Hosea 8

1 Put the trumpet to your lips! Like an eagle, disaster is swooping on Yahweh's home! Because they haveviolated my covenant and been unfaithful to my Law,	1 Трубу к устам твоим! Как орел [налетит] на дом Господень за то, что они нарушили завет Мой и преступили закон Мой!
2 in vain wil they cry, 'My God!' In vain, 'We, Israel, know you!'	2 Ко Мне будут взывать: 'Боже мой! мы познали Тебя, мы--Израиль'.
3 Israel has rejected the good, the enemy will pursue them.	3 Отверг Израиль доброе; враг будет преследовать его.
4 They have set up kings, but without my consent, and appointed princes, but without my knowledge.With their silver and gold, they have made themselves idols, but only to be destroyed.	4 Поставляли царей сами, без Меня; ставили князей, но без Моего ведома; из серебра своего и золота своего сделали для себя идолов: оттуда гибель.
5 I spurn your calf, Samaria! My anger blazes against them! How long wil it be before they recover theirinnocence?	5 Оставил тебя телец твой, Самария! воспылал гнев Мой на них; доколе не могут они очиститься?
6 For it is the product of Israel- a craftsman made the thing, it is no god at al ! The calf of Samaria wil bebroken to pieces!	6 Ибо и он--дело Израиля: художник сделал его, и потому он не бог; в куски обратится телец Самарийский!
7 Since they sow the wind, they will reap the whirlwind; stalk without ear, it wil never yield flour- or if itdoes, foreigners will swallow it.	7 Так как они сеяли ветер, то и пожнут бурю: хлеба на корню не будет у него; зерно не даст муки; а если и даст, то чужие проглотят ее.
8 Israel has himself been swal owed; now they are lost among the nations like something no one wants,	8 Поглощен Израиль; теперь они будут среди народов, как негодный сосуд.
9 for having made approaches to Assyria- like a wild donkey, al alone. Ephraim has rented lovers	9 Они пошли к Ассуру, как дикий осел, одиноко бродящий; Ефрем приобретал подарками расположение к себе.
10 and because he has rented them from the nations I am now going to round them up; soon they wilfeel the weight of the king of princes!	10 Хотя они и посылали дары к народам, но скоро Я соберу их, и они начнут страдать от бремени царя князей;
11 Ephraim keeps building altars for his sins, these very altars are themselves a sin.	11 ибо много жертвенников настроил Ефрем для греха, --ко греху послужили ему эти жертвенники.
12 However much of my Law I write for him, Ephraim regards it as alien to him.	12 Написал Я ему важные законы Мои, но они сочтены им как бы чужие.
13 They offer sacrifices to me and eat the meat, they do not win Yahweh's favour. On the contrary, he wilremember their guilt and punish their sins; they wil have to go back to Egypt.	13 В жертвоприношениях Мне они приносят мясо и едят его; Господу неугодны они; ныне Он вспомнит нечестие их и накажет их за грехи их: они возвратятся в Египет.
14 Israel has forgotten his Maker and has built palaces, while Judah keeps on building fortified towns; butI shal send fire down on his cities to devour their citadels.	14 Забыл Израиль Создателя своего и устроил капища, и Иуда настроил много укрепленных городов; но Я пошлю огонь на города его, и пожрет чертоги его.
