2 Blessed be the name of the Lord, from henceforth now and for ever.	2 Sia benedetto il nome del Signore, Da ora in eterno.
3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the name of the Lord is worthy of praise.	3 Il nome del Signore è lodato Dal sol levante, infino al ponente.
4 The Lord is high above all nations; and his glory above the heavens.	4 Il Signore è eccelso sopra tutte le nazioni, La sua gloria è sopra i cieli.
5 Who is as the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high:	5 Chi è simile al Signore Iddio nostro, Il quale abita ne’ luoghi altissimi?
6 and looketh down on the low things in heaven and in earth?	6 Che riguarda abbasso In cielo ed in terra;
7 Raising up the needy from the earth, and lifting up the poor out of the dunghill::	7 Che rileva il misero dalla polvere, Ed innalza il povero dallo sterco;
8 That he may place him with princes, with the princes of his people.	8 Per farlo sedere co’ principi, Co’ principi del suo popolo;
9 Who maketh a barren woman to dwell in a house, the joyful mother of children.	9 Che fa abitare in famiglia la donna sterile, Facendola diventar lieta madre di figliuoli? Alleluia
