1 Moreover David and the chief .officers of the army separated for the ministry the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Idithun : to prophesy with harps, and with psalteries, and with cymbals according to their number serving in their appointed office.	1 Pour la liturgie, David et les officiers de la milice du Temple, mirent à part les fils d’Asaf, de Héman et de Yédoutoun, qui prophétisaient en s’accompagnant de la lyre, de la harpe et des cymbales. On dressa la liste suivante des hommes chargés de ce service:
2 Of the sons of Asaph: Zacchur, and Joseph, and Nathania, and Asarela, sons of Asaph: under the hand of Asaph prophesying near the king.	2 Pour les fils d’Asaf: Zakour, Yosef, Nétanya, Asarééla; les fils d’Asaf étaient sous la direction d’Asaf qui prophétisait chaque fois que le roi en donnait l’ordre.
3 And of Idithun: the sons of Idithun, Godolias, Serf, Jeseias, and Hasabias, and Mathathias, six, under the hand of their father Idithun, who prophesied with a harp to give thanks and to praise the Lord.	3 Pour Yédoutoun: fils de Yédoutoun: Guédalyas, Seri, Yéchayas, Hachabyas, Mattityas; ils étaient 6 sous la direction de leur père Yédoutoun, qui au son de la lyre, chantaient les louanges au Seigneur et lui rendaient grâces.
4 Of Heman also: the sons of Heman, Bocciau, Mathaniau, Oziel, Subuel, and Jerimoth, Hananias, Hanani, Eliatha, Geddelthi, and Romemthiezer, and Jesbacassa, Mellothi, Othir, Mahazioth:	4 Pour Héman: fils de Héman: Boukiyas, Mattanyas, Ouziel, Chebouel, Yérimot, Hananyas, Hanani, Éliata, Giddalti, Romamti-Ézer, Yochbekacha, Maloti, Hotir, Mahaziot.
5 All these were the sons of Heman the seer of the king in the words of God, to lift up the horn: and God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.	5 Ils étaient tous fils de Héman, le devin du roi; ceux-ci jouaient de la trompette quand la parole de Yahvé se faisait entendre. Dieu donna à Héman 14 fils et trois filles,
6 All these under their father's hand were distributed to sing in the temple of the Lord, with cymbals, and psalteries and harps, for the service of the house of the Lord near the king: to wit, Asaph, and Idithun, and Heman.	6 tous chantaient dans la Maison de Yahvé, sous la direction de leur père, accompagnés de cymbales, harpes et lyres: c’était le service qu’ils assuraient dans la Maison de Dieu, sous la direction du roi, d’Asaf, de Yédoutoun et de Héman.
7 And the number of them with their brethren, that taught the song of the Lord, all the teachers, were two hundred and eighty-eight,	7 Leur nombre, en comptant leurs frères qui assuraient avec compétence le chant en l’honneur de Yahvé, était de 288.
8 And they cast lots by their courses, the elder equally with the younger, the learned and the unlearned together.	8 On tira au sort l’ordre que l’on devait respecter, pour les petits comme pour les grands, pour les maîtres comme pour les disciples.
9 And the first lot came forth to Joseph, who was of Asaph. The second to Godolias, to him and his sons, and his brethren twelve.	9 Le premier tiré au sort, pour le clan d’Asaf, fut Yosef. Le second fut Guédalyas, avec ses fils et ses frères: ils étaient douze.
10 The third to Zachur, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	10 Le troisième fut Zakour, avec ses fils et ses frères: ils étaient douze.
11 ,11The fourth to Isari, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	11 Le quatrième fut Yisri, avec ses fils et ses frères: ils étaient douze.
12 The fifth to Nathania, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	12 Le cinquième fut Nétanya, avec ses fils et ses frères: ils étaient douze.
13 The sixth to Bocciau, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	13 Le sixième fut Boukiyas, avec ses fils et ses frères: ils étaient douze.
14 The seventh to Isreela, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	14 Le septième fut Yésarééla, avec ses fils et ses frères: ils étaient douze.
15 The eighth to Jesaia, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	15 Le huitième fut Yéchayas, avec ses fils et ses frères: ils étaient douze.
16 The ninth to Mathanaias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	16 Le neuvième fut Mattanyas, avec ses fils et ses frères: ils étaient douze.
17 The tenth to Semeias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	17 Le dixième fut Chiméï, avec ses fils et ses frères: ils étaient douze.
18 The eleventh to Azareel, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	18 Le onzième fut Azaréel, avec ses fils et ses frères: ils étaient douze.
19 The twelfth to Hasabia, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	19 Le douzième fut Hachabyas, avec ses fils et ses frères: ils étaient douze.
20 The thirteenth to Subael, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	20 Le treizième fut Choubaël, avec ses fils et ses frères: ils étaient douze.
21 The fourteenth to Mathathias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	21 Le quatorzième fut Mattityas, avec ses fils, ses frères: ils étaient douze.
22 The fifteenth to Jerimoth, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	22 Le quinzième fut Yérémot, avec ses fils, ses frères: ils étaient douze.
23 The sixteenth to Hananias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	23 Le seizième fut Hananyas, avec ses fils, ses frères: ils étaient douze.
24 The seventeenth to Jesbacassa, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	24 Le dix-septième fut Yochbekacha, avec ses fils, ses frères: ils étaient douze.
25 The eighteenth to Hanani, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	25 Le dix-huitième fut Hanani, avec ses fils, ses frères: ils étaient douze.
26 The nineteenth to Mellothi, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	26 Le dix-neuvième fut Maloti, avec ses fils, ses frères: ils étaient douze.
27 The twentieth to Eliatha, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	27 Le vingtième fut Élyata, avec ses fils, ses frères: ils étaient douze.
28 The one and twentieth to Othir, to his sons and his brethren twelve.	28 Le vingt et unième fut Hotir, avec ses fils, ses frères: ils étaient douze.
