1 Pour faire la Demeure, tu prendras 10 tentures de lin fin, de pourpre violette et de pourpre rouge, et de tissus teints en rouge foncé, et tu les broderas de chérubins.	1 "The Dwelling itself you shall make out of sheets woven of fine linen twined and of violet, purple and scarlet yarn, with cherubim embroidered on them.
2 La longueur d’une tenture sera de 28 coudées, sa largeur de quatre coudées. Toutes les tentures auront la même dimension.	2 The length of each shall be twenty-eight cubits, and the width four cubits; all the sheets shall be of the same size.
3 Les tentures seront attachées cinq par cinq.	3 Five of the sheets are to be sewed together, edge to edge; and the same for the other five.
4 Tu feras des cordons en pourpre violette sur le bord de la première tenture, près de l’attache, et tu feras de même sur le bord de la tenture qui lui fait face.	4 Make loops of violet yarn along the edge of the end sheet in one set, and the same along the edge of the end sheet in the other set.
5 Tu feras cinq cordons à la première tenture, et cinq cordons à la tenture qui lui fait face. Les cordons se feront face l’un à l’autre.	5 There are to be fifty loops along the edge of the end sheet in the first set, and fifty loops along the edge of the corresponding sheet in the second set, and so placed that the loops are directly opposite each other.
6 Tu feras cinq agrafes d’or et tu attacheras les tentures par ces agrafes. Ainsi, la demeure ne fera qu’un seul tout.	6 Then make fifty clasps of gold, with which to join the two sets of sheets, so that the Dwelling forms one whole.
7 Tu feras également des tentures en poils de chèvres pour couvrir la demeure. Il y en aura onze.	7 "Also make sheets woven of goat hair, to be used as a tent covering over the Dwelling.
8 La longueur d’une tenture sera de 30 coudées, sa largeur de quatre coudées. Les onze tentures auront la même dimension.	8 Eleven such sheets are to be made; the length of each shall be thirty cubits, and the width four cubits: all eleven sheets shall be of the same size.
9 Tu attacheras séparément cinq tentures d’un côté, et six tentures de l’autre. Tu doubleras la sixième tenture qui se trouve devant l’entrée de la demeure.	9 Sew five of the sheets, edge to edge, into one set, and the other six sheets into another set. Use the sixth sheet double at the front of the tent.
10 Ensuite, tu feras 50 cordons au bord de la première tenture; ils s’attacheront aux 50 cordons de l’autre tenture.	10 Make fifty loops along the edge of the end sheet in one set, and fifty loops along the edge of the end sheet in the second set.
11 Tu feras 50 agrafes de bronze et tu passeras les agrafes dans les cordons. Ainsi tu monteras la demeure pour qu’elle ne fasse qu’un seul ensemble.	11 Also make fifty bronze clasps and put them into the loops, to join the tent into one whole.
12 On laissera dépasser derrière la demeure ce qu’il y a de trop dans les tentures, et on le repliera en deux.	12 There will be an extra half sheet of tent covering, which shall be allowed to hang down over the rear of the Dwelling.
13 On laissera dépasser sur les côtés de la demeure, pour la protéger, la coudée qui est en trop dans la longueur des tentures.	13 Likewise, the sheets of the tent will have an extra cubit's length to be left hanging down on either side of the Dwelling to protect it.
14 Pour couvrir la demeure, tu feras une couverture en peaux de béliers teintes en rouge et une couverture en peau de poisson par-dessus.	14 Over the tent itself you shall make a covering of rams' skins dyed red, and above that, a covering of tahash skins.
15 Les planches de la demeure seront en bois d’acacia.	15 "You shall make boards of acacia wood as walls for the Dwelling.
16 Chaque planche aura 10 coudées de long, et une coudée et demie de large.	16 The length of each board is to be ten cubits, and its width one and a half cubits.
17 Chaque planche portera deux tenons, l’un à côté de l’autre. C’est ainsi que tu feras toutes les planches de la demeure.	17 Each board shall have two arms that shall serve to fasten the boards in line. In this way all the boards of the Dwelling are to be made.
