1 Parole de Yahvé qui fut adressée à Osée, fils de Bééri, au temps d’Osias, de Yotam, d’Akaz et d’Ézékias, rois de Juda, et durant le règne de Jéroboam, fils de Joas, roi d’Israël.	1 The word of the LORD that came to Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam, son of Joash, king of Israel.
2 Lorsque Yahvé commença de parler par l’intermédiaire d’Osée, il lui dit: “Va, prends une femme qui se prostitue et qu’elle te donne des enfants nés de la prostitution, car le pays ne fait que se prostituer en se détournant de Yahvé.”	2 In the beginning of the LORD'S speaking to Hosea, the LORD said to Hosea: Go, take a harlot wife and harlot's children, for the land gives itself to harlotry, turning away from the LORD.
3 Il alla donc prendre Gomer, fille de Diblayim. Elle conçut et lui enfanta un fils.	3 So he went and took Gomer, the daughter of Diblaim; and she conceived and bore him a son.
4 Yahvé lui dit: “Appelle-le Yizréel, car encore un peu de temps et je punirai la maison de Jéhu, à cause du sang versé à Yizréel; je mettrai fin à la royauté de la maison d’Israël.	4 Then the LORD said to him: Give him the name Jezreel, for in a little while I will punish the house of Jehu for the bloodshed at Jezreel And bring to an end the kingdom of the house of Israel;
5 En ce jour-là, je briserai l’arc d’Israël dans la vallée d’Yizréel.”	5 On that day I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.
6 Elle conçut encore et enfanta une fille; Yahvé dit à Osée: “Appelle-la Lo-Rouhamah, car désormais je n’aurai plus pitié de la maison d’Israël; je ne lui pardonnerai plus.	6 When she conceived again and bore a daughter, the LORD said to him: Give her the name Lo-ruhama; I no longer feel pity for the house of Israel: rather, I abhor them utterly.
7 Mais j’aurai pitié de la maison de Juda et je les délivrerai par Yahvé leur Dieu; pour les sauver je n’aurai pas besoin de l’arc, ni de l’épée, ni de la guerre, ni des chevaux, ni des cavaliers.”	7 Yet for the house of Judah I feel pity; I will save them by the LORD, their God; But I will not save them by war, by sword or bow, by horses or horsemen.
8 Elle sevra Lo-Rouhamah. Elle conçut encore et enfanta un fils.	8 After she weaned Lo-ruhama, she conceived and bore a son.
9 Yahvé dit: “Appelle-le Lo-Ammi, car vous n’êtes plus mon peuple et moi, pour vous, Je ne Suis plus.”	9 Then the LORD said: Give him the name Lo-ammi, for you are not my people, and I will not be your God.
