1 And the Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the covenant, on the first day of the second month, in the year after their departure from Egypt, saying:	1 Господь промовив до Мойсея в Синай-пустині, в наметі зборів, першого дня другого місяця, на другий рік по виході з Єгипетської землі:
2 “Take a total of the entire assembly of the sons of Israel, by their families and houses, and the names of each one, of whomever is of the male sex,	2 «Перелічіть усю громаду синів Ізраїля, за родинами їхніми, за батьківськими домами їхніми, рахуючи на ймення поголовно всіх чоловічої статі.
3 from twenty years and above, of all the able-bodied men out of Israel, and you shall number them by their companies, you and Aaron.	3 Від двадцятьох років і старше, кожного, хто здатний до військової служби в Ізраїлі, перелічіть їх за полками їхніми, ти й Арон;
4 And there shall be with you the leaders of the tribes, as well as of the houses, in their kinships,	4 і нехай будуть з вами представники від колін, один від кожного, всі голови у своїх батьківських домах.
5 the names of whom are these: of Ruben, Elizur the son of Shedeur;	5 Ось імена тих мужів, що стоятимуть при вас: від Рувима: Еліцур, син Шедеура.
6 of Simeon, Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai;	6 Від Симеона: Шелумієл, син Цурішаддая.
7 of Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab;	7 Від Юди: Нахшон, син Амінадава.
8 of Issachar, Nathanael the son of Zuar;	8 Від Іссахара: Натанаїл, син Цуара.
9 of Zebulon, Eliab the son of Helon.	9 Від Завулона: Еліяв, син Хелона.
10 And from the sons of Joseph: of Ephraim, Elishama the son of Ammihud; of Manasseh, Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur;	10 Від синів Йосифа: від Ефраїма: Елішама, син Амігуда; від Манассії Гамлієл, син Педацура.
11 of Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gideoni;	11 Від Веніямина: Авідан, син Гідоні.
12 of Dan, Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai;	12 Від Дана: Ахієзер, син Амішаддая.
13 of Asher, Pagiel the son of Ochran;	13 Від Ашера: Пагієл, син Охрана.
14 of Gad, Eliasaph the son of Reuel;	14 Від Гада: Еліясаф, син Реуела.
15 of Naphtali, Ahira the son of Enan.”	15 Від Нафталі: Ахіра, син Енана.»
16 These are the very noble leaders of the multitude, by their tribes and kinships, and the heads of the army of Israel.	16 Оці були вибрані з громади, князі з батьківських колін, що були голови над тисячами в Ізраїлі.
17 Moses and Aaron took these, with all the multitude of the common people,	17 Мойсей та Арон узяли цих людей, що були призначені поіменно,
18 and they gathered them together on the first day of the second month, taking a census of them by kinships, and houses, and families, and heads, and the names of each one from twenty years and above,	18 і першого дня другого місяця скликали всю громаду й списали за їхніми родами, за батьківськими домами, рахуючи на ймення, від двадцятьох років і вище, поголовно.
19 just as the Lord had instructed Moses. And they were numbered in the desert of Sinai.	19 Як заповідав Господь Мойсеєві, так і перелічив він їх у Синайській пустині.
20 Of Ruben, the firstborn of Israel, by their generations and families and houses, and the names of each head, of all who were of the male sex, from twenty years and above, capable of going to war,	20 І було синів Рувима, первістка Ізраїля, їхніх нащадків, порахованих за їхніми родинами, за батьківськими домами, за числом імен їхніх, поголовно, разом усіх чоловіків, від двадцятьох років і старше, усіх здатних до війни,
21 there were forty-six thousand five hundred.	21 порахованих з коліна Рувима, 46 500.
22 Of the sons of Simeon, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names and heads of each one, of all who were of the male sex, from twenty years and above, capable of going to war,	22 Синів Симеона, нащадків їхніх, порахованих за їхніми родинами, за батьківськими домами їхніми, за числом імен їхніх, поголовно, разом усіх чоловіків, від двадцятьох років і старше, усіх здатних до війни,
23 there were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.	23 порахованих синів Симеона, 59 300.
24 Of the sons of Gad, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who could go forth to war,	24 Синів Гада, нащадків їхніх, порахованих за їхніми родинами, за батьківськими домами їхніми, за числом імен їхніх, поголовно, разом усіх чоловіків, від двадцятьох років і старше, усіх здатних до війни,
25 there were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.	25 порахованих з коліна Гада, 45650.
26 Of the sons of Judah, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,	26 Синів Юди, нащадків їхніх, порахованих за їхніми родинами, за батьківськими домами їхніми, за числом імен їхніх, поголовно, разом усіх чоловіків, від двадцятьох років і старше, усіх здатних до війни,
27 there were counted seventy-four thousand six hundred.	27 порахованих з коліна Юди, 74600.
28 Of the sons of Issachar, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who could go forth to war,	28 Синів Іссахара, нащадків їхніх, порахованих за їхніми родинами, за батьківськими домами їхніми, за числом імен їхніх, поголовно, разом усіх чоловіків від двадцятьох років і старше, усіх здатних до війни,
29 there were counted fifty-four thousand four hundred.	29 порахованих з коліна Іссахара, 54 400.
