1 Woe to thee, O city of blood, all full of lies and violence: rapine shall not depart from thee.	1 Ουαι εις την πολιν των αιματων? ολη ειναι πληρης ψευδους και αρπαγης? το θηραμα δεν απολειπει.
2 The noise of the whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the neighing horse, and of the running chariot, and of the horsemen coming up,	2 Φωνη μαστιγων ακουεται και φωνη θορυβου τροχων και ιππων ορμωντων και αρματων αναπηδωντων,
3 And of the shining sword, and of the glittering spear, and of a multitude slain, and of a grievous destruction: and there is no end of carcasses, and they shall fall down on their dead bodies.	3 ιππεως αναβαινοντος και ρομφαιας στιλβουσης και λογχης εξαστραπτουσης, και πληθος τραυματιζομενων και μεγας αριθμος πτωματων, και δεν ειναι τελος των πτωματων? προσκοπτουσιν εις τα πτωματα αυτων?
4 Because of the multitude of the fornications of the harlot that was beautiful and agreeable, and that made use of witchcraft, that sold nations through her fornications, and families through her witchcrafts.	4 απο του πληθους των πορνειων της θελκτικης πορνης, της εμπειρου εις γοητειας, ητις πωλει εθνη δια των πορνειων αυτης και φυλας δια των γοητειων αυτης.
5 Behold I come against thee, saith the Lord of hosts: and I will discover thy shame to thy face, and will shew thy nakedness to the nations, and thy shame to kingdoms.	5 Ιδου, εγω ειμαι εναντιον σου, λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων? και θελω ανασηκωσει τα κρασπεδα σου επι το προσωπον σου, και θελω δειξει εις τα εθνη την αισχυνην σου και εις τα βασιλεια την ατιμιαν σου.
6 And I will cast abominations upon thee, and will disgrace thee, and will make an example of thee.	6 Και θελω ριψει βδελυραν ακαθαρσιαν επι σε και θελω σε καταισχυνει και θελω σε καταστησει εις θεαμα.
7 And it shall come to pass that every one that shall see thee, shall flee from thee, and shall say: Ninive is laid waste: who shall bemoan thee? whence shall I seek a comforter for thee?	7 Και παντες οι βλεποντες σε θελουσι φευγει απο σου και θελουσι λεγει, Η Νινευη ηρημωθη? τις θελει συλλυπηθη αυτην; ποθεν θελω ζητησει παρηγορητας δια σε;
8 Art thou better than the populous Alexandria, that dwelleth among the rivers? waters are round about it: the sea is its riches, the waters are its walls.	8 εισαι καλητερα της Νω Αμμων, της κειμενης μεταξυ των ποταμων, της περικυκλουμενης απο υδατων, της οποιας προμαχων ητο η θαλασσα και τειχος αυτης το πελαγος;
9 Ethiopia and Egypt were the strength thereof, and there is no end: Africa and the Libyans were thy helpers.	9 Η Αιθιοπια ητο η ισχυς αυτης και η Αιγυπτος και αλλοι απεραντοι? η Φουθ και οι Λιβυες ησαν οι βοηθοι σου.
10 Yet she also was removed and carried into captivity: her young children were dashed in pieces at the top of every street, and they cast lots upon her nobles, and all her great men were bound in fetters.	10 Αλλα και αυτη μετωκισθη, υπηγεν εις αιχμαλωσιαν, τα δε νηπια αυτης συνετριφθησαν επι των ακρων πασων των οδων? και ερριψαν κληρους επι τους ενδοξους αυτης ανδρας, και παντες οι μεγιστανες αυτης εδεθησαν με αλυσεις.
11 Therefore thou also shalt be made drunk, and shalt be despised: and thou shalt seek help from the enemy.	11 Και συ θελεις μεθυσθη, θελεις μενει αφανης? και συ θελεις ζητησει δυναμιν εναντιον του εχθρου.
12 All thy strong holds shall be like fig trees with their green figs: if they be shaken, they shall fall into the mouth of the eater.	12 Παντα τα οχυρωματα σου θελουσιν εισθαι ως συκαι με τα πρωτοφανη συκα αυτων? εαν σεισθωσι, θελουσι βεβαιως πεσει εις το στομα του τρωγοντος.
13 Behold thy people in the midst of thee are women: the gates of thy land shall be set wide open to thy enemies, the fire shall devour thy bars.	13 Ιδου, ο λαος σου ειναι γυναικες εν μεσω σου? αι πυλαι της γης σου θελουσιν εισθαι ολως ανεωγμεναι εις τους εχθρους σου? το πυρ θελει καταφαγει τους μοχλους σου.
14 Draw thee water for the siege, build up thy bulwarks: go into the clay, and tread, work it and make brick.	14 Ανασυρον εις σεαυτον υδωρ δια την πολιορκιαν, ενδυναμωσον τα οχυρωματα σου? εισελθε εις τον πηλον και πατησον την αργιλλον, επισκευασον την κεραμικην καμινον?
15 There shall the fire devour thee: thou shalt perish by the sword, it shall devour thee like the bruchus: assemble together like the bruchus, make thyself many like the locust.	15 εκει θελει σε καταφαγει το πυρ? η ρομφαια θελει σε εξολοθρευσει, θελει σε καταφαγει ως βρουχος? πληθυνου ως βρουχος, πληθυνου ως ακρις.
16 Thou hast multiplied thy merchandises above the stars of heaven: the bruchus hath spread himself and flown away.	16 Επληθυνας τους εμπορους σου υπερ τα αστρα του ουρανου? ο βρουχος εξηπλωθη και εξεπεταξεν.
17 Thy guards are like the locusts: and thy little ones like the locusts of locusts which swarm on the hedges in the day of cold: the sun arose, and they flew away, and their place was not known where they were.	17 Οι μεγιστανες σου ειναι ως ακριδες και οι σατραπαι σου ως μεγαλαι ακριδες, αιτινες επικαθηνται επι τους φραγμους εν ημερα ψυχους? αλλ' οταν ο ηλιος ανατειλη, φευγουσι και ο τοπος αυτων δεν γνωριζεται που ησαν.
18 Thy shepherds have slumbered, O king of Assyria, thy princes shall be buried: thy people are hid in the mountains, and there is none to gather them together.	18 Οι ποιμενες σου ενυσταξαν, βασιλευ της Ασσυριας? οι δυνατοι σου απεκοιμηθησαν? ο λαος σου εσκορπισθη επι τα ορη και δεν υπαρχει ο συναγων.
19 Thy destruction is not hidden, thy wound is grievous: all that have heard the fame of thee, have clapped their hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?	19 Δεν ειναι ιασις εις το συντριμμα σου? η πληγη σου ειναι χαλεπη? παντες οι ακουοντες την αγγελιαν σου θελουσι κροτησει χειρας επι σε? διοτι επι τινα δεν επηλθε παντοτε η κακια σου;
