al mio Signore: Siedi alla mia destra,
35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.	35 sinchè non abbia posto i tuoi nemici a sgabello dei tuoi piedi.
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.	36 Sappia dunque sicuramente tutta la casa d'Israele che Dio ha costituito Signore e Cristo questo Gesù che voi avete crocifisso.
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?	37 Udite queste parole, si compunsero di cuore e dissero a Pietro e agli altri Apostoli: Che dobbiamo fare, fratelli?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.	38 E Pietro disse loro: Fate penitenza, e ciascuno di voi si faccia battezzare nel nome di Gesù Cristo in remissione dei vostri peccati e riceverete il dono dello Spirito Santo.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.	39 Perchè la promessa è per voi e per i vostri figlioli, e per tutti i lontani, quanti ne chiamerà il Signore Iddio nostro.
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.	40 E con altre moltissime parole li scongiurava e li esortava dicendo: Salvatevi da questa generazione perversa.
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.	41 Quelli adunque che accolsero la sua parola furono battezzati; e si aggiunsero in quel giorno circa tremila anime.
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.	42 Ed erano assidui all'istruzione degli Apostoli, nell'unione, nella frazione del pane e nelle preghiere.
43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.	43 E tutta la gente era in apprensione, e molti prodigi e segni si facevano dagli Apostoli in Gerusalemme, e tutti stavano in gran timore.
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;	44 E tutti i credenti stavano insieme ed avevano tutto in comune.
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.	45 Vendevano le possessioni ed i beni e ne distribuivano il ricavato a tutti, secondo il bisogno di ciascuno.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,	46 Ed ogni giorno di comune accordo erano assidui al tempio, e spezzando il pane nelle case, prendevano cibo con gioia e semplicità di cuore,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.	47 lodando Dio, ben veduti da tutto il popolo. Il Signore poi aggiungeva a questi quelli che dovevano essere salvi.
