1 IL Signore parlò ancora a Mosè, nel deserto di Sinai, nel Tabernacolo della convenenza, nel primo giorno del secondo mese, nell’anno secondo da che i figliuoli d’Israele furono usciti fuor del paese di Egitto, dicendo:	1 And the Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the covenant, on the first day of the second month, in the year after their departure from Egypt, saying:
2 Levate la somma di tutta la raunanza de’ figliuoli d’Israele, secondo le lor nazioni, e le famiglie de’ padri loro, contando per nome, a testa a testa, ogni maschio,	2 “Take a total of the entire assembly of the sons of Israel, by their families and houses, and the names of each one, of whomever is of the male sex,
3 di età da vent’anni in su, tutti coloro che possono andare alla guerra in Israele; annoverateli, tu, ed Aaronne, per le loro schiere.	3 from twenty years and above, of all the able-bodied men out of Israel, and you shall number them by their companies, you and Aaron.
4 E siavi con voi un uomo di ciascuna tribù, che sia capo della sua casa paterna.	4 And there shall be with you the leaders of the tribes, as well as of the houses, in their kinships,
5 E questi sono i nomi di coloro che saranno presenti con voi: Di Ruben, Elisur, figliuolo di Sedeur;	5 the names of whom are these: of Ruben, Elizur the son of Shedeur;
6 Di Simeone, Selumiel, figliuolo di Surisaddai;	6 of Simeon, Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai;
7 Di Giuda, Naasson, figliuolo di Amminadab;	7 of Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab;
8 D’Issacar, Natanael, figliuolo di Suar;	8 of Issachar, Nathanael the son of Zuar;
9 Di Zabulon, Eliab, figliuolo di Helon;	9 of Zebulon, Eliab the son of Helon.
10 De’ figliuoli di Giuseppe: di Efraim, Elisama, figliuoli di Ammiud; di Manasse, Gamliel, figliuolo di Pedasur;	10 And from the sons of Joseph: of Ephraim, Elishama the son of Ammihud; of Manasseh, Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur;
11 Di Beniamino, Abidan, figliuolo di Ghidoni;	11 of Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gideoni;
12 Di Dan, Ahiezer, figliuolo di Ammisaddai;	12 of Dan, Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai;
13 Di Aser, Paghiel, figliuolo di Ocran;	13 of Asher, Pagiel the son of Ochran;
14 Di Gad, Eliasaf, figliuolo di Deuel;	14 of Gad, Eliasaph the son of Reuel;
15 Di Neftali, Ahira, figliuolo di Enan.	15 of Naphtali, Ahira the son of Enan.”
16 Costoro erano quelli che si chiamavano alla raunanza, principali delle tribù loro paterne, e capi delle migliaia d’Israele	16 These are the very noble leaders of the multitude, by their tribes and kinships, and the heads of the army of Israel.
17 Mosè adunque ed Aaronne presero seco questi uomini, ch’erano stati nominati per li nomi loro.	17 Moses and Aaron took these, with all the multitude of the common people,
18 E, a’ calendi del secondo mese, adunarono tutta la raunanza; e le generazioni de’ figliuoli d’Israele furono descritte per le lor nazioni, e per le famiglie loro paterne, contandoli per nome dall’età di vent’anni in su, a testa a testa.	18 and they gathered them together on the first day of the second month, taking a census of them by kinships, and houses, and families, and heads, and the names of each one from twenty years and above,
19 Come il Signore avea comandato a Mosè, egli li annoverò nel deserto di Sinai.	19 just as the Lord had instructed Moses. And they were numbered in the desert of Sinai.
20 E delle generazioni de’ figliuoli di Ruben, primogenito d’Israele, per le lor nazioni, e famiglie paterne, contati per nome, a testa a testa, d’infra tutti i maschi, dall’età di vent’anni in su, tutti quelli che potevano andare alla guerra;	20 Of Ruben, the firstborn of Israel, by their generations and families and houses, and the names of each head, of all who were of the male sex, from twenty years and above, capable of going to war,
21 gli annoverati della tribù di Ruben furono quarantaseimila cinquecento.	21 there were forty-six thousand five hundred.
22 Delle generazioni de’ figliuoli di Simeone, per le lor nazioni, e famiglie paterne, contati per nome, a testa a testa, d’infra tutti i maschi, dall’età di vent’anni in su, tutti quelli che potevano andare alla guerra;	22 Of the sons of Simeon, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names and heads of each one, of all who were of the male sex, from twenty years and above, capable of going to war,
23 gli annoverati della tribù di Simeone furono cinquantanovemila trecento.	23 there were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
24 Delle generazioni de’ figliuoli di Gad, per le lor nazioni, e famiglie paterne, contati per nome tutti quelli che potevano andare alla guerra, dall’età di vent’anni in su;	24 Of the sons of Gad, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who could go forth to war,
25 gli annoverati della tribù di Gad furono quarantacinquemila seicencinquanta.	25 there were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.
26 Delle generazioni de’ figliuoli di Giuda, per le lor nazioni, e famiglie paterne, contati per nome tutti quelli che potevano andare alla guerra, dall’età di vent’anni in su;	26 Of the sons of Judah, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
27 gli annoverati della tribù di Giuda furono settantaquattromila seicento.	27 there were counted seventy-four thousand six hundred.
