1 Le quali cose poscia ch' elle sono fatte, tentò Iddio Abraam. Quegli rispuose: io sono presente.	1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
2 Ed egli disse a lui: tuogli lo tuo figliuolo unigenito Isaac, il quale tu ami, e va nella terra della visione, e offerira' qui lui in sacrificio sopra uno monte ch' io ti mostrerà (che muoia esso, tuo figliuolo primogenito, a me in sacrificio).	2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
3 Adunque Abraam, di notte levatosi, selloe l'asino suo, menando seco duo fanciulli giovani, ed Isaac suo figliuolo. E conciosia cosa ch' esso tagliasse le legne in sacrificio, andò al luogo il quale gli avea comandato Iddio (andando tre dì).	3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.
4 Ma il terzo dì, levati gli occhii, vidde il luogo dalla lunga.	4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.
5 E disse a'fanciulli suoi: aspettate qui col l'asino; io e il fanciullo insino colà anderemo affrettantici; e poscia che noi averemo adorato, ritorneremo a voi.	5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you,
6 E tolse le legne del sacrificio, e puosele sopra Isaac suo figliuolo; ed egli portava nelle mani sue lo fuoco e lo coltello; e conciosiacosa che amendue andassero insieme,	6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.
7 disse Isaac al padre suo: padre mio. E quegli rispuose, e disse: che vuogli, figliuolo mio? Ed egli disse: ecco lo fuoco e le legne; dov'è la vittima (cioè la bestia) dello sacrificio?	7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
8 Disse Abraam: Iddio la provederà a sè la vittima dello sacrificio, figliuolo mio. Andavano adunque parimente.	8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
9 E vennero al luogo, il quale gli avea mostrato il Signore; nel quale edificò l'altare, e di sopra impuose le legne. E conciosiacosa che legasse Isaac suo figliuolo, puose lui nell'altare sopra l'ordinamento delle legne.	9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.
10 E istese la mano, e levoe lo coltello, acciò che sacrificasse lo figliuolo suo.	10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
11 Ed ecco l'angiolo del Signore del cielo; e chiamò: Abraam Abraam, dicendo. Il quale rispuose, e disse: io sono presente.	11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
12 E disse a lui: non istendere la mano tua sopra lo fanciullo, e non gli fare a lui nulla; perchè io hoe conosciuto che tu temi Iddio, e non perdonasti al figliuolo tuo unigenito per me.	12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
13 E levoe Abraam gli occhii, e videsi drieto uno montone intra le spine cozzante colle corna; lo quale togliendolo, offerse lo sacrificio per lo figliuolo.	13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
14 E chiamò lo nome di quello luogo: Lo Signore VIDDE. Onde insino ad oggi si è detto: MONTE LO SIGNORE VEDERÀ.	14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
15 E chiamò l'angelo del Signore la seconda volta del cielo Abraam, e disse:	15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
16 Per me medesimo dicendo giurai, dice lo Signore; poi che tu facesti questa cosa, e non per donasti al figliuolo tuo unigenito,	16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
17 io benedicerò te, e moltiplicherò lo seme tuo, siccome le stelle del cielo, e siccome l'arena la quale è nel lito del mare. Possederà lo seme tuo le porte dei nimici loro.	17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 E saranno benedette nel seme tuo tutte le genti della terra; imperciochè tu obbedisti alla voce mia.	18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
19 E tornato è Abraam a' fanciulli suoi; ed andarosene insieme a Bersabea, e abitarono quivi.	19 So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beer-sheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beer-sheba.
20 Queste cose così fatte, nunciato è ad Abraam, che in verità Melca avea generato figliuoli a Nacor suo fratello e Ca	20 And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she hath also born children unto thy brother Nahor;
21 Us primogenito, e Buz fratello suo,muel padre de'Siri,	21 Huz his firstborn, and Buz his brother, and Kemuel the father of Aram,
22 e Cased e Azau e Feldas e Jedlaf,	22 And Chesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and Jidlaph, and Bethuel.
23 e Batuel, del quale nata è Rebecca; questi otto generò Melca a Nacor, fratello di Abraam.	23 And Bethuel begat Rebekah: these eight Milcah did bear to Nahor, Abraham's brother.
24 Ma la concubina sua avea nome Roma; e partorì Tabee e Gaam e Taas e Maaca.	24 And his concubine, whose name was Reumah, she bare also Tebah, and Gaham, and Thahash, and Maachah.