18 Tu monteras les planches de la demeure: d’abord les 20 planches tournées vers le sud.	18 Set up the boards of the Dwelling as follows: twenty boards on the south side,
19 Tu feras 40 supports en argent pour ces planches, et il y aura un support pour chacun des tenons de chacune des planches.	19 with forty silver pedestals under the twenty boards, so that there are two pedestals under each board, at its two arms;
20 Pour le second côté de la demeure, le côté qui est tourné vers le nord, tu feras 20 planches,	20 twenty boards on the other side of the Dwelling, the north side,
21 avec leurs 40 supports en argent, deux supports sous chacune des planches.	21 with their forty silver pedestals, two under each board;
22 Pour l’arrière de la demeure qui est tourné vers l’ouest, tu feras six planches.	22 six boards for the rear of the Dwelling, to the west;
23 Tu feras également deux planches pour les angles de la demeure à l’arrière.	23 and two boards for the corners at the rear of the Dwelling.
24 Elles seront placées côte à côte, de bas en haut, à la hauteur du premier anneau. On fera cela pour les deux angles.	24 These two shall be double at the bottom, and likewise double at the top, to the first ring. That is how both boards in the corners are to be made.
25 Il y aura donc huit planches avec leurs supports en argent, ce qui fera 16 supports, deux pour chaque planche.	25 Thus, there shall be in the rear eight boards, with their sixteen silver pedestals, two pedestals under each board.
26 Tu feras aussi des traverses en bois d’acacia, cinq pour les planches qui sont d’un côté de la demeure,	26 Also make bars of acacia wood: five for the boards on one side of the Dwelling,
27 et cinq traverses pour les planches qui sont de l’autre côté de la demeure, cinq traverses encore pour les planches de l’arrière de la demeure, à l’ouest.	27 five for those on the other side, and five for those at the rear, toward the west.
28 La traverse médiane qui unit les planches ira de bout en bout.	28 The center bar, at the middle of the boards, shall reach across from end to end.
29 Tu recouvriras d’or les planches et les traverses et tu feras des anneaux d’or pour passer les traverses.	29 Plate the boards with gold, and make gold rings on them as holders for the bars, which are also to be plated with gold.
30 Tu feras donc la demeure selon le plan qui t’a été montré sur la montagne.	30 You shall erect the Dwelling according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.
31 Pour le rideau il te faudra de la pourpre violette et de la pourpre rouge, des étoffes rouge sombre et du lin fin. Il sera brodé de chérubins.	31 "You shall have a veil woven of violet, purple and scarlet yarn, and of fine linen twined, with cherubim embroidered on it.
32 Tu le fixeras à quatre colonnes d’acacia recouvertes d’or, qui porteront des crochets en or et posées sur quatre bases d’argent.	32 It is to be hung on four gold-plated columns of acacia wood, which shall have hooks of gold and shall rest on four silver pedestals.
33 Tu attacheras le rideau aux agrafes d’or et, derrière le rideau, tu placeras l’Arche du Témoignage. Le rideau servira de séparation entre le Saint et le Saint des Saints.	33 Hang the veil from clasps. The ark of the commandments you shall bring inside, behind this veil which divides the holy place from the holy of holies.
34 Tu placeras l’Instrument de l’Expiation sur l’Arche du Témoignage, dans le Saint des Saints.	34 Set the propitiatory on the ark of the commandments in the holy of holies.
35 Tu mettras la table à l’extérieur du rideau, tu placeras le chandelier en face de la table, sur le côté sud de la demeure, la table étant du côté nord.	35 "Outside the veil you shall place the table and the lampstand, the latter on the south side of the Dwelling, opposite the table, which is to be put on the north side.
36 Puis, tu feras une tenture à l’entrée de la demeure. Elle sera en pourpre violette et en pourpre rouge, en tissu teint en rouge foncé et en lin fin; elle sera brodée.	36 For the entrance of the tent make a variegated curtain of violet, purple and scarlet yarn and of fine linen twined.
37 Tu feras cinq colonnes d’acacia recouvertes d’or pour porter la tenture, les bases en seront de bronze et les crochets d’or.	37 Make five columns of acacia wood for this curtain; have them plated with gold, with their hooks of gold; and cast five bronze pedestals for them.
