Ezequiel 2

BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Me dijo: «Hijo de hombre, ponte en pie, que voy a hablarte».	1 He said, 'Son of man, get to your feet; I wil speak to you.'
2 El espíritu entró en mí como se me había dicho y me hizo tenerme en pie; y oí al que me hablaba.	2 As he said these words the spirit came into me and put me on my feet, and I heard him speaking to me.
3 Me dijo: «Hijo de hombre, yo te envío a los israelitas, a la nación de los rebeldes, que se han rebelado contra mí. Ellos y sus padres me han sido contumaces hasta este mismo día.	3 He said, 'Son of man, I am sending you to the Israelites, to the rebels who have rebel ed against me.They and their ancestors have been in revolt against me up to the present day.
4 Los hijos tienen la cabeza dura y el corazón empedernido; hacia ellos te envío para decirles: Así dice el señor Yahveh.	4 Because they are stubborn and obstinate children, I am sending you to them, to say, "Lord Yahwehsays this."
5 Y ellos, escuchen o no escuchen, ya que son una casa de rebeldía, sabrán que hay un profeta en medio de ellos.	5 Whether they listen or not, this tribe of rebels will know there is a prophet among them.
6 Y tú, hijo de hombre, no les tengas miedo, no tengas miedo de sus palabras si te contradicen y te desprecian y si te ves sentado sobre escorpiones. No tengas miedo de sus palabras, no te asustes de ellos, porque son una casa de rebeldía.	6 And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or of what they say, though you find yourself surroundedwith brambles and sitting on scorpions. Do not be afraid of their words or alarmed by their looks, for they are atribe of rebels.
7 Les comunicarás mis palabras, escuchen o no escuchen, porque son una casa de rebeldía.	7 You are to deliver my words to them whether they listen or not, for they are a tribe of rebels.
8 «Y tú, hijo de hombre, esucha lo que voy a decirte, no seas rebelde como esa casa de rebeldía. Abre la boca y come lo que te voy a dar».	8 But you, son of man, are to listen to what I say to you; do not be a rebel like that rebellious tribe. Openyour mouth and eat what I am about to give you.'
9 Yo miré: vi una mano que estaba tendida hacia mí, y tenía dentro un libro enrollado.	9 When I looked, there was a hand stretch- ing out to me, holding a scrol .
10 Lo desenrolló ante mi vista: estaba escrito por el anverso y por el reverso; había escrito: «Lamentaciones, gemidos y ayes».	10 He un- rol ed it in front of me; it was written on, front and back; on it was written 'Lamentations, dirgesand cries of grief '.
