9 Még nem értették ugyanis az Írást, hogy fel kell támadnia a halálból.	9 Til this moment they had stil not understood the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
10 A tanítványok ezután ismét hazamentek.	10 The disciples then went back home.
11 Mária pedig kinn állt a sírnál, és sírt. Amint sírdogált, behajolt a sírboltba.	11 But Mary was standing outside near the tomb, weeping. Then, as she wept, she stooped to lookinside,
12 Két angyalt látott fehér ruhában ülni, az egyiket fejtől, a másikat lábtól, ahol Jézus teste feküdt.	12 and saw two angels in white sitting where the body of Jesus had been, one at the head, the other atthe feet.
13 Azok megkérdezték tőle: »Asszony, miért sírsz?« Ő azt felelte nekik: »Elvitték az én Uramat, és nem tudom hová tették!«	13 They said, 'Woman, why are you weeping?' 'They have taken my Lord away,' she replied, 'and I don'tknow where they have put him.'

18 Mária Magdolna elment, és hírül vitte a tanítványoknak: »Láttam az Urat!«, és hogy ezeket mondta neki.	18 So Mary of Magdala told the disciples, 'I have seen the Lord,' and that he had said these things toher.

Jesus came and stood among them. He said to them, 'Peace be withyou,'

26 Nyolc nap múlva ismét együtt voltak a tanítványai, és Tamás is velük volt. Jézus eljött – bár az ajtó zárva volt –, megállt középen, és így szólt: »Békesség nektek!«	26 Eight days later the disciples were in the house again and Thomas was with them. The doors wereclosed, but Jesus came in and stood among them. 'Peace be with you,' he said.
27 Azután azt mondta Tamásnak: »Tedd ide ujjadat és nézd a kezeimet; nyújtsd ki kezedet és tedd az oldalamba, és ne légy hitetlen, hanem hívő!«	27 Then he spoke to Thomas, 'Put your finger here; look, here are my hands. Give me your hand; put itinto my side. Do not be unbelieving any more but believe.'
28 Tamás azt felelte: »Én Uram és én Istenem!«	28 Thomas replied, 'My Lord and my God!'
29 Jézus erre azt mondta neki: »Mivel láttál engem, hittél. Boldogok, akik nem láttak, és mégis hittek.«	29 Jesus said to him: You believe because you can see me. Blessed are those who have not seen andyet believe.
30 Jézus még sok egyéb csodajelet is művelt tanítványai szeme láttára, amelyek nincsenek megírva ebben a könyvben.	30 There were many other signs that Jesus worked in the sight of the disciples, but they are notrecorded in this book.
31 Ezeket pedig azért írták le, hogy higgyétek, hogy Jézus a Krisztus, az Isten Fia, és e hit által az ő nevében életetek legyen.	31 These are recorded so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and thatbelieving this you may have life through his name.
