Ezechiele 22

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 «Figlio dell'uomo, e non giudicherai tu, non giudicherai tu la città del sangue?	2 'Son of man, are you ready to judge? Are you ready to judge the blood-stained city? Confront her withal her loathsome practices!
3 Orsù, falle vedere tutte le sue abominazioni e dirai: - Così dice il Signore Dio: Città che nel suo grembo sparge il sangue, affinchè venga l'ora sua; che fabbricò idoli a proprio danno per contaminarsi.	3 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: City shedding blood inside yourself to hasten your doom, makingfoul idols on your soil to defile yourself,
4 Ti sei fatta rea del sangue che da te fu sparso, ti sei contaminata negl'idoli che hai fabbricati, hai fatto approssimare i giorni tuoi e condotto il tempio dei tuoi anni alla sua ora; perciò ti ho fatta il vituperio delle genti, la derisione di tutte le contrade,	4 you have incurred guilt by the blood you have shed, you have defiled yourself with the foul idols youhave made, you have shortened your days, you have come to the end of your years. This is why I have madeyou an object of scorn to the nations and a laughing-stock to every country.
5 quelle da vicino e quelle da lontano andranno trionfanti per te, sentina infame, esimia e grande nella corruzione.	5 From far and near they will taunt you with your infamous disorders.
6 Ecco che i principi d'Israele in mezzo a te prestarono ciascuno il loro braccio per spargere sangue;	6 "Look! In you the princes of Israel, one and all, have furthered their own interests at the cost ofbloodshed;
7 in mezzo a te oltraggiarono il padre e la madre; in mezzo a te maltrattarono il forestiere; in mezzo a te il pupillo e la vedova fecero soffrire.	7 in you people have despised their fathers and mothers; in you they have il -treated the settler; in youthey have oppressed the widow and orphan.
8 Hai sprezzato le cose a me consacrate e profanati i miei sabati.	8 You have treated my sanctuary with contempt, you have profaned my Sabbaths.
9 Hai avuto in mezzo a te uomini fabbricatori di calunnie per spargere il sangue e quei che parteciparono ai pasti sopra i monti e commisero turpitudini stanno in mezzo a te.	9 In you informers incite to bloodshed; in you people eat on the mountains and act licentiously;
10 In mezzo a te hanno fatto oltraggio alla verecondia paterna; in mezzo a te hanno avvilita la donna mestruata;	10 in you they have sexual intercourse with their fathers; in you they force themselves on women in theirperiods;
11 ognuno ha commesso turpitudini colla moglie del prossimo; il suocero contaminò la nuora con nefandezze; il fratello fece violenza alla sua sorellastra, in mezzo a te.	11 in you one man engages in loathsome practices with his neighbour's wife, another lewdly defiles hisdaughter-in-law, another violates his sister, his own father's daughter.
12 In te si ricevettero di sottomano regali per spargere il sangue, tu esigesti le usure e gli interessi, tu hai esercitato la frode contro il tuo prossimo per avarizia, e di me ti sei dimenticata, dice il Signore Dio.	12 In you people take bribes for shedding blood; you lend for profit and charge interest, you profit fromyour fel ow by extortion and have forgotten about me -- declares the Lord Yahweh.
13 Ecco che percuoto le palme sull'avarizia che hai esercitata e sul sangue che in mezzo a te fu versato.	13 "Now I shal clap my hands at your acts of banditry and the blood that flows in you.
14 Il tuo cuore reggerà e le tue mani resisteranno ai giorni che io preparerò contro di te? Io, il Signore, ho parlato, e lo farò.	14 Wil your heart be able to resist, will your hands be steady, the day when I cal you to account? I,Yahweh, have spoken and shall act.
15 E ti disperderò tra le nazioni, e ti ventilerò per le terre, e farò scomparire da te la tua immondezza.	15 I shal scatter you among the nations and disperse you in foreign countries, and so put an end to thefilthiness now inside you;
16 E rientrerò in possesso di te al cospetto delle genti, e riconoscerai che io sono il Signore -».	16 through your own fault, you wil be profaned in the eyes of the nations, and you wil know that I amYahweh!" '
17 E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:	17 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
18 «Figlio dell'uomo, la casa d'Israele mi si è cambiata in scoria; tutti costoro sono rame, stagno, ferro e piombo entro a un forno fusorio e si sono convertiti in scoria.	18 'Son of man, for me, the House of Israel has become dross: copper, tin, iron, lead, al mixed uptogether in the melting-pot; they are dross.
