1 'Canto delle ascensioni.' Nella mia angoscia ho gridato al Signore ed egli mi ha risposto.	1 In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.
2 Signore, libera la mia vita dalle labbra di menzogna, dalla lingua ingannatrice.	2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
3 Che ti posso dare, come ripagarti, lingua ingannatrice?	3 What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?
4 Frecce acute di un prode, con carboni di ginepro.	4 Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
5 Me infelice: abito straniero in Mosoch, dimoro fra le tende di Cedar!	5 Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
6 Troppo io ho dimorato con chi detesta la pace.	6 My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.
7 Io sono per la pace, ma quando ne parlo, essi vogliono la guerra.	7 I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
