1 And Solomon built his own house in thirteen years, and brought it to perfection.	1 In seguito Salomone costruì il suo palazzo portandolo a termine in tredici anni.
2 He built also the house of the forest of Libanus, the length of it was a hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty cubits, and the height thirty cubits: and four galleries between pillars of cedar: for he had cut cedar trees into pillars.	2 Costruì il palazzo della Foresta del Libano, lungo cento cubiti, largo cinquanta e alto trenta, a tre serie di colonne di cedro con capitelli di cedro sulle colonne.
3 And he covered the whole vault with boards of cedar, and it was held up with five and forty pillars. And one row had fifteen pillars,	3 Pure di cedro era il soffitto delle camere che sovrastavano le colonne in numero di quarantacinque, quindici per fila.
4 Set one against another,	4 C'erano tre file di finestre che si trovavano dirimpetto per ben tre volte.
5 And looking one upon another, with equal space between the pillars, and over the pillars were square beams inall things equal.	5 Tutte le porte e i vani erano rettangolari e si trovavano dirimpetto per tre volte.
6 And he made a porch of pillars of fifty cubits in length, and thirty cubits in breadth: and another porch before the greater porch: and pillars, and chapiters upon the pillars.	6 Fece pure il vestibolo delle colonne, lungo cinquanta cubiti e largo trenta, con un portico anteriore, a colonne coperte da una tettoia.
7 He made also the porch of the throne, wherein is the seat of judgment: and covered it with cedar wood from the floor to the top.	7 Eresse anche il vestibolo del trono dove amministrava la giustizia, detto perciò sala del giudizio; esso era ricoperto di cedro dal pavimento al soffitto.
8 And in the midst of the porch, was a small house where he sat in judgment, of the like work. He made also a house for the daughter of Pharao (whom Solomon had taken to wife) of the same work, as this porch,	8 La sua abitazione privata, situata nell'altro cortile dietro il vestibolo, era costruita allo stesso modo; simile a questo vestibolo era anche la casa che egli costruì per la figlia del faraone da lui presa in sposa.
9 All of costly stones, which were sawed by a certain rule and measure both within and without: from the foundation to the top of the walls, and without unto the great court.	9 Tutte queste costruzioni erano di pietre scelte, squadrate a misura e tagliate con la sega di dentro e di fuori, dalle fondamenta fino ai cornicioni e dal di fuori fino al cortile maggiore.
10 And the foundations were of costly stones, great stones of ten cubits or eight cubits:	10 Anche le fondamenta erano di pietre scelte, pietre enormi, pietre di dieci e di otto cubiti.
11 And above there were costly stones, or equal measure, hewed; and, in like manner, planks of cedar:	11 Al di sopra c'erano ancora pietre scelte, squadrate a misura, e legname di cedro.
12 And the greater court was made round with three rows of hewed stones, and one row of planks of cedar, moreover also in the inner court of the house of the Lord, and in the porch of the house.	12 Il cortile maggiore aveva intorno tre strati di pietre squadrate e uno strato di tavole di cedro, come il cortile interno del tempio del Signore e il vestibolo del palazzo.
13 And king Solomon sent, and brought Hiram from Tyre,	13 Il re Salomone mandò a prendere Chiram di Tiro.
14 The son of a widow woman of the tribe of Nephtali, whose father was a Tyrian, an artificer in brass, and full of wisdom, and understanding, and skill to work all work in brass. And when he was come to king Solomon, he wrought all his work.	14 Questi era figlio di una vedova della tribù di Neftali, però suo padre era di Tiro e lavorava il bronzo. Egli era dotato di abilità, di intelligenza e di perizia nell'eseguire qualsiasi lavoro in bronzo. Venuto presso il re Salomone, eseguì tutti i suoi lavori.
15 And he cast two pillars in brass, each pillar was eighteen cubits high: and a line of twelve cubits compassed both the pillars.	15 Fuse le due colonne di bronzo; l'altezza di una colonna era di diciotto cubiti, mentre una corda di dodici cubiti ne misurava la circonferenza; lo spessore del bronzo era di quattro dita mentre dentro era vuota; così era pure la seconda colonna.
16 He made also two chapiters of molten brass, to be set upon the tops of the pillars: the height of one chapiter was five cubits, and the height of the other chapiter was five cubits:	16 Fece anche due capitelli di bronzo fuso da porre in cima alle colonne, alti entrambi cinque cubiti.
17 And a kind of network, and chain work wreathed together with wonderful art. Both the chapiters of the pillars were cast : seven rows of nets were on one chapiter, and seven nets on the other chapiter.	17 Fece poi due reti per rivestirne i capitelli che si trovavano in cima alle colonne, una rete per ciascun capitello.
