Psalmi 11

NOVA VULGATA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Magistro chori. David. In Domino confido, quomodo dicitis animae meae: “ Transmigra in montem sicut passer!	1 [For the choirmaster Of David] In Yahweh I have found refuge. How can you say to me, 'Bird, flee toyour mountain?
2 Quoniam ecce peccatores intenderunt arcum, paraverunt sagittas suas super nervum, ut sagittent in obscuro rectos corde.	2 'For look, the wicked are drawing their bows, fitting their arrows to the string to shoot honest men fromthe shadows.
3 Quando fundamenta evertuntur, iustus quid faciat? ”.	3 If the foundations fal to ruin, what can the upright do?'
4 Dominus in templo sancto suo, Dominus, in caelo sedes eius. Oculi eius in pauperem respiciunt, palpebrae eius interrogant filios hominum.	4 Yahweh in his holy temple! Yahweh, his throne is in heaven; his eyes watch over the world, his gazescrutinises the children of Adam.
5 Dominus interrogat iustum et impium; qui autem diligit iniquitatem, odit anima eius.	5 Yahweh examines the upright and the wicked, the lover of violence he detests.
6 Pluet super peccatores carbones ignis et sulphur; et spiritus procellarum pars calicis eorum.	6 He will rain down red-hot coals, fire and sulphur on the wicked, a scorching wind wil be their lot.
7 Quoniam iustus Dominus et iustitias dilexit, recti videbunt vultum eius.	7 For Yahweh is upright and loves uprightness, the honest will ever see his face.
