Ezechiele 5

BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 E tu, figliuolo d' uomo, togli uno coltello affilato, che rada li peli; e torrai quello, e menera?lo per lo capo tuo, e per la tua barba; e torrai una statera di peso, e dividera'li.	1 'Son of man, take a sharp sword, use it like a barber's razor and run it over your head and beard. Thentake scales and divide the hair you have cut off.
2 E arderai la terza parte al fuoco nel mezzo della città, appresso al compimento dei dì dello assedio; e torrai la terza parte, e tagliera'la col collo nel suo circuito; e l' altra terza parte spargerai al vento, e snuderò lo coltello dopo loro.	2 Burn one-third inside the city, while the days of the siege are working themselves out. Then takeanother third and chop it up with the sword all round the city. The last third you are to scatter to the wind, while Iunsheathe the sword behind them.
3 E torrai indi uno piccolo numero, e leghera'li nella sommità del tuo pallio, (cioè del tuo mantello, ovvero vestimento).	3 Also take a few hairs and tie them up in the folds of your cloak;
4 E anche torrai un' altra volta di quelli, e gettera'li nel mezzo del fuoco; e abbruciali al fuoco, e di quello uscirà fuoco in tutta la casa d' Israel.	4 and of these again take a few, and throw them on the fire and burn them. From them fire will come onthe whole House of Israel.
5 Questo dice lo Signore Iddio (d' Israel): questa è Ierusalem; io la puosi nel mezzo della gente, e nel suo circuito le terre.	5 'The Lord Yahweh says this, "This is Jerusalem, which I have placed in the middle of the nations,surrounded with foreign countries.
6 E disprezzò li miei giudicii per essere più malvagia che le genti; e li miei comandamenti, più che le terre le quali sono nel suo circuito; e gittarono li miei giudicii, e non andarono nelli miei comandamenti.	6 She has rebelled more perversely against my observances than the nations have, and against my lawsthan the surrounding countries have; for they have rejected my observances and not kept my laws."
7 Per questo dice Iddio: per che soperchiaste le genti le quali sono nel vostro circuito, e non andaste nelli miei comandamenti, e non faceste li miei giudicii, e non avete adoperato secondo li giudicii delle genti che sono nel circuito vostro;	7 'Therefore, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Because your disorders are worse than those of the nationsround you, since you do not keep my laws or respect my observances, and since you do not respect even theobservances of the surrounding nations,
8 però dice questo lo Signore: ecco, io dico a te; io medesimo farò nel mezzo di te giudicii nelli occhi delle genti.	8 very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: I, too, am against you and shal execute my judgements on youfor the nations to see.
9 E farò in te quello ch' io non feci, e quelle cose ch' io non farò mai simili, per cagion di tutte le tue abominazioni.	9 Because of al your loathsome practices I shal do such things as I have never done before, nor shallever do again.
10 Però li padri mangiaranno li figliuoli in mezzo di te, e i figliuoli mangiaranno de' loro padri; e farò in te giudicii, e ventolerò lo tuo rimanente ad ogni vento.	10 Those of you who are parents wil eat their children, and children wil eat their parents. I shall executejudgement on you and disperse what remains of you to the winds.
11 Però io vivo, dice lo Signore Iddio, se non per che tu violasti lo mio santo in tutte le tue offensioni, e in tutte le tue abominazioni; ma io ti romperò, e l'occhio mio non perdonerà, e io non averò misericordia.	11 For, as I live -- declares Lord Yahweh -- as sure as you have defiled my sanctuary with al your horrorsand all your loathsome practices, so I too shal reject you without a glance of pity, I shal not spare you.
12 La terza parte di te morrà di pestilenza, e sarà consumata di fame nel mezzo di te; e l'altra terza parte caderà morta di coltello nel tuo circuito; ma la terza parte di te spargerò al vento, e isguainerò lo coltello dopo loro.	12 A third of your citizens wil die of plague or starve to death inside you; a third wil fall by the swordround you; and a third I shal scatter to the winds, unsheathing the sword behind them.
13 E compierò lo mio furore, e farò riposare la mia indignazione in loro, e sì mi consolerò; e saperanno che io Signore ho parlato nel mio fervore, quando io compirò la indignazion mia in loro.	13 I shal sate my anger and bring my fury to rest on them until I am avenged; and when I have sated myfury on them, then they wil know that I, Yahweh, spoke out of jealousy for you.
14 E farò te deserta, e darotti in vituperio alle genti le quali sono nel tuo circuito, nel cospetto di tutti quelli che passeranno.	14 Yes, I shal reduce you to a ruin, an object of derision to the surrounding nations, in the eyes of al whopass by.
15 E sarai obbrobrio e blasfemia, ed esemplo e stupor nelle genti le quali sono nel tuo circuito, quando io averò fatto in te li giudicii nel furore e nella indignazione e nelle riprensioni dell' ira.	15 You will be an object of derision and insults, an example, an object of amazement to the surroundingnations, when I execute judgement on you in furious anger and furious punishments. I, Yahweh, have spoken.
16 Io Signore hoe parlato: quando io averoe mandate le saette pessime della fame (insino alla morte) in loro, le quali saranno mortali, e manderolle acciò ch' io li disperga; e radunerò la fame sopra voi, e romperò in voi la mazzuola del pane.	16 On them I shal send the deadly arrows of famine, which wil destroy you -- for I shall send them todestroy you; then I shall make the famine worse and cut off your food supply.
17 E metterò in voi la fame, e sopra voi bestie pessime insino alla morte; e pestilenza e sangue passeranno per te, e menerò lo coltello sopra te. Io Signore hoe parlato.	17 I shal send famine and wild animals on you to rob you of your children; plague and bloodshed wilsweep through you, and I shal bring the sword down on you. I, Yahweh, have spoken." '
