1 Así pues, si habéis resucitado con Cristo, buscad las cosas de arriba, donde está Cristo sentado a la diestra de Dios.	1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
2 Aspirad a las cosas de arriba, no a las de la tierra.	2 Think of what is above, not of what is on earth.
3 Porque habéis muerto, y vuestra vida está oculta con Cristo en Dios.	3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 Cuando aparezca Cristo, vida vuestra, entonces también vosotros apareceréis gloriosos con él.	4 When Christ your life appears, then you too will appear with him in glory.
5 Por tanto, mortificad vuestros miembros terrenos: fornicación, impureza, pasiones, malos deseos y la codicia, que es una idolatría,	5 Put to death, then, the parts of you that are earthly: immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and the greed that is idolatry.
6 todo lo cual atrae la cólera de Dios sobre los rebeldes,	6 Because of these the wrath of God is coming (upon the disobedient).
7 y que también vosotros practicasteis en otro tiempo, cuando vivíais entre ellas.	7 By these you too once conducted yourselves, when you lived in that way.
8 Mas ahora, desechad también vosotros todo esto: cólera, ira, maldad, maledicencia y palabras groseras, lejos de vuestra boca.	8 But now you must put them all away: anger, fury, malice, slander, and obscene language out of your mouths.
9 No os mintáis unos a otros. Despojaos del hombre viejo con sus obras,	9 Stop lying to one another, since you have taken off the old self with its practices
10 y revestíos del hombre nuevo, que se va renovando hasta alcanzar un conocimiento pefecto, según la imagen de su Creador,	10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed, for knowledge, in the image of its creator.
11 donde no hay griego y judío; circuncisión e incircuncisión; bárbaro, escita, esclavo, libre, sino que Cristo es todo y en todos.	11 Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all and in all.
12 Revestíos, pues, como elegidos de Dios, santos y amados, de entrañas de misericordia, de bondad, humildad, mansedumbre, paciencia,	12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,
13 soportándoos unos a otros y perdonándoos mutuamente, si alguno tiene queja contra otro. Como el Señor os perdonó, perdonaos también vosotros.	13 bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if one has a grievance against another; as the Lord has forgiven you, so must you also do.
14 Y por encima de todo esto, revestíos del amor, que es el vínculo de la perfección.	14 And over all these put on love, that is, the bond of perfection.
15 Y que la paz de Cristo presida vuestros corazones, pues a ella habéis sido llamados formando un solo Cuerpo. Y sed agradecidos.	15 And let the peace of Christ control your hearts, the peace into which you were also called in one body. And be thankful.
16 La palabra de Cristo habite en vosotros con toda su riqueza; instruíos y amonestaos con toda sabiduría, cantad agradecidos, himnos y cánticos inspirados,	16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
17 y todo cuanto hagáis, de palabra y de boca, hacedlo todo en el nombre del Señor Jesús, dando gracias por su medio a Dios Padre.	17 And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
18 Mujeres, sed sumisas a vuestros maridos, como conviene en el Señor.	18 Wives, be subordinate to your husbands, as is proper in the Lord.
19 Maridos, amad a vuestras mujeres, y no seáis ásperos con ellas.	19 Husbands, love your wives, and avoid any bitterness toward them.
20 Hijos, obedeced en todo a vuestros padres, porque esto es grato a Dios en el Señor.	20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.
21 Padres, no exasperéis a vuestros hijos, no sea que se vuelvan apocados.	21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, so they may not become discouraged.
22 Esclavos, obedeced en todo a vuestros amos de este mundo, no porque os vean, como quien busca agradar a los hombres; sino con sencillez de corazón, en el temor del Señor.	22 Slaves, obey your human masters in everything, not only when being watched, as currying favor, but in simplicity of heart, fearing the Lord.
23 Todo cuanto hagáis, hacedlo de corazón, como para el Señor y no para los hombres,	23 Whatever you do, do from the heart, as for the Lord and not for others,
24 conscientes de que el Señor os dará la herencia en recompensa. El Amo a quien servís es Cristo.	24 knowing that you will receive from the Lord the due payment of the inheritance; be slaves of the Lord Christ.
25 El que obre la injusticia, recibirá conforme a esa injusticia; que no hay acepción de personas.	25 For the wrongdoer will receive recompense for the wrong he committed, and there is no partiality.
