1 And Josaphat king of Juda returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.	1 Και επεστρεψεν Ιωσαφατ ο βασιλευς του Ιουδα εις τον οικον αυτου εν ειρηνη, εις Ιερουσαλημ.
2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer met him, and said to him: Thou helpest the ungodly, and thou art joined in friendship with them that hate the Lord, and therefore thou didst deserve indeed the wrath of the Lord:	2 Και εξηλθεν Ιηου ο υιος του Ανανι, ο βλεπων, εις απαντησιν αυτου, και ειπε προς τον βασιλεα Ιωσαφατ, Τον ασεβη βοηθεις και τους μισουντας τον Κυριον αγαπας; δια τουτο οργη παρα του Κυριου ειναι επι σε?
3 But good works are found in thee, because thou hast taken away the groves out of the land of Juda, and hast prepared thy heart to seek the Lord the God of thy fathers.	3 πλην ευρεθησαν εν σοι καλα πραγματα, καθοτι αφηρεσας τα αλση απο της γης και κατευθυνας την καρδιαν σου εις το να εκζητης τον Θεον.
4 And Josaphat dwelt at Jerusalem: and he went out again to the people from Bersabee to mount Ephraim, and brought them back to the Lord the God of their fathers.	4 Και κατωκησεν ο Ιωσαφατ εν Ιερουσαλημ? επειτα εξηλθε παλιν δια του λαου απο Βηρ-σαβεε εως του ορους Εφραιμ, και επεστρεψεν αυτους προς Κυριον τον Θεον των πατερων αυτων.
5 And he set judges of the land in all the fenced cities of Juda, in every place.	5 Και κατεστησε κριτας εν τη γη, εν πασαις ταις οχυραις πολεσι του Ιουδα, εν εκαστη πολει.
6 And charging the judges, he said: Take heed what you do: for you exercise not the judgment of man, but of the Lord: and whatsoever you judge, it shall redound to you.	6 Και ειπε προς τους κριτας, Ιδετε τι καμνετε σεις? διοτι δεν κρινετε κρισιν ανθρωπου, αλλα του Κυριου, οστις ειναι μεθ' υμων εν τη κρισολογια?
7 Let the fear of the Lord be with you, and do all things with diligence: for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, a nor respect of persons, nor desire of gifts.	7 τωρα λοιπον ας ηναι εφ' υμας ο φοβος του Κυριου? προσεχετε εις τας πραξεις σας? διοτι δεν ειναι αδικια παρα Κυριω τω Θεω ημων ουδε προσωποληψια ουδε δωροδοκια.
8 In Jerusalem also Josaphat appointed Levites, and priests and chiefs of the families of Israel, to judge the judgment and the cause of the Lord for the inhabitants thereof.	8 Και εν Ιερουσαλημ ετι κατεστησεν ο Ιωσαφατ κριτας εκ των Λευιτων και των ιερεων και εκ των αρχηγων των πατριων του Ισραηλ, δια την κρισιν του Κυριου και δια τας διαφορας, και προσετρεχον εις Ιερουσαλημ.
9 And he charged them, saying: Thus shall you do in the fear of the Lord faithfully, and with a perfect heart.	9 Και προσεταξεν αυτους, λεγων, Ουτω θελετε καμνει εν φοβω Κυριου, εν πιστει και εν καρδια τελεια?
10 Every cause that shall come to you of your brethren, that dwell in their cities, between kindred and kindred, wheresoever there is question concerning the law, the commandment, the ceremonies, the justifications: shew it them, that they may not sin against the Lord, and that wrath may not come upon you and your brethren: and so doing you shall not sin.	10 και οποιαδηποτε διαφορα ελθη προς εσας εκ των αδελφων σας, των κατοικουντων εν ταις πολεσιν αυτων, αναμεσον αιματος και αιματος, αναμεσον νομου και εντολης, διαταγματων και νομιμων, θελετε νουθετει αυτους, δια να μη γινωνται ενοχοι εις τον Κυριον, και ελθη οργη εφ' υμας και επι τους αδελφους υμων? ουτω καμνετε, και δεν θελετε γινεσθαι ενοχοι?
11 And Amarias the priest your high priest shell be chief in the things which regard God: and Zabadias the son of Ismahel, who is ruler in the house of Juda, shall be over those matters which belong to the king's office : and you have before you the Levites for masters, take courage and do diligently, and the Lord will be with you in good things.	11 και ιδου, Αμαριας ο ιερευς θελει εισθαι ο αρχηγος υμων εν παση υποθεσει του Κυριου, και Ζεβαδιας ο υιος του Ισραηλ, ο αρχων του οικου Ιουδα, εν παση υποθεσει του βασιλεως? οι δε Λευιται θελουσιν εισθαι επισταται εμπροσθεν σας? ανδριζεσθε και πραττετε, και ο Κυριος θελει εισθαι μετα του αγαθου.
