| 2 دان يوسف وبنيامين نفتالي جاد واشير. | 2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. |
| 3 بنو يهوذا عير واونان وشيلة. ولد الثلاثة من بنت شوع الكنعانية. وكان عير بكر يهوذا شريرا في عيني الرب فاماته. | 3 The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, and Shelah; these three Bath-shua the Canaanitess bore to him. Now Er, Judah's first-born, was wicked in the sight of the LORD, and he slew him. |
| 4 وثامار كنته ولدت له فارص وزارح. كل بني يهوذا خمسة. | 4 His daughter-in-law Tamar also bore him Perez and Zerah. Judah had five sons in all. |
| 5 ابنا فارص حصرون وحامول. | 5 The sons of Perez: Hezron and Hamul. |
| 6 وبنو زارح زمري وايثان وهيمان وكلكول ودارع. الجميع خمسة. | 6 The sons of Zerah: Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara, five in all. |
| 7 وابن كرمي عخار مكدّر اسرائيل الذي خان في الحرام. | 7 The sons of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the matter of the devoted thing; |
| 8 وابن ايثان عزريا. | 8 and Ethan's son was Azariah. |
| 9 وبنو حصرون الذين ولدوا له يرحمئيل ورام وكلوباي. | 9 The sons of Hezron, that were born to him: Jerahmeel, Ram, and Chelubai. |
| 10 ورام ولد عمّيناداب وعمّيناداب ولد نحشون رئيس بني يهوذا | 10 Ram was the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab was the father of Nahshon, prince of the sons of Judah. |
| 11 ونحشون ولد سلمو وسلمو ولد بوعز | 11 Nahshon was the father of Salma, Salma of Boaz, |
| 12 وبوعز ولد عوبيد وعوبيد ولد يسّى. | 12 Boaz of Obed, Obed of Jesse. |
| 13 ويسّى ولد بكره اليآب وابيناداب الثاني وشمعى الثالث | 13 Jesse was the father of Eliab his first-born, Abinadab the second, Shimea the third, |
| 14 ونثنئيل الرابع وردّاي الخامس | 14 Nethanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth, |
| 15 واوصم السادس وداود السابع. | 15 Ozem the sixth, David the seventh; |
| 16 واختاهم صروية وابيجايل. وبنو صروية ابشاي ويوآب وعسائيل ثلاثة. | 16 and their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. The sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, Joab, and Asahel, three. |
| 17 وابيجايل ولدت عماسا وابو عماسا يثر الاسمعيلي | 17 Abigail bore Amasa, and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmaelite. |
| 18 وكالب بن حصرون ولد من عزوبة امرأته ومن يريعوث. وهؤلاء بنوها ياشر وشوباب واردون. | 18 Caleb the son of Hezron had children by his wife Azubah, and by Jerioth; and these were her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon. |
| 19 وماتت عزوبة فاتخذ كالب لنفسه أفرات فولدت له حور. | 19 When Azubah died, Caleb married Ephrath, who bore him Hur. |
| 20 وحور ولد اوري واوري ولد بصلئيل. | 20 Hur was the father of Uri, and Uri was the father of Bezalel. |
| 21 وبعد دخل حصرون على بنت ماكير ابي جلعاد واتخذها وهو ابن ستين سنة فولدت له سجوب. | 21 Afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old; and she bore him Segub; |
| 22 وسجوب ولد يائير وكان له ثلاث وعشرون مدينة في ارض جلعاد. | 22 and Segub was the father of Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead. |
| 23 واخذ جشور وارام حوّوث يائير منهم مع قناة وقراها ستين مدينة. كل هؤلاء بنو ماكير ابي جلعاد. | 23 But Geshur and Aram took from them Havvoth-jair, Kenath and its villages, sixty towns. All these were descendants of Machir, the father of Gilead. |
| 24 وبعد وفاة حصرون في كالب افراتة ولدت له ابيّاه امرأة حصرون اشحور ابا تقوع | 24 After the death of Hezron, Caleb went in to Ephrathah, the wife of Hezron his father, and she bore him Ashhur, the father of Tekoa. |
| 25 وكان بنو يرحمئيل بكر حصرون البكر رام ثم بونة واورن واوصم واخيّا. | 25 The sons of Jerahmeel, the first-born of Hezron: Ram, his first-born, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah. |
| 26 وكانت امرأة اخرى ليرحمئيل اسمها عطارة. هي ام اونام. | 26 Jerahmeel also had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam. |
| 27 وكان بنو رام بكر يرحمئيل معص ويمين وعاقر. | 27 The sons of Ram, the first-born of Jerahmeel: Maaz, Jamin, and Eker. |
| 28 وكان ابنا اونام شمّاي وياداع. وابنا شمّاي ناداب وابيشور. | 28 The sons of Onam: Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur. |
| 29 واسم امرأة ابيشور ابيحايل وولدت له احبان وموليد. | 29 The name of Abishur's wife was Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid. |
