Jonás 2

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 El Señor hizo que un gran pez se tragara a Jonás, y este permaneció en el vientre el pez tres días y tres noches.	1 Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly,
2 Entonces Jonás oró al Señor, su Dios, desde el vientre del pez,	2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
3 diciendo: «Desde mi angustia invoqué al Señor, y él me respondió; desde el seno del Abismo, pedí auxilio, y tú escuchaste mi voz.	3 For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
4 Tú me arrojaste a lo más profundo, al medio del mar: la corriente me envolvía, ¡todos tus torrentes y tus olas pasaron sobre mí!	4 Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.
5 Entonces dije: He sido arrojado lejos de tus ojos, pero yo seguiré mirando hacia tu santo Templo.	5 The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
6 Las aguas me rodeaban hasta la garganta y el Abismo me cercaba; las algas se enredaban en mi cabeza.	6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.
7 Yo bajé hasta las raíces de las montañas: sobre mí se cerraron para siempre los cerrojos de la tierra; pero tú me hiciste subir vivo de la Fosa, Señor, Dios mío.	7 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.
8 Cuando mi alma desfallecía, me acordé del Señor, y mi oración llegó hasta ti, hasta tu santo Templo.	8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
9 Los que veneran ídolos vanos abandonan su fidelidad,	9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.
10 pero yo, en acción de gracias, te ofreceré sacrificios y cumpliré mis votos: ¡La salvación viene del Señor!».	10 And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
11 Entonces el Señor dio una orden al pez, y este arrojó a Jonás sobre la tierra firme.
