1 The Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai, the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first month, saying:	1 Habló Yahveh a Moisés, en el desierto del Sinaí, el año segundo de la salida de Egipto, el mes primero, y le dijo:
2 Let the children of Israel make the phase in its due time,	2 «Que los israelitas celebren la Pascua a su tiempo.
3 The fourteenth day of this month in the evening, according to all the ceremonies and justifications thereof.	3 La celebrarán el día catorce de este mes, entre dos luces, al tiempo debido. La celebrarán según todos sus preceptos y normas.»
4 And Moses commanded the children of Israel that they should make the phase.	4 Moisés dijo a los israelitas que celebraran la Pascua.
5 And they made it in its proper time: the fourteenth day of the month at evening, in mount Sinai. The children of Israel did according to all things that the Lord had commanded Moses.	5 La celebraron en el desierto del Sinaí, el primer mes, el día catorce del mes, entre dos luces. Según había mandado Yahveh a Moisés lo hicieron los israelitas.
6 But behold some who were unclean by occasion of the soul of a men, who could not make the phase on that day, coming to Moses and Aaron,	6 Pero sucedió que algunos hombres estaban impuros por contacto de cadáver humano y no podían celebrar la Pascua aquel día. Se presentaron a Moisés y Aarón el mismo día
7 Said to them: We are unclean by occasion of the soul of a man. Why are we kept back that we may not offer in its season the offering to the Lord among the children of Israel?	7 y les dijeron: «Estamos impuros por contacto de cadáver humano. ¿Por qué hemos de quedar excluidos de presentar la ofrenda a Yahveh a su tiempo con los demás israelitas?»
8 And Moses answered them: Stay that I may consult the Lord what he will ordain concerning you.	8 Moisés les respondió: «Esperad, que voy a consultar lo que os manda Yahveh.»
9 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	9 Yahveh habló a Moisés y le dijo:
10 Say to the children of Israel: The man that shall be unclean by occasion of one that is dead, or shall be in a journey afar off in your nation, let him make the phase to the Lord.	10 «Diles a los israelitas: Si uno de vosotros o de vuestros descendientes está impuro por cadáver, o está de viaje en tierra lejana, también celebrará la Pascua en honor de Yahveh.
11 In the second month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, they shall eat it with unleavened bread and wild lettuce:	11 La celebrarán el mes segundo, el día catorce, entre dos luces. La comerán con panes ázimos y hierbas amargas.
12 They shall not leave any thing thereof until morning, a nor break a bone thereof, they shall observe all the ceremonies of the phase.	12 No dejarán nada para la mañana, ni le quebrantarán ningún hueso. Según todo el ritual de la Pascua la celebrarán.
13 But if any man is clean, and was not on a journey, and did not make the phase, that soul shall be cut off from among his people, because he offered not sacrifice to the Lord in due season: he shall bear his sin.	13 Pero el que, encontrándose puro y no habiendo estado de viaje, deje de celebrar la Pascua, ese tal será extirpado de su pueblo. Ese hombre cargará con su pecado, por no haber presentado la ofrenda a Yahveh a su tiempo.
14 The sojourner also and the stranger if they be among you, shall make the phase to the Lord according to the ceremonies and justifications thereof. The same ordinance shall be with you both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.	14 Y si un forastero reside entre vosotros y celebra la Pascua en honor de Yahveh, la celebrará según los preceptos y normas de la Pascua. Uno mismo será el ritual para vosotros, tanto para el forastero como para el nativo del país.»
15 Now on the day that the tabernacle was reared up, a cloud covered it. But from the evening there was over the tabernacle, as it were, the appearance of fire until the morning.	15 El día en que se erigió la Morada, la Nube cubrió la Morada, la Tienda del Testimonio. Por la tarde se quedaba sobre la Morada, con aspecto de fuego, hasta la mañana.
16 So it was always: by day the cloud covered it, and by night as it were the appearance of fire.	16 Así sucedía permanentemente: la Nube la cubría y por la noche tenía aspecto de fuego.
17 And when the cloud that covered the tabernacle was taken up, then the children of Israel marched forward: and in the place where the cloud stood still, there they camped.	17 Cuando se levantaba la Nube de encima de la Tienda, los israelitas levantaban el campamento, y en el lugar en que se paraba la Nube, acampaban los israelitas.
18 At the commandment of the Lord they marched, and at his commandment they pitched the tabernacle. All the days that the cloud abode over the tabernacle, they remained in the same place:	18 A la orden de Yahveh partían los israelitas y a la orden de Yahveh acampaban. Quedaban acampados todos los días que la Nube estaba parada sobre la Morada.
19 And if it was so that it continued over it a long time, the children of Israel kept the watches of the Lord, and marched not,	19 Si se detenía la Nube muchos días sobre la Morada, los israelitas cumplían con el culto de Yahveh y no partían.
20 For as many days soever as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle. At the commandment of the Lord they pitched their tents, and at his commandment they took them down.	20 En cambio, si la Nube estaba sobre la Morada pocos días, a la orden de Yahveh acampaban y a la orden de Yahveh partían.
21 If the cloud tarried from evening until morning, and immediately at break of day left the tabernacle, they marched forward: and if it departed after a day and a night, they took down their tents.	21 Si la Nube estaba sobre la Morada sólo de la noche a la mañana, y por la mañana se alzaba, ellos partían. Si estaba un día y una noche y luego se elevaba, partían.
22 But if it remained over the tabernacle for two days or a month or a longer time, the children of Israel remained in the same place, and marched not: but immediately as soon as it departed, they removed the camp.	22 Si, en cambio, se detenía sobre la Morada dos días, o un mes, o un año, reposando sobre ella, los israelitas se quedaban en el campamento y no partían; pero en cuanto se elevaba, partían.
23 By the word of the Lord they pitched their tents, and by his word they marched: and kept the watches of the Lord according to his commandment by the hand of Moses.	23 A la orden de Yahveh acampaban y a la orden de Yahveh movían el campamento. Rendían culto a Yahveh, según la orden de Yahveh transmitida por Moisés.
