Psalms 71

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 In you, Yahweh, I take refuge, I shal never be put to shame.	1 In Salomone.
2 In your saving justice rescue me, deliver me, listen to me and save me.	2 Iddio, al re dà il giudicio tuo; e la giustizia tua al figliuolo del re; acciò che giudichi il tuo popolo in giustizia, e gli tuoi poveri nel giudicio.
3 Be a sheltering rock for me, always accessible; you have determined to save me, for you are my rock,my fortress.	3 Ricevano li monti la pace al popolo, e li colli la giustizia.
4 My God, rescue me from the clutches of the wicked, from the grasp of the rogue and the ruthless.	4 Giudicherà li poveri del popolo, e farà salvi li figliuoli de' poveri; e umilierà il calunniatore.
5 For you are my hope, Lord, my trust, Yahweh, since boyhood.	5 E dimorerà col sole e avanti la luna, nella generazione e generazione.
6 On you I have relied since my birth, since my mother's womb you have been my portion, the constanttheme of my praise.	6 Discenderà come pioggia nella lana, e come goccie goccianti sopra la terra.
7 Many were bewildered at me, but you are my sure refuge.	7 Nelli suoi di nascerà la giustizia, e abbondanza di pace, insino che sia tolta via [la] luna.
8 My mouth is full of your praises, fil ed with your splendour all day long.	8 E signoreggerà dal mare insino al mare; e dal fiume insino alli termini del mondo.
9 Do not reject me in my old age, nor desert me when my strength is failing,	9 Innanzi a lui inginocchieransi gli Etiopi; e' suoi nemici leccheranno la terra.
10 for my enemies are discussing me, those with designs on my life are plotting together.	10 Li re di Tarsi e le insule offeriranno li doni; li re di Arabia e di Saba porteranno li presenti.
11 'Hound him down, for God has deserted him! Seize him, there is no one to rescue him.'	11 E tutti li re adoreranlo; tutte le genti gli serviranno.
12 God, do not stand aloof, my God, come quickly to help me.	12 Perchè egli libererà il povero dal potente; e il povero a cui non era aiuto.
13 Shame and ruin on those who slander me, may those intent on harming me be covered with insultand infamy.	13 Perdonerà al povero e bisognoso; e farà salve l'anime de' poveri.
14 As for me, my hope wil never fade, I wil praise you more and more.	14 Dalle usure e iniquità ricomperarà loro anime; e loro nome sarà onorato avanti a lui.
15 My lips shal proclaim your saving justice, your saving power all day long.	15 Ed egli viverà, e saralli dato dell' auro di Arabia, e di quello adoreranno sempre; e tutto il di benediceranno a lui.
16 I wil come in the power of Yahweh to tel of your justice, yours alone.	16 Sarà il firmamento in la terra nelle cime de' monti; sopra leveransi le sue onde sopra il Libano; fioriranno dalla città come fieno della terra.
17 God, you have taught me from boyhood, and I am still proclaiming your marvels.	17 Sia benedetto il nome suo IN SECULA; inanzi il sole permane il suo nome. E benediransi in lui tutte le tribù della terra; tutte le genti il magnificheranno.
18 Now that I am old and grey-haired, God, do not desert me, til I have proclaimed your strength togenerations still to come, your power	18 Benedetto è il Signore Iddio d' Israel (solo), il quale solo fa le maraviglie.
19 and justice to the skies. You have done great things, God, who is like you?	19 E sia benedetto il nome della sua maestà in eterno; e riempierassi ogni terra della sua maestà; e così sia fatto.
20 You have shown me much misery and hardship, but you will give me life again, You will raise me upagain from the depths of the earth,	20 Vennero a meno (gl' inni, ovver) le laudi di David, figliuolo di Iesse.
21 prolong my old age, and comfort me again.
22 For my part, I will thank you on the lyre for your constancy, my God. I wil play the harp in yourhonour, Holy One of Israel.
23 My lips sing for joy as I play to you, because you have redeemed me,
24 and al day long my tongue muses on your saving justice. Shame and disgrace on those intent toharm me!