19 Perciò, così dice il Signore Dio: - Giacchè vi siete tutti convertiti in scoria, ecco perciò che io vi radunerò entro a Gerusalemme,	19 And so, Lord Yahweh says this, "Since you have al become dross, right! I shall collect you insideJerusalem.
20 come si raduna argento, rame, stagno, ferro e piombo dentro un forno, e vi avvamperò il fuoco per la fusione, in tal guisa vi radunerò davanti al mio furore e all'ira mia, e starò fermo all'opera e vi farò fondere.	20 As silver, copper, iron, lead and tin are col ected in the melting-pot, and the fire is blown underneathto melt them down, so I shal collect you in my furious anger and have you melted down;
21 E vi radunerò e avvamperò contro di voi il fuoco del mio furore, e là nel mezzo sarete messi in fusione.	21 I shal collect you and blow up the fire of my rage for you and have you melted down inside the city.
22 Come argento messo alla fusione in mezzo al forno, così sarete voi in mezzo alla vostra città, e conoscerete che io sono il Signore, quando avrò versato sopra di voi la mia indignazione -».	22 As silver is melted in the melting-pot, so you will be melted down inside the city, and you wil knowthat I, Yahweh, have vented my fury on you." '
23 E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:	23 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
24 «Figlio dell'uomo, le dirai: - Tu sei una terra impura lasciata senza pioggia, nel giorno del mio furore.	24 'Son of man, say to her, "You are a land that has not received rain or shower on the day of anger.
25 In mezzo ad essa v'è una congrega di profeti congiurata al suo danno; come un branco di leoni ruggenti che sbranano la preda, hanno divorate le anime, e gli averi e le ricchezze hanno preso, e hanno moltiplicate le vedove in mezzo di essa.	25 In you, the princes are like a roaring lion tearing its prey. They have eaten the people, seized wealthand jewels and widowed many inside her.
26 I suoi sacerdoti hanno disprezzato la mia legge, profanarono le cose a me consacrate; tra il sacro e il profano non fecero differenza e non conobbero distinzione tra l'impuro e il puro, e i miei sabati lasciarono inosservati e io mi sento profanato in mezzo ad essi.	26 Her priests have violated my law and desecrated my sanctuary; they have made no distinctionbetween sacred and profane, they have not taught people the difference between clean and unclean; they haveturned their eyes away from my Sabbaths and I have been dishonoured by them.
27 In mezzo di essa i principi suoi sono come lupi rapaci che attentano al sangue altrui e alla rovina delle anime e all'inseguimento del guadagno per avarizia.	27 In her the leaders are wolves tearing their prey, shedding blood and killing people to steal theirpossessions.
28 I loro profeti li raffermavano con cemento che non fa presa, spacciando visioni false, presagendo menzogne dicendo: Così dice il Signore Dio! . Mentre il Signore non aveva parlato.	28 Her prophets have plastered these things over with their empty visions and lying prophecies, saying:Yahweh says this, although Yahweh has not spoken.
29 La gente di questo paese fa frodi sopra frodi e rapine e violenze, maltrattavano il povero e il bisognoso e il forestiere opprimevano a torto senza alcun diritto.	29 The people of the country have taken to extortion and banditry; they have oppressed the poor andneedy and il -treated the settler in a way that is unjustifiable.
30 E ho cercato tra di essi uno che contraponesse un argine e si piantasse alla breccia contro di me in favore della sua terra, affinchè io non la mandassi in rovina e non l'ho trovato.	30 I have been looking for someone among them to build a barricade and oppose me in the breach, todefend the country and prevent me from destroying it; but I have found no one.
31 E così ho riversato sopra di essi la mia indignazione, nell'ardor del mio sdegno li ho consumati, ho fatto ricadere le opere loro sopra il loro capo», dice il Signore Dio.	31 Hence I have vented my fury on them; I have put an end to them in the fire of my rage. I have madetheir conduct recoil on their own heads -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '
