1 El Señor le respondió: «¡Ahora verás lo que haré al Faraón! Tendrá que dejarlos partir por la fuerza, e incluso, se verá obligado a expulsarlos de su país».	1 Then the LORD answered Moses, "Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh. Forced by my mighty hand, he will send them away; compelled by my outstretched arm, he will drive them from his land."
2 Dios habló a Moisés y le dijo: «Yo soy el Señor.	2 God also said to Moses, "I am the LORD.
3 Yo me aparecí a Abraham, a Isaac y a Jacob como el Dios Todopoderoso, pero no me di a conocer a ellos con mi nombre «el Señor».	3 As God the Almighty I appeared to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but my name, LORD, I did not make known to them.
4 También establecí mi alianza con ellos, para darles la tierra de Canaán, esa tierra donde ellos residieron como extranjeros.	4 I also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land in which they were living as aliens.
5 Y cuando escuché los gemidos de los israelitas, esclavizados por los egipcios, me acordé de mi alianza.	5 And now that I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians are treating as slaves, I am mindful of my covenant.
6 Por eso, anuncia esto a los israelitas» Yo soy el Señor. Yo los libraré de los trabajos forzados que les imponen los egipcios, los salvaré de la esclavitud a que ellos los someten, y los rescataré con el poder de mi brazo, infligiendo severos y justos castigos.	6 Therefore, say to the Israelites: I am the LORD. I will free you from the forced labor of the Egyptians and will deliver you from their slavery. I will rescue you by my outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment.
7 Haré de ustedes mi Pueblo y yo seré su Dios. Así tendrán que reconocer que soy yo, el Señor, el que los libró de los trabajos forzados de Egipto.	7 I will take you as my own people, and you shall have me as your God. You will know that I, the LORD, am your God when I free you from the labor of the Egyptians
8 Después los introduciré en la tierra que juré dar a Abraham, a Isaac y a Jacob, y se la daré en posesión. Yo soy el Señor.	8 and bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I will give it to you as your own possession--I, the LORD!"
9 Moisés refirió estas palabras a los israelitas, pero ellos no quisieron escucharlo, porque estaban desalentados a causa de la dura servidumbre.	9 But when Moses told this to the Israelites, they would not listen to him because of their dejection and hard slavery.
10 Entonces el Señor dijo a Moisés:	10 Then the LORD said to Moses,
11 «Preséntate al Faraón, el rey de Egipto, y dile que deje partir de su país a los israelitas».	11 "Go and tell Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to let the Israelites leave his land."
12 Moisés se excusó ante el Señor, diciendo: «Si los israelitas no quisieron escucharme, ¿cómo me va a escuchar el Faraón, a mí que no tengo facilidad de palabra?».	12 But Moses protested to the LORD, "If the Israelites would not listen to me, how can it be that Pharaoh will listen to me, poor speaker that I am!"
13 Pero el Señor habló a Moisés y a Aarón, y les dio órdenes para los israelitas y para el Faraón, rey de Egipto, a fin de hacer salir de Egipto a los israelitas.	13 Still, the LORD, to bring the Israelites out of Egypt, spoke to Moses and Aaron and gave them his orders regarding both the Israelites and Pharaoh, king of Egypt.
14 Los jefes de las familias de Israel fueron los siguientes: Los hijos de Rubén, el primogénito de Israel, fueron Henoc, Palú, Jesrón y Carmí. Estos son los clanes de Rubén.	14 These are the heads of the ancestral houses. The sons of Reuben, the first-born of Israel, were Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron and Carmi; these are the clans of Reuben.
15 Los hijos de Simeón fueron Iemuel, Iamín, Ohad, Iaquín, Sójar y Saúl, el hijo de la cananea. Estos son los clanes de Simeón.	15 The sons of Simeon were Jenuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar and Shaul, who was the son of a Canaanite woman; these are the clans of Simeon.
16 Los nombres de los hijos de Leví, con sus descendientes, fueron estos: Gersón, Quehat y Merarí. Leví vivió ciento treinta y siete años.	16 The names of the sons of Levi, in their genealogical order, are Gershon, Kohath and Merari. Levi lived one hundred and thirty-seven years.
17 Los hijos de Gersón fueron Libní y Simei con sus clanes.	17 The sons of Gershon, as heads of clans, were Libni and Shimei.
18 Los hijos de Quehat fueron Amram, Isar, Hebrón y Uziel. Quehat vivió ciento treinta y tres años.	18 The sons of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel. Kohath lived one hundred and thirty-three years.
19 Los hijos de Merarí fueron Majlí y Musí. Estos son los clanes de Leví con sus descendientes.	19 The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of Levi in their genealogical order.
20 Amram se casó con Ioquébed, su tía, y de ella le nacieron Aarón y Moisés. Amram vivió ciento treinta y siete años.	20 Amram married his aunt Jochebed, who bore him Aaron, Moses and Miriam. Amram lived one hundred and thirty-seven years.
21 Los hijos de Isar fueron Coré, Néfeg y Zicrí;	21 The sons of Izhar were Korah, Nepheg and Zichri.
22 y los hijos de Uziel, fueron Misael, Elsafán y Sitrí.	22 The sons of Uzziel were Mishael, Elzaphan and Sithri.
23 Aarón se casó con Eliseba, hija de Aminadab y hermana de Najsón; de ella le nacieron Nadab, Abihú, Eleazar e Itamar.	23 Aaron married Amminadab's daughter, Elisheba, the sister of Nahshon; she bore him Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
24 Los hijos de Coré fueron Asir, Elcaná y Abiasaf. Estos son los clanes de los coreítas.	24 The sons of Korah were Assir, Elkanah and Abiasaph. These are the clans of the Korahites.
25 Eleazar, hijo de Aarón, se casó con una de las hijas de Putiel, que fue madre de Pinjás. Estos son los jefes de las familias levíticas, con sus respectivos clanes.	25 Aaron's son, Eleazar, married one of Putiel's daughters, who bore him Phinehas. These are the heads of the ancestral clans of the Levites.
26 Moisés y Aarón son los mismos que recibieron del Señor la orden de sacar de Egipto a los israelitas, distribuidos en grupos.	26 This is the Aaron and this the Moses to whom the LORD said, "Lead the Israelites from the land of Egypt, company by company."
27 Ellos fueron los que hablaron al Faraón, el rey de Egipto, para hacer salir a los israelitas. Son los mismos Moisés y Aarón.	27 These are the ones who spoke to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to bring the Israelites out of Egypt--the same Moses and Aaron.
28 El día en que el Señor habló a Moisés en Egipto,	28 On the day the LORD spoke to Moses in Egypt
29 les dijo: «Yo soy el Señor. Repite al Faraón, el rey de Egipto, todo lo que yo te diga».	29 he said, "I am the LORD. Repeat to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, all that I tell you."
30 Pero Moisés puso al Señor este pretexto: «Yo tengo dificultad para hablar. ¿Cómo me va a escuchar el Faraón?	30 But Moses protested to the LORD, "Since I am a poor speaker, how can it be that Pharaoh will listen to me?"