28 Delle generazioni de’ figliuoli d’Issacar, per le lor nazioni, e famiglie paterne, contati per nome tutti quelli che potevano andare alla guerra, dall’età di vent’anni in su;	28 Of the sons of Issachar, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who could go forth to war,
29 gli annoverati della tribù d’Issacar furono cinquantaquattromila quattrocento.	29 there were counted fifty-four thousand four hundred.
30 Delle generazioni de’ figliuoli di Zabulon, per le lor nazioni, e famiglie paterne, contati per nome tutti quelli che potevano andare alla guerra, dall’età di vent’anni in su;	30 Of the sons of Zebulon, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
31 gli annoverati della tribù di Zabulon furono cinquantasettemila quattrocento.	31 there were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.
32 De’ figliuoli di Giuseppe; delle generazioni de’ figliuoli di Efraim, per le lor nazioni, e famiglie paterne, contati per nome tutti quelli che potevano andare alla guerra, dall’età di vent’anni in su;	32 From the sons of Joseph, of the sons of Ephraim, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
33 gli annoverati della tribù di Efraim furono quarantamila cinquecento.	33 there were forty thousand five hundred.
34 Delle generazioni de’ figliuoli di Manasse, per le lor nazioni, e famiglie paterne, contati per nome tutti quelli che potevano andare alla guerra, dall’età di vent’anni in su;	34 Furthermore, of the sons of Manasseh, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
35 gli annoverati della tribù di Manasse furono trentaduemila dugento.	35 there were thirty-two thousand two hundred.
36 Delle generazioni de’ figliuoli di Beniaminio, per le lor nazioni, e famiglie paterne, contati per nome tutti quelli che potevano andare alla guerra, dall’età di vent’anni in su;	36 Of the sons of Benjamin, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
37 gli annoverati della tribù di Beniamino furono trentacinquemila quattrocento.	37 there were thirty-five thousand four hundred.
38 Delle generazioni de’ figliuoli di Dan, per le lor nazioni, e famiglie paterne, contati per nome tutti quelli che potevano andare alla guerra, dall’età di vent’anni in su;	38 Of the sons of Dan, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
39 gli annoverati della tribù di Dan furono sessantaduemila settecento.	39 there were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
40 Delle generazioni de’ figliuoli di Aser, per le lor nazioni, e famiglie paterne; contati per nome tutti quelli che potevano andare alla guerra, dall’età di vent’anni in su;	40 Of the sons of Asher, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
41 gli annoverati della tribù di Aser furono quarantunmila cinquecento.	41 there were forty thousand and one thousand five hundred.
42 Delle generazioni de’ figliuoli di Neftali, per le lor nazioni, e famiglie paterne, contati per nome tutti quelli che potevano andare alla guerra, dall’età di vent’anni in su;	42 Of the sons of Naphtali, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
43 gli annoverati della tribù di Neftali furono cinquantatremila quattrocento	43 there were fifty-three thousand four hundred.
44 Questi furono gli annoverati, i quali Mosè ed Aaronne annoverarono, insieme co’ principali d’Israele, ch’erano dodici uomini, uno per famiglia paterna.	44 These are the ones who were numbered by Moses and Aaron and the twelve leaders of Israel, each one by the houses of their kinships.
45 Così, tutti gli annoverati d’infra i figliuoli d’Israele, per le lor famiglie paterne, dall’età di vent’anni in su, che potevano andare alla guerra,	45 And the entire number of the sons of Israel by their houses and families, from twenty years and above, who were able to go forth to war, were
46 furono seicentotremila cinquecencinquanta	46 six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty men.
47 Ma i Leviti non furono annoverati fra loro secondo la lor tribù paterna;	47 But the Levites in the tribes of their families were not numbered with them.
48 perciocchè il Signore avea detto a Mosè:	48 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
49 Sol non annoverar la tribù di Levi, e non levarne la somma per mezzo i figliuoli d’Israele.	49 “Do not number the tribe of Levi, neither shall you take a total of them with the sons of Israel.
50 Ma ordina i Leviti sopra il Tabernacolo della Testimonianza, e sopra tutti i suoi arredi; e sopra tutte le cose ad esso appartenenti; e portino essi il Tabernacolo e tutti i suoi arredi; e facciano i servigi di esso, e accampinvisi attorno.	50 But appoint them over the tabernacle of the testimony, and all its vessels, and whatever pertains to the ceremonies. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its articles. And they shall be for the ministry, and they shall encamp all around the tabernacle.
51 E quando il Tabernacolo si dipartirà, mettanlo giù i Leviti; quando altresì si accamperà, rizzinlo i Leviti; e se alcuno straniere vi si appressa, sia fatto morire.	51 When you would depart, the Levites shall take down the tabernacle. When you are to make camp, they shall set it up. Any outsider who will approach it shall be killed.
52 Or accampinsi i figliuoli d’Israele, ciascuno nel suo quartiere, e ciascuno presso alla sua bandiera, per le loro schiere.	52 Now the sons of Israel shall make camp, each one by his companies and bands, as well as his army.
53 Ma accampinsi i Leviti intorno al Tabernacolo della Testimonianza; acciocchè non vi sia ira contro alla raunanza de’ figliuoli d’Israele; e facciano i Leviti la funzione del Tabernacolo della Testimonianza.	53 Moreover, the Levites shall fix their tents all around the tabernacle, lest there be an indignation over the multitude of the sons of Israel. And they shall stand watch as guardians over the tabernacle of the testimony.”
54 E i figliuoli d’Israele fecero interamente come il Signore avea comandato	54 Therefore, the sons of Israel acted according to everything that the Lord had instructed Moses.