30 Of the sons of Zebulon, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,	30 Синів Завулона, нащадків їхніх, порахованих за їхніми родинами, за батьківськими домами їхніми, за числом імен їхніх, поголовно, разом усіх чоловіків від двадцятьох років і старше, усіх здатних до війни,
31 there were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.	31 порахованих з коліна Завулона, 57400.
32 From the sons of Joseph, of the sons of Ephraim, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,	32 Синів Йосифа від Ефраїма, нащадків їхніх, порахованих за їхніми родинами, за батьківськими домами їхніми, за числом імен їхніх, поголовно, разом усіх чоловіків від двадцятьох років і старше, усіх здатних до війни,
33 there were forty thousand five hundred.	33 порахованих з коліна Ефраїма, 40 500.
34 Furthermore, of the sons of Manasseh, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,	34 Синів Манассії, нащадків їхніх, порахованих за родинами їхніми, за батьківськими домами їхніми, за числом імен їхніх, поголовно, разом усіх чоловіків від двадцятьох років і старше, усіх здатних до війни,
35 there were thirty-two thousand two hundred.	35 порахованих з коліна Манассії, 32 200.
36 Of the sons of Benjamin, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,	36 Синів Веніямина, нащадків їхніх, порахованих за їхніми родинами, за батьківськими домами їхніми, за числом імен їхніх, поголовно, разом усіх чоловіків від двадцятьох років і старше, усіх здатних до війни,
37 there were thirty-five thousand four hundred.	37 порахованих з коліна Веніямина, 35 400.
38 Of the sons of Dan, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,	38 Синів Дана, нащадків їхніх, порахованих за їхніми родинами, за батьківськими домами їхніми, за числом імен їхніх, поголовно, разом усіх чоловіків від двадцятьох років і старше, усіх здатних до війни,
39 there were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.	39 порахованих з коліна Дана, 62 700.
40 Of the sons of Asher, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,	40 Синів Ашера, нащадків їхніх, порахованих за їхніми родинами, за батьківськими домами їхніми, за числом імен їхніх, поголовно, разом усіх чоловіків від двадцятьох років і старше, усіх здатних до війни,
41 there were forty thousand and one thousand five hundred.	41 порахованих з коліна Ашера, 41 500.
42 Of the sons of Naphtali, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,	42
43 there were fifty-three thousand four hundred.	43 порахованих з коліна Нафталі, 53400.
44 These are the ones who were numbered by Moses and Aaron and the twelve leaders of Israel, each one by the houses of their kinships.	44 Оце перечислені, що їх зрахували Мойсей і Арон та дванадцять князів Ізраїля, по одному з кожного батьківського дому.
45 And the entire number of the sons of Israel by their houses and families, from twenty years and above, who were able to go forth to war, were	45 Усіх же порахованих синів Ізраїля, за батьківськими домами їхніми, від двадцятьох років і старше, усіх здатних до війни в Ізраїлі,
46 six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty men.	46 усіх нараховано 603 550.
47 But the Levites in the tribes of their families were not numbered with them.	47 Левітів же, за батьківськими домами їхнього коліна, не пораховано між ними.
48 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	48 Сказав бо Господь Мойсеєві:
49 “Do not number the tribe of Levi, neither shall you take a total of them with the sons of Israel.	49 «Тільки Леві коліно не перелічуватимеш і не даси до перепису між синами Ізраїля,
50 But appoint them over the tabernacle of the testimony, and all its vessels, and whatever pertains to the ceremonies. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its articles. And they shall be for the ministry, and they shall encamp all around the tabernacle.	50 а поставиш їх над храминою свідоцтва й над усім знаряддям її та над усім, що до неї належить. Вони носитимуть храмину і все її знаряддя, вони служитимуть при ній і отаборяться навколо неї.
51 When you would depart, the Levites shall take down the tabernacle. When you are to make camp, they shall set it up. Any outsider who will approach it shall be killed.	51 І коли треба буде переносити храмину, левіти розберуть її; коли ж храмині треба буде зупинитись, левіти поставлять її. Хто ж не з левітів наблизиться до неї, тому смерть.
52 Now the sons of Israel shall make camp, each one by his companies and bands, as well as his army.	52 Сини Ізраїля отаборяться, кожний у своєму таборі і кожний під своїм прапором, за полками своїми.
53 Moreover, the Levites shall fix their tents all around the tabernacle, lest there be an indignation over the multitude of the sons of Israel. And they shall stand watch as guardians over the tabernacle of the testimony.”	53 Левіти отаборяться навколо храмини свідоцтва, бо інакше гнів Божий упаде на громаду синів Ізраїля; левіти вартуватимуть при храмині свідоцтва.»
54 Therefore, the sons of Israel acted according to everything that the Lord had instructed Moses.	54 Вчинили сини Ізраїля все; так, як заповідав Господь Мойсеєві, вчинили вони.
