1 Izrael fiai, a családfők, az ezredesek, a századosok, az elöljárók, akik csapataik szerint szolgáltak a királynak, s az esztendő egy-egy hónapjában vonultak ki és be, és egyenkint huszonnégyezer ember élén álltak, számuk szerint a következők voltak.	1 Now the children of Israel according to their number, the heads of families, captains of thousands and of hundreds, and officers, that served the king according to their companies, who came in and went out every month in the year, under every chief were four and twenty thousand.

22 Dán élén pedig Ezriél, Jerohám fia. Ezek voltak Izrael fiainak vezetői.	22 And over Dan, Ezrihel the son of Jeroham: these were the princes of the children of Israel.

28 A Mezőségen elterülő olaj- és fügefa-kertek felügyelője a gederita Balanám volt, az olajtárházak felett pedig Joás állt.	28 And over the oliveyards and the fig groves, which were in the plains, was Balanam a Gederite: and over the oil cellars, Joas.
29 A Sáronon legelő csordák felügyelője a sároni Setráj volt, a völgyekben levő szarvasmarhák felett Sáfát, Ádli fia volt,	29 And over the herds that fed in Saron, was Setrai a Saronite: and over the. oxen in the valleys, Saphat the son of Adli:
