Psalms 27

1 A Psalm of David himself. To you, Lord, I will cry out. My God, do not be silent toward me. For if you remain silent toward me, I will become like those who descend into the pit.	1 - Salmo di David. A te, o Signore, io grido: Dio mio, non esser sordo verso di me, che, standotene tu insensibile lungi da me, io non somigli a quei che scendon nella fossa!
2 Hear, O Lord, the voice of my supplication, when I pray to you, when I lift up my hands toward your holy temple.	2 Ascolta, o Signore, la voce della mia supplica, mentr'io [grido e] ti prego, mentre levo le mie maniverso il tuo santo tempio.
3 Do not draw me away together with sinners; and let me not perish with those who work iniquity, who speak peacefully to their neighbor, yet evils are in their hearts.	3 Non mi trascinar via con i malfattori, e con gli operatori d'iniquità non mi mandare in rovina; i quali parlan di pace al loro prossimo, e malizia invece è ne' loro cuori.
4 Give to them according to their works and according to the wickedness of their inventions. Assign to them according to the works of their hands. Repay them with their own retribution.	4 Rendi ad essi secondo le loro opere, e secondo la malizia delle loro macchinazioni: secondo le opere delle lor mani retribuiscili, paga loro la mercede che si meritano.
5 Since they have not understood the works of the Lord and the works of his hands, you will destroy them, and you will not build them up.	5 Perché non voglion comprendere le opere del Signore, nè le opere delle sue mani. Li distruggeraie non li riedificherai!
6 Blessed is the Lord, for he has heard the voice of my supplication.	6 Benedetto il Signore, che ha ascoltatola voce della mia supplica.
7 The Lord is my helper and my protector. In him, my heart has hoped and I have been helped. And my flesh has flourished again. And from my will, I shall confess to him.	7 Il Signore è il mio aiuto e il mio protettore: in lui spera il mio cuore. Fui soccorso e rifiorì la mia carne, e con [tutto] il mio cuore a lui dò lode.
8 The Lord is the strength of his people and the protector of the salvation of his Christ.	8 Il Signore, è la forza del suo popoloe protezione di salvezza per il suo Unto.
9 O Lord, save your people and bless your inheritance, and reign over them and exalt them, even unto eternity.	9 Salva il tuo popolo, o Signore, e benedici al tuo retaggio; guidali [qual pastore] e portali [tra le braccia] in eterno.
