1 Il fit un autel de bronze de 20 coudées de long, 20 coudées de large et 10 de haut.	1 He made a bronze altar, twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide and ten cubits high.
2 Il fit la Mer en fonte, elle faisait 10 coudées de bord à bord et cinq de haut; une corde de 30 coudées en aurait fait le tour.	2 He made the Sea of cast metal, ten cubits from rim to rim, circular in shape and five cubits high; a cordthirty cubits long gave the measurement of its girth.
3 Des coloquintes la bordaient tout autour, il y en avait 10 par coudée: elles encerclaient la Mer. Il y avait deux rangées de coloquintes venues de fonte.	3 Under it and completely encircling it were things like oxen, ten to the cubit round the entire Sea; theoxen were in two rows, of one and the same casting with the rest.
4 La Mer était posée sur 12 bœufs, trois tournés vers le nord, trois vers l’ouest, trois vers le sud, trois vers l’est; ils étaient tournés vers l’extérieur et portaient la Mer sur leur dos.	4 It rested on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, three facing east; onthese, their hindquarters al turned inwards, stood the Sea.
5 Elle avait la largeur d’une main et son bord était façonné comme le bord d’une coupe, comme une fleur; elle pouvait contenir 3 000 mesures.	5 It was a hand's breadth in thickness, and its rim was shaped like the rim of a cup-lily-shaped. It couldhold three thousand bat.
6 Il fit 10 bassins: cinq à droite et cinq à gauche. Ils servaient pour les purifications: on y lavait ce qui servait pour l’holocauste, mais les prêtres se purifiaient dans la Mer.	6 He made ten basins, putting five on the right and five on the left, for washing in; the things to be offeredas burnt offerings were to be rinsed in these, but the Sea was for the priests to wash in.
7 Il fit les 10 chandeliers dorés selon le modèle fixé et les plaça dans la première salle du Temple: cinq à droite et cinq à gauche.	7 He made the ten golden lamp-stands according to the pattern and placed them in the Hekal, five on theright and five on the left.
8 Il fit 10 tables: on les plaça dans le Temple: 10 à droite et 10 à gauche. Il fit également 100 cruches d’or.	8 He made ten tables which he set up in the Hekal, five on the right and five on the left. He also made ahundred golden sprinkling bowls.
9 Il fit la cour des prêtres et la grande cour avec leurs portes; les portes étaient recouvertes de bronze.	9 He made the court of the priests and the great court with its gates and plated the gates with bronze.
10 Il plaça la Mer du côté droit et regardant vers le Sud.	10 The Sea he placed on the right-hand side of the Temple, to the south-east.
11 Houram fit aussi les vases, les pelles et les coupes. Houram termina donc tout le travail que le roi Salomon lui avait commandé pour la Maison de Dieu:	11 Huram made the ash containers, the scoops and the sprinkling bowls. Thus Huram completed al thework done for King Solomon for the Temple of God:
12 les deux colonnes, les deux moulures des chapiteaux en haut des colonnes, les deux filets qui couvraient les moulures des deux chapiteaux au sommet des colonnes,	12 the two pillars; the mouldings of the capitals surmounting the two pil ars; the two sets of filigree tocover the two mouldings of the capitals surmounting the pil ars;
13 les 400 grenades des deux filets, fixées en deux rangées pour chaque filet et qui recouvraient donc les chapiteaux au sommet des colonnes,	13 the four hundred pomegranates for the two sets of filigree -- two rows of pomegranates for each set offiligree;
14 les 10 bassins avec leurs bases,	14 the ten stands and the ten basins on the stands;
15 la Mer et les 12 bœufs qui la soutenaient,	15 the one Sea and the twelve oxen beneath it;
16 les vases, les pelles, les fourchettes. Houram-Abi fit en bronze poli tous ces objets commandés par le roi Salomon pour la Maison de Yahvé.	16 the ash containers, scoops and forks. Al these utensils made by Huram-Abi for King Solomon for theTemple of Yahweh were of burnished bronze.
17 Le roi les fit fondre dans la plaine du Jourdain, près du gué d’Adam, entre Soukkoth et Sartan.	17 The King made them by the process of sand casting, in the plain of the Jordan between Succoth andZeredah.
18 Ces objets faits par Salomon étaient si nombreux qu’on ne pouvait en compter le poids de bronze.	18 There was such an enormous quantity of them that the weight of the bronze could not be calculated.
19 Salomon fit faire tous les objets qui étaient dans la Maison de Dieu: l’autel en or et les tables pour les pains des offrandes,	19 Solomon made al the objects designed for the Temple of God, as wel as the golden altar and thetables for the loaves of permanent offering;
20 les chandeliers d’or fin et leurs lampes pour les faire brûler selon la coutume devant le Sanctuaire: ils étaient en or fin,	20 the lamp-stands with their lamps to burn, as prescribed, in front of the Debir, of pure gold;
21 les décorations florales, les lampes, les éteignoirs en or fin,	21 the floral work, the lamps, the tongs, of gold (and it was pure gold);
22 les couteaux, les cruches, les écuelles, les encensoirs en or fin, la porte de la Maison, les portes intérieures qui menaient au Saint des Saints, en or fin.	22 the snuffers, the sprinkling bowls, incense ladles and the pans, of real gold; and the entrance to theTemple, the inner doors (for the Holy of Holies) and the doors of the Temple itself, that is of the Hekal, were alsomade of gold.