| 30 وابنا ناداب سلد وافّايم. ومات سلد بلا بنين. | 30 The sons of Nadab: Seled and Appa-im; and Seled died childless. |
| 31 وابن افّايم يشعي وابن يشعي شيشان وابن شيشان احلاي. | 31 The sons of Appa-im: Ishi. The sons of Ishi: Sheshan. The sons of Sheshan: Ahlai. |
| 32 وابنا ياداع اخي شمّاي يثر ويوناثان. ومات يثر بلا بنين. | 32 The sons of Jada, Shammai's brother: Jether and Jonathan; and Jether died childless. |
| 33 وابنا يوناثان فالت وزازا. هؤلاء هم بنو يرحمئيل. | 33 The sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were the descendants of Jerahmeel. |
| 34 ولم يكن لشيشان بنون بل بنات. وكان لشيشان عبد مصري اسمه يرحع. | 34 Now Sheshan had no sons, only daughters; but Sheshan had an Egyptian slave, whose name was Jarha. |
| 35 فاعطى شيشان ابنته ليرحع عبده امرأة فولدت له عتّاي. | 35 So Sheshan gave his daughter in marriage to Jarha his slave; and she bore him Attai. |
| 36 وعتّاي ولد ناثان وناثان ولد زاباد | 36 Attai was the father of Nathan and Nathan of Zabad. |
| 37 وزاباد ولد افلال وافلال ولد عوبيد | 37 Zabad was the father of Ephlal, and Ephlal of Obed. |
| 38 وعوبيد ولد ياهو وياهو ولد عزريا | 38 Obed was the father of Jehu, and Jehu of Azariah. |
| 39 وعزريا ولد حالص وحالص ولد إلعاسة | 39 Azariah was the father of Helez, and Helez of Ele-asah. |
| 40 وإلعاسة ولد سسماي وسسماي ولد شلّوم | 40 Ele-asah was the father of Sismai, and Sismai of Shallum. |
| 41 وشلّوم ولد يقمية ويقمية ولد اليشمع | 41 Shallum was the father of Jekamiah, and Jekamiah of Elishama. |
| 42 وبنو كالب اخي يرحمئيل ميشاع بكره. هو ابو زيف. وبنو مريشة ابي حبرون. | 42 The sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel: Mareshah his first-born, who was the father of Ziph. The sons of Mareshah: Hebron. |
| 43 وبنو حبرون قورح وتفّوح وراقم وشامع. | 43 The sons of Hebron: Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema. |
| 44 وشامع ولد راقم ابا يرقعا. وراقم ولد شمّاي. | 44 Shema was the father of Raham, the father of Jorke-am; and Rekem was the father of Shammai. |
| 45 وابن شمّاي معون ومعون ابو بيت صور. | 45 The son of Shammai: Maon; and Maon was the father of Bethzur. |
| 46 وعيفة سرية كالب ولدت حاران وموصا وجازيز. وحاران ولد جازيز. | 46 Ephah also, Caleb's concubine, bore Haran, Moza, and Gazez; and Haran was the father of Gazez. |
| 47 وبنو يهداي رجم ويوثام وجيشان وفلط وعيفة وشاعف. | 47 The sons of Jahdai: Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph. |
| 48 واما معكة سرية كالب فولدت شبر وترحنة. | 48 Maacah, Caleb's concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah. |
| 49 وولدت شاعف ابا مدمنّة وشوا ابا مكبينا وابا جبعا. وبنت كالب عكسة | 49 She also bore Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah and the father of Gibe-a; and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah. |
| 50 هؤلاء هم بنو كالب بن حور بكر افراتة. شوبال ابو قرية يعاريم | 50 These were the descendants of Caleb. The sons of Hur the first-born of Ephrathah: Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim, |
| 51 وسلما ابو بيت لحم وحاريف ابو بيت جادير. | 51 Salma, the father of Bethelem, and Hareph the father of Beth-gader. |
| 52 وكان لشوبال ابي قرية يعاريم بنون هرواه وحصي همّنوحوت | 52 Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim had other sons: Haroeh, half of the Menuhoth. |
| 53 وعشائر قرية يعاريم اليثري والفوتي والشماتي والمشراعي. من هؤلاء خرج الصرعي والاشتاولي. | 53 And the families of Kiriath-jearim: the Ithrites, the Puthites, the Shumathites, and the Mishra-ites; from these came the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites. |
| 54 بنو سلما بيت لحم والنطوفاتي وعطروت بيت يوآب وحصي المنوحي الصرعي. | 54 The sons of Salma: Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth-beth-joab, and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites. |
| 55 وعشائر الكتبة سكان يعبيص ترعاتيم وشمعاتيم وسوكاتيم. هم القينيون الخارجون من حمّة ابي بيت ركاب | 55 The families also of the scribes that dwelt at Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shime-athites, and the Sucathites. These are the Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab. |
