Psalms 23

DOUAI-RHEIMS	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 A psalm for David. The Lord ruleth me: and I shall want nothing.	1 Salmo. Di Davide. Il Signore è il mio pastore: nulla mi mancherà.
2 He hath set me in a place of pasture. He hath brought me up, on the water of refreshment:	2 In pascoli verdeggianti mi fa riposare, ad acque di ristoro egli mi conduce.
3 he hath converted my soul. He hath led me on the paths of justice, for his own name's sake.	3 Egli rinfranca l'anima mia, in sentieri di giustizia egli mi guida in grazia del suo nome.
4 For though I should walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will fear no evils, for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff, they have comforted me.	4 Anche se camminassi in una valle oscura, non temerei alcun male, poiché tu sei con me; il tuo bastone e il tuo vincastro sono essi la mia difesa.
5 Thou hast prepared a table before me against them that afflict me. Thou hast anointed my head with oil; and my chalice which inebriateth me, how goodly is it!	5 Una mensa tu prepari davanti a me di fronte ai miei avversari, hai unto con olio il mio capo e la mia coppa è traboccante.
6 And thy mercy will follow me all the days of my life. And that I may dwell in the house of the Lord unto length of days.	6 Certo, bontà e misericordia mi accompagneranno per tutti i giorni della mia vita, e rimarrò nella casa del Signore per lunghi anni.