18 And he made the pillars, and two rows round about each network to cover the chapiters, that were upon the top, with pomegranates: and in like manner did he to the other chapiter.	18 Fece anche intorno alla rete due file di melagrane per coprire il capitello che si trovava sopra le colonne; così fece pure per il secondo capitello.
19 And the chapiters that were upon the top of the pillars, were of lily work in the porch, of four cubits.	19 Sui capitelli che si trovavano in cima alle colonne v'era un manufatto in forma di loto; tutto questo nel complesso era alto quattro cubiti.
20 And again other chapiters in the top of the pillars above, according to the measure of the pillar over against the network: and of pomegranates there were two hundred in rows round about the other chapiter.	20 E v'erano capitelli sulle due colonne anche al di sopra, accanto alla sporgenza, che era al di là della rete. E le melagrane erano duecento, disposte in serie all'intorno, sopra il secondo capitello.
21 And he set up the two pillars in the porch of the temple: and when he had set up the pillar on the right hand, he called the name thereof Jachin: in like manner he set up the second pillar, and called the name thereof Booz.	21 Innalzò le colonne davanti al vestibolo del tempio; innalzò la colonna di destra cui diede il nome Iachin e innalzò quella di sinistra che chiamò Boaz.
22 And upon the tops of the pillars he made lily work: so the work of the pillars was finished.	22 In cima alle colonne v'era un manufatto in forma di loto; così terminò il lavoro delle colonne.
23 He made also a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round all about; the height of it was five cubits, and a line of thirty cubits compassed it round about.	23 Fece poi il mare in metallo fuso; da un orlo all'altro misurava dieci cubiti; tutt'intorno era circolare; la sua altezza era di cinque cubiti, mentre una cordicella di trenta cubiti ne misurava la circonferenza.
24 And a graven work under the brim of it compassed it, for ten cubits going about the sea: there were two rows cast of chamfered sculptures.	24 Sotto l'orlo v'era un ornato di rosoni, dieci ogni cubito, che formavano un giro intorno al mare; i rosoni erano in due ordini, fusi insieme al mare.
25 And it stood upon twelve oxen, of which three looked towards the north, and three towards the west, and three towards the south, and three towards the east, and the sea was above upon them, and their hinder parts were all hid within.	25 Questo aveva lo spessore di un palmo e l'orlo come quello di una coppa, a fior di loto. Conteneva duemila bat.
26 And the laver was a handbreadth thick: and the brim thereof was like the brim of a cup, or the leaf of a crisped lily: it contained two thousand bates.	26 Poggiava su dodici buoi di cui tre guardavano a settentrione, tre ad occidente, tre a mezzogiorno e tre ad oriente. Il mare poggiava su di essi e le loro parti posteriori erano rivolte all'interno.
27 And he made ten bases of brass, every base was four cubits in length, and four cubits in breadth, and three cubits high.	27 Fece pure dieci basi di bronzo, lunghe quattro cubiti ognuna, larghe altrettanto e alte tre cubiti.
28 And the work itself of the bases, was intergraven: and there were gravings between the joinings.	28 Questa era la loro forma: avevano dei telai e dei pannelli fra i telai.
29 And between the little crowns and the ledges were lions, and oxen, and cherubims: and in the joinings likewise above: and under the lions and oxen, as it were bands of brass hanging down.	29 Sui pannelli posti tra i telai erano scolpiti leoni, buoi e cherubini, e così pure sui telai; sopra e sotto i leoni e i buoi v'erano motivi a spirale.
30 And every base had four wheels, and axletrees of brass: and at the four sides were undersetters under the laver molten, looking one against another.	30 Ogni base aveva quattro ruote di bronzo, con gli assi anch'essi di bronzo. I suoi quattro piedi avevano delle spallette sotto il bacino e le spallette erano state fuse nella parte interna con ogni motivo a spirale.
31 The mouth also of the laver within, was in the top of the chapiter: and that which appeared without, was of one cubit all round, and together it was one cubit and a half: and in the corners of the pillars were divers engravings: and the spaces between the pillars were square, not round.	31 La sua apertura, all'interno della corona e sopra, era alta un cubito e mezzo, di forma rotonda, fatta come la conca e fornita di sculture; invece i suoi pannelli erano quadrati anziché rotondi.
32 And the four wheels, which were at the four corners of the base, were joined one to another under the base: the height of a wheel was a cubit and a half.	32 Sotto i pannelli c'erano le quattro ruote con i loro assi uniti alla base; l'altezza di ogni ruota era di un cubito e mezzo.
33 And they were such wheels as are used to be made in a chariot: and their axletrees, and spokes, and strakes, and naves, were all east.	33 La forma era come quella delle ruote di un carro; gli assi, i quarti, i raggi e i mozzi erano tutti d'un pezzo.
