Psalms 26

KING JAMES BIBLE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.	1 [Of David] Yahweh, be my judge! I go on my way in innocence, my trust in Yahweh never wavers.
2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.	2 Probe me, Yahweh, examine me, Test my heart and my mind in the fire.
3 For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.	3 For your faithful love is before my eyes, and I live my life by your truth.
4 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.	4 No sitting with wastrels for me, no travel ing with hypocrites;
5 I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.	5 I hate the company of sinners, I refuse to sit down with the wicked.
6 I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:	6 I will wash my hands in innocence and join the procession round your altar, Yahweh,
7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.	7 to make heard the sound of thanksgiving, to proclaim all your wonders.
8 LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.	8 Yahweh, I love the beauty of your house and the place where your glory dwel s.
9 Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:	9 Do not couple me with sinners, nor my life with men of violence,
10 In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.	10 whose hands are stained with guilt, their right hands heavy with bribes.
11 But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.	11 In innocence I will go on my way; ransom me, take pity on me.
12 My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.	12 I take my stand on the right path; I wil bless you, Yahweh, in the assemblies.
