1 And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?	1 E David disse: è egli rimaso persona di casa di Saul, ch' io possa fare con lui misericordia per amore di Ionata?
2 And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.	2 Ed era, di casa di Saul, uno servo il quale avea nome Siba; il quale chiamato a sè, il re disse a lui: se' tu Siba? Egli respuose; sì, sono tuo servo.
3 And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.	3 E il re disse: è rimaso persona [di casa] di Saul, col quale io faccia la misericordia di Dio? E Siba respuose al re: egli si è di Ionata uno figliuolo, debile de' piedi.
4 And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar.	4 Ed egli disse: o dove è egli? E Siba disse al re: egli è in casa di Machir figliuolo di Ammiel di Lodabar.
5 Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lo-debar.	5 E il re David mandò per lui, e fecelo venire di casa di Machir figliuolo di Ammiel.
6 Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!	6 E venuto Mifiboset figliuolo di Ionata figliuolo di Saul a David, cadde sopra il viso suo e adorò. E disse David: Mifiboset? Ed egli respuose: sì, io sono presente, tuo servo.
7 And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.	7 E David disse a lui: non temere, però ch' io farò teco misericordia per amore di Ionata tuo padre, e renderotti tutti i campi di Saul tuo padre; tu sempre mangerai il pane nella mia mensa.
8 And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?	8 Il quale adorando disse: chi sono io tuo servo, che hai guardato me, simigliantemente d' uno cane morto?
9 Then the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, I have given unto thy master's son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.	9 E il re chiamò Siba servo di Saul, e dissegli: tutte le cose che furono di Saul, e tutta la casa sua, io hoe data al figliuolo del tuo signore.
10 Thou therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master's son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.	10 Lavòragli la terra tu e i tuoi figliuoli e i tuoi servi; e darai al figliuolo del tuo signore il cibo onde si governi; e Mifiboset figliuolo del tuo signore mangerà sempre nella mia mensa. E a Siba erano XV figliuoli e XX servi.
11 Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.	11 E disse Siba al re: secondo che tu, signore mio, hai comandato, così farà il tuo servo; e Mifiboset mangerà nella mensa del re, sì come uno dei figliuoli del re.
12 And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.	12 E Mifiboset avea uno figliuolo piccolo, il quale avea nome Mica; e tutto il parentado di Siba servia a Mifiboset.
13 So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eat continually at the king's table; and was lame on both his feet.	13 E Mifiboset abitava in Ierusalem, però che continuo era pasciuto dalla mensa del re; ed era zoppo d' amendui i piedi.
