1 Oracle contre le désert proche de la mer: Cela vient du désert, d’une terre redoutable, comme un ouragan traversant le Négueb.	1 Oracle on the wastelands by the sea: Like whirlwinds sweeping in waves through the Negeb, there comes from the desert, from the fearful land,

7 S’il voit un char, des cavaliers deux à deux, des hommes montés sur des ânes, des hommes montés sur des chameaux, qu’il fasse attention, très attention!”	7 If he sees a chariot, a pair of horses, Someone riding an ass, someone riding a camel, Then let him pay heed, very close heed.
8 Et puis le guetteur a crié: “Seigneur, je me tiens tout le jour sur la tour de guet, toute la nuit je suis debout et je monte la garde.	8 Then the watchman cried, "On the watchtower, O my Lord, I stand constantly by day; And I stay at my post through all the watches of the night.
9 Voici une troupe montée et des cavaliers deux à deux.” Le guetteur a repris: “Elle est tombée, Babylone, elle est tombée avec les statues de ses dieux! Il les a toutes brisées à terre.”	9 Here he comes now: a single chariot, a pair of horses; He calls out and says, 'Fallen, fallen is Babylon, And all the images of her gods are smashed to the ground.'"

11 Oracle contre Douma: Depuis Séïr on me crie: “Guetteur, où en est la nuit? Guetteur où en la nuit?”	11 Oracle on Edom: They call to me from Seir, "Watchman, how much longer the night? Watchman, how much longer the night?"
12 Le guetteur a répondu: “Le matin vient mais aussi la nuit. Si vous voulez interroger, interrogez: revenez une autre fois!”	12 The watchman replies, "Morning has come, and again night. If you will ask, ask; come back again."
13 Oracle contre l’Arabie: Dans les steppes d’Arabie vous passez la nuit, caravanes des Dédanites.	13 Oracle on Arabia: In the thicket in the nomad country spend the night, O caravans of Dedanites.
14 Allez au-devant des assoiffés, apportez-leur de l’eau, habitants du pays de Téma! Allez avec du pain au-devant des fugitifs!	14 Meet the thirsty, bring them water; you who dwell in the land of Tema, greet the fugitives with bread.

16 Voici ce que le Seigneur m’a dit: “Encore une année comme on compte celle d’un salarié, et toute la gloire de Kédar aura disparu;	16 For thus says the Lord to me: In another year, like those of a hireling, all the glory of Kedar shall come to an end.
17 il ne restera que peu de chose des vaillants archers de Kédar: Yahvé, le Dieu d’Israël a parlé.	17 Few of Kedar's stalwart archers shall remain, for the LORD, the God of Israel, has spoken.