34 And the four undersetters that were at every corner of each base, were of the base itself cast and joined together.	34 Ai quattro angoli di ogni base v'erano quattro spallette che formavano un solo pezzo con la base.
35 And in the top of the base there was a round compass of half a cubit, so wrought that the laver might be set thereon, having its gravings, and divers sculptures of itself.	35 In cima alla base v'era un supporto alto mezzo cubito, tutt'intorno rotondo; in cima alla base c'erano i suoi manichi e le sue spallette formavano un solo pezzo con essa.
36 He engraved also in those plates, which were of brass. and in the corners, cherubims, and lions, and palm trees, in likeness of a man standing, so that they seemed not to be engraven, but added round about.	36 Scolpì sulle tavole cherubini, leoni e palme secondo lo spazio di ciascuna e, in più, motivi a spirale all'intorno.
37 After this manner he made ten bases, of one casting and measure, and the like graving.	37 In questo modo egli fece le dieci basi, con un'unica fusione, un'unica misura e un'unica forma per tutte.
38 He made also ten lavers of brass: one laver contained four bases, and was of four cubits: and upon every base, in all ten, he put as many lavers.	38 Fece poi le dieci conche di bronzo, ognuna delle quali conteneva quaranta bat, misurava quattro cubiti e poggiava su una delle dieci basi.
39 And he set the ten bases, five on the right side of the temple, and five on the left: and the sea he put on the right side of the temple over against the east southward.	39 Collocò le basi, cinque al lato destro del tempio e cinque a quello sinistro; invece il mare lo pose al lato destro del tempio, rivolto verso sud-est.
40 And Hiram made caldrons, and shovels, and basins, and finished all the work of king Solomon in the temple of the Lord.	40 Chiram fece anche i vasi per la cenere, le palette e le coppe. Così terminò ogni lavoro di cui il re Salomone lo aveva incaricato per il tempio del Signore:
41 The two pillars and the two cords of the chapiters, upon the chapiters of the pillars: and the two networks, to cover the two cords, that were upon the top of the pillars.	41 due colonne; le volute dei capitelli che stavano in cima alle due colonne; le due reti per coprire le due volute che stavano in cima alle colonne;
42 And four hundred pomegranates for the two networks: two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the cords of the chapiters, which were upon the tops of the pillars.	42 le quattrocento melagrane per le due reti; i due ordini di melagrane per ciascuna rete destinati a coprire i due capitelli sferici in cima alle colonne;
43 And the ten bases, and the ten lavers on the bases.	43 le dieci basi e le dieci conche per le basi;
44 And one sea, and twelve oxen under the sea.	44 il mare unico e i dodici buoi che lo sostenevano;
45 And the caldrons, and the shovels, and the basins. All the vessels that Hiram made for king Solomon for the house of the Lord, were of fine brass.	45 i vasi per la cenere, le palette e le coppe. Tutte queste suppellettili, che Chiram aveva fatto al re Salomone per il tempio del Signore, erano di bronzo levigato.
46 In the plains of the Jordan did the king cast them in a clay ground, between Socoth and Sartham.	46 Egli le fuse in modelli di argilla nella regione del Giordano tra Succot e Zartan.
47 And Solomon placed all the vessels: but for exceeding great multitude the brass could not be weighed.	47 Salomone sistemò tutte queste suppellettili; a causa della loro grandissima quantità non si calcolò il peso del bronzo.
48 And Solomon made all the vessels for the house of the Lord: the altar of gold, and the table of gold, upon which the leaves of proposition should be set:	48 Salomone fece preparare tutte le suppellettili che erano nel tempio del Signore: l'altare d'oro, la mensa d'oro su cui si ponevano i pani della presentazione;
49 And the golden candlesticks, five on the right hand, and five on the left, over against the oracle, of pure gold: and the flowers like lilies, and the lamps over them of gold: and golden snuffers,	49 i candelabri in oro fino, cinque a destra e cinque a sinistra davanti alla cella; inoltre i fiori, le lampade e gli smoccolatoi d'oro;
50 And pots, and fleshhooks, and bowls, and mortars, and censers, of most pure gold: and the hinges for the doors of the inner house of the holy of holies, and for the doors of the house of the temple were of gold.	50 le patere, i coltelli, i vassoi, i mortai e gli incensieri d'oro fino. Anche i cardini per i battenti dell'aula erano d'oro.
51 And Solomon finished all the work that he made in the house of the Lord, and brought in the things that David his father had dedicated, the silver and the gold, and the vessels, and laid them up in the treasures of the house of the Lord.	51 Terminati tutti i lavori che aveva fatto fare per il tempio del Signore, Salomone portò i sacri donativi di suo padre Davide, cioè l'argento, l'oro e i vasi, deponendoli fra i tesori del tempio del Signore.
